00:00 You know,
00:11 Come on.
00:35 What's up?
00:43 Welcome to the show.
01:02 Facebook slash Idol TV, or
01:07 "Kubala Day Zero",paced by others - it is from YouTube and "TV 2".
01:11 I need to ask you a question, Leuka.
01:14 The questions I ask you when you are here is to
01:25 what period of time were you participating in your traditional music?
01:29 A problem.
01:33 Yes, because many Opinionants even disagree.
01:37 I am not sure if you are aware of the Electoral Commission, which is a state of the nation.
01:41 It is a state of the nation that has been established by the President.
01:45 It is a state of the nation that has been established by the President.
01:49 It is a state of the nation that has been established by the President.
01:54 The government is doing its part to make the work of the Electoral Commission go smoothly.
02:00 A lot of responsibility lies on the political parties as well.
02:06 And I hope that the parties recognize that their credibility is also on the line.
02:13 It is up to the parties to demonstrate that competitive elections are an honorable, character-enhancing experience.
02:21 At the end of the process, the loser will congratulate the winner.
02:26 And the war does not come to an end because an election has been lost.
02:32 In discharging their responsibility, I ask the Electoral Commission to work with the political parties
02:39 to iron out whatever problems there might be.
02:42 And I am happy that the Electoral Commission, after engaging the parties,
02:48 has shelved plans to change the 7th December date.
02:54 Government on its part will do what is expected of it to make sure that the reputation of Ghana is not damaged.
03:03 And the free will of the people is manifested at the end of the electoral process.
03:09 And I want to reassure the people of Ghana that I will do everything in my power
03:15 to ensure the conduct of transparent, free and fair elections on 7th December.
03:21 [Cheering]
03:23 [Ghanaian]
03:42 The University of Environment Sustainable Development Project at Bunso in the Eastern Region
03:48 phase two of the construction of roads in Tamari
03:52 and the construction of the 84-kilometer railway line between Tama and Nakosumbu would also be completed.
04:00 [Cheering]
04:03 Mr. Speaker, I am happy to announce that an alternative source of funding has also been secured
04:10 for the reconstruction and completion of La Hospital Project
04:15 as a fully functional modern hospital with the necessary equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
04:22 The contractor has been paid an advance mobilization of 15%,
04:27 representing some 7.5 million United States dollars, and work has begun.
04:34 The project commenced effectively in January this year and will be completed in 28 months.

05:19 I am here to recommend the performance tractor.
05:23 In the short knowledge that the Akufo-Edo government has done more in education in terms of student enrollment,
05:30 teacher training and employment, provision of infrastructure than any government.
05:36 [Cheering]
05:39 We have similarly done more in health, agriculture, security, roads, railways, tourism, digitalization than any other government.
05:48 [Cheering]
05:51 Thanks to the performance tractor, the President no longer has to go through lists.
05:57 And I have the confidence to say that every performance indicator used
06:03 shows we have done more in these seven years than in any of the eight years under the National Democratic Congress.
06:13 [Cheering]
06:20 Indeed, Mr. Speaker, on coming into office seven years ago,
06:25 my government took the decision as we promised, to modernize and formalize the economy through digitalization.

11:49 Our nation is safe, secure, and under the control of the government and people of Ghana.
12:00 This might sound like a pedestrian statement with which to start a message on the state of the nation.
12:08 Unfortunately, far from it being an everyday truism, this is no longer a statement or claim
12:18 that can be easily made in these times in the neighborhood in which we are.
12:24 We can no longer take the territorial integrity of our countries for granted.
12:30 Indeed, many of our neighbors have already fallen victim and lost large portions of their territories to extremist groups.
12:42 [Ghanaian]
12:56 I'm pleased to report on the progress we're making in the administration of justice.
13:03 This past year, a total of 76 judges and magistrates were appointed.
13:10 They comprise a new Chief Justice, two new Justices of the Supreme Court, 23 new High Court Judges,
13:18 29 Circuit Court Judges, and 21 new Magistrates.
13:23 In January 2024, three additional Justices have been appointed to the Supreme Court
13:29 to replace three Justices who have retired from the Court.
13:35 We've made unprecedented progress in the provision of court buildings and residences for judges around the country.

13:50 [Ghanaian]
14:10 [Ghanaian]
14:18 [Ghanaian]
14:26 [Ghanaian]
14:34 That is very, very disappointing.
14:38 The second disappointment is the President's refusal to touch on corruption.
14:44 He assured us that he would protect the public purse.

25:51 Mr. Speaker, it gives me great pleasure to report that all the preparations are ready for Ghana
25:57 to welcome sportsmen and women from around the continent
26:01 to participate in the 13th edition of the African Games.
26:05 It seems incredible, but this is the first time that Ghana will be hosting these games.
26:11 It's taken a lot of courage to have persisted with the decision to host the games,
26:16 especially when our financial problem came in the midst of the preparations.
26:21 But I am glad we went ahead.
26:24 The preparations are all complete, and I was excited and very pleased with what I saw at Boteman
26:30 when I went to commission the Games Village some two weeks ago.
26:34 We have high-class sporting facilities which will serve us well long after the games are over.
26:41 [Ghanaian]
27:04 I feel like the team is good, the team is doing well.
27:10 It wasn't complacent, they were focused, but you know football, it can go either way, so that's what happened.
27:16 It would be amazing for the team to go to the Olympics.
27:19 It's a big opportunity to show the world that Ghana can play football and put ourselves on the map again.
27:25 I'm adapting, I feel like I'm doing well, especially in training.
27:29 That's the best way to adapt, just train and work hard with the girls,
27:33 and hopefully I'll be on the same level or speed with the girls,
27:37 and then we can play football together properly.
