00:00 The riot happened early in the morning between the rallyists and the police on IDP Road in Quezon City.

00:05 The police stopped some of the rallyists who were calling for an additional charge near the camera.

00:18 The militants were stopped by the authorities because they did not have a permit,

00:22 according to the report of Super Radio DZBB.

00:24 But the rallyists continued.

00:54 A group of rallyists tried to approach the Congress to bring their possession papers,

00:59 in the hope of getting an additional charge.

01:02 They were met by a police barricade,

01:04 who were talking to their accomplices to let the motorists pass.

01:09 According to Police Colonel Jerry Castillo, the chief of QCPD Station 6,

01:13 the rallyists did not have a permit so they were not allowed to continue.

01:18 But the situation became heated because the militants insisted on speaking up against the law.

01:25 This is where there was a fight between the rallyists and the police.

01:29 After a few minutes, the two sides agreed to set aside the rallyists for their program.

01:36 According to Chairwoman Magsubo, the chairperson of the party of the workers,

01:41 they agreed to let their accomplices and their possession papers pass in the wake of the wage hike.

01:50 The group asked for a legislative wage increase to meet the needs of the workers.

01:57 The heavy traffic on this part of IDP Road led to a riot.
