00:00 Well, LeBron James said about Bronny James and him being just a kid and to let him be
00:04 a kid was hypocritical, if we're being real about it, because he did also say that Bronny
00:09 could play on the Lakers right now.
00:11 But I think we deserve, or the James family is owed some grace here, Dakota, because Bronny
00:16 had a serious health scare over the summer, the kind, you know, you don't even want to
00:21 imagine having to go through.
00:23 So I do want to dial it back and relax a little bit before we go in on what LeBron might be
00:29 saying about it on social media.
00:31 Yeah, I get that to some extent.
00:35 But on the other end, like you can't always expect preferential treatment.
00:40 Every kid has to deal with the mock draft stuff.
00:42 It's just it's just part of it.
00:44 Also, you're somebody who benefited from the mock draft stuff when you came out because
00:50 everybody knew you were going to be the overall pick.
00:51 And there was a lot of mock drafts that aided you in that saying that you're going to be
00:55 the number one pick.
00:57 Bronny unfortunately has to go through the same process as a lot of kids.
01:00 I understand and I'm sympathetic to the health scare that he had.
01:04 But those people are just doing their jobs.
01:06 Like I get it that you want to defend your child because that's your son.
01:09 And I'm sure it's a lot of parents of kids who are in mock drafts who either don't like
01:14 where they're placed or math and not placed.
01:17 But because he has a platform is going to get elevated more.
01:19 But at the end of the day, like it just comes with the territory.
01:22 So I get his frustration, but people just don't adjust.
01:27 Yeah, I'm not saying he should or shouldn't be included in mock drafts as a result.
01:31 I mean, look, Ronnie was never projected that high in the first place.
01:35 What I'm talking about is the reaction from people about it.
01:38 You know, like they don't need to be mocked for the mock draft, considering the fact that
01:42 he's fresh off suffering a cardiac arrest that could impact how he plays, where his
01:47 mind state is and all those things.
01:49 So that's what I'm saying about showing grace, not that you shouldn't still project what
01:53 he's trying to do going forward.
01:54 I mean, he's a basketball player.
01:55 Yeah, I get it.
01:56 And yeah, you should show him grace, but he gets to benefit from it on both ends.
02:02 He's also, there's just been reports about the fact that the Lakers be willing to bring
02:07 him in because it would satisfy LeBron.
02:10 And in the same way, like you get frustrated because people aren't being sensitive to the
02:15 fact that he did suffer cardiac arrest.
02:17 And the mock draft said what it said about him not being in this class.
02:20 It don't matter.
02:22 He making millions regardless in NL deals.
02:26 And you know, at the end of the day, you always have in your back pocket that the Lakers will
02:29 bring him in to make you be, to keep you happy.
02:32 So it's just like, you can't play both sides, bro.
02:35 Yeah.
02:36 I mean, I guess being the son of LeBron James is a gift and a curse, but it's way more of
02:40 a gift.
02:41 Yes.
