Man shot Castlereagh Street in Sydney's CBD

Police arrested a man after a 77-year-old victim was shot in the groin at a law firm in Sydney's CBD, with emergency services responding to the incident on the ninth floor of an office building on Castlereagh Street.

00:00 So just after, just before one o'clock this afternoon, New South Wales ambulance received
00:04 reports of a male sustaining gunshot wound at Castle Ray Street, Sydney. Multiple ambulance
00:11 resources were sent, paramedics was on scene within minutes, was met by police, as well as a
00:18 male in his late 70s who sustained one gunshot wound to his groin area. He was treated by
00:26 paramedics, he was in a stable condition, always vital signs within normal limits,
00:32 there was no active bleeding. He was urgently transported to St Vincent's Hospital with the
00:40 escort of our medical retrieval team. The projectile hit his body, it wasn't a graze,
00:47 but when we got on scene he was not actively bleeding.
