00:00 >> It's phenomenal to be able to have those guys, I think we still had more.
00:04 We still had more out here, but being able to have those guys come out here,
00:07 show our talent, show our skills to everybody.
00:10 I think it's a testament to what all the guys that's bought in,
00:14 all the guys that stay, if you stay you'll be a champion.
00:16 That's what happened.
00:17 A lot of that is mental focus.
00:19 It's a lot of mental focus, it's like with the interviews, with all those things.
00:22 If you understand football, you understand what you gotta do.
00:25 I think it makes it very easy, and it's like at the end of the day,
00:28 it's the biggest job in your life, something you've been preparing for
00:30 your whole life, so you can't mess it up.
00:33 Everything I've always been showing them, everything I've always been showing them,
00:35 I'm showing them my speed, showing them everything I have,
00:38 like my brain power, being able to handle a defense, being able to have that green dot.
00:42 It's something I'm excited that I've been able to talk to them about.
00:45 Game sticking out was probably Bama.
00:49 Bama, I think just the atmosphere, just being in that,
00:52 the Rose Bowl atmosphere, it elevates everything.
00:54 So to be able to play in that game was phenomenal,
00:57 something I'll cherish for the rest of my life.
00:59 Yeah, I was able to show off everything.
01:01 Yeah, and then they were a great team, so it was a great battle against them.
01:05 But I just like the atmosphere there, just like elevate everybody's game to a whole
01:09 new level, and it was something worthwhile to see.
01:12 Not too much, I watch a lot of players' game.
01:14 I try to add from a lot of different players, like DeFran Warne,
01:18 Dre Greenlaw, Nick Bolton, all those guys, too many admins.
01:21 So I watch a lot of those greats, and I try to take a little bit from each of them,
01:25 just try to add from all the game.
01:28 Have you seen that dude?
01:29 Have you seen that dude?
01:31 I don't think I would say too much, that man's a specimen.
01:33 But just his work ethic, his work ethic, he grinds day in, day out to be able to make
01:40 sure he's ready for the game, and when the game time comes, you'll see he falls to
01:44 the level of his training, and he's trained at a very high level, so it made it very easy.
01:48 I think everybody bought in, from winter workouts to spring balls, summer workouts,
01:55 fall camp, everybody bought in, everybody trusted each other.
01:59 One thing, they gave it all for each other.
02:01 That was the biggest thing, we knew at the end of the day that's what we gotta do,
02:04 we gotta give it all for each other, every play, and
02:07 we trusted the other ten guys out there with us.
02:09 I thought I grew the most in basically every aspect.
02:12 I grew up to be a man, everything.
02:14 There's so much that I learned from Coach Harbaugh and that staff that I'm gonna
02:19 cherish for the rest of my life, and hopefully I can see them again.
02:21 I thought it was the right time to go out with the banger, and I talked to coach,
02:25 and he thought it was the best decision for me to come out.
02:27 I've played in a lot of games, I've started my freshman year, so
02:31 to be able to come out, I've given everything to Michigan, so
02:35 now I think it's time to try the next level.
02:37 Yeah, I'm doing better, doing better.
02:39 So I was having a little cuts and bruises, but I'm doing better.
02:44 Body's healing up quite nicely, but we still got a little bit to go.
02:48 It has, it has, it has come up with conversation with games.
02:51 It's like, what do I tell them every time?
02:55 Unless I can't physically move, unless I'm in a wheelchair or something,
02:58 I'm gonna be out there playing the game, or if I can't help my team.
03:01 But at the end of the day, it's more about what are you willing to sacrifice for
03:06 the bigger goals?
03:07 You put in all those work, if I can't achieve that, so
03:10 I'm gonna give it all I got until I can't anymore.
03:13 >> I've seen a couple of them while I'm walking around, just talk to them.
03:16 It is great to be out here, especially with your teammates.
03:19 Some, you got great camaraderie with them, you understand them.
03:22 And you're cheering them on.
03:23 I'm excited to see what they do out there, I'm excited to see them perform.
03:26 And I've been able to see everything they can accomplish now,
03:29 just being able to bring it out here to the bigger stage.
03:31 Very easy, yeah, very easy.
03:33 I think being able to play in that type of defense helps tremendously.
03:37 There's not a defense out there that I don't understand,
03:41 cuz our defense was so complex, so versatile.
03:45 That you can basically play as many type of defense, and
03:48 it becomes easier than whatever I played in.
03:50 So especially as a Mike, there's so many different defenses, so
03:53 many different things we played.
03:55 So many different, three down, four down, directional formation,
03:58 all those things, middle field, open middle field, close.
04:01 But everything I go into, it becomes a whole lot easier,
04:04 you can just play a little faster.
04:06 That man, I love that man.
04:08 When I came to Michigan, I was a blank slate.
04:11 I was a blank slate, so him being able to mold me into the player I am,
04:15 trusting me with his defense, especially as a freshman, was phenomenal.
04:19 And when I talked to him in my formal, I was just like,
04:22 talked about that a bit, and just how much I've grown since then.
04:25 And how much, there's next steps I'm still able to take.
04:29 I don't think I need to sell him.
04:32 I think he sells himself, I think his game sells himself.
04:35 That's not too much.
04:36 If you turn on the tape, then you can kinda see everything he's been able to do
04:39 and accomplish.
04:40 When we did ask him to throw, he made every throw on the field.
04:43 So it's like, I truly don't think there's anything people need to see.
04:46 It's like when big times came, he needed to make the throw.
04:50 He put it wherever it needed to be.
04:52 That's something he's gonna be able to go out there and
04:54 show in the next couple days.
04:56 That he can place every ball on the field.
04:58 So, and then he's still got the leg power to run.
05:01 Yeah, it was awesome.
05:02 We learned so much from each other.
05:03 And just being able to go out there and battle with him every day was a lot of fun.
05:07 And we would go in, just between me and him, we're just talking it out.
05:11 Talk different plays out, how I saw it.
05:13 What type of throws he could make differently.
05:15 And he'll tell me what he saw, how he moved my defense,
05:19 certain type of way, what his eyes may be.
05:20 And then he can get that back short throw and all those type of things.
05:24 I think it was great.
05:25 He's somebody, he's a phenomenal player to play with.
05:27 Quite a bit, so I was there until I was about nine and a half.
05:30 So that transition was very different.
05:33 I didn't speak any English, so I'd be able to learn English and
05:37 going through the earthquake, coming to a new state.
05:39 And it was just kind of like,
05:40 football was kind of my way of learning the American way.
05:43 In a way, so that was a big transition for me, playing soccer and football.
05:48 But it was a lot of fun.
