00:03 Happy belated 25th birthday once again to Luka Doncic.
00:06 He rings in a new year with a victory last night in Toronto,
00:11 136-125 to lead his Mavs in not just a victory, but a 30 point,
00:16 16 assist, 11 rebound, triple double on his birthday.
00:20 The Mavericks bounce back, they had won seven straight, then dropped two in a row.
00:25 The heartbreaking defeat against Cleveland two nights ago,
00:28 as Max Srews hit the 59 footer at the buzzer to win.
00:32 Dallas though has won eight of its last ten games,
00:35 they have covered in seven of those eight wins.
00:38 >> I'd say what was impressive about that, and again,
00:40 just thinking your way through the process where there was a chance that
00:43 Kyrie Irving and or Luka Doncic would have sat that game out,
00:45 back to backs on the road.
00:46 We see it quite a bit here, but also, you didn't want that to happen here,
00:50 either A, when you're on a winning streak, or B, about to go on a losing streak,
00:53 which would have turned into three games had they lost to the Toronto Raptors.
00:57 The thing that I thought was most impressive is typically on a back to back
01:00 on the road is, you don't have those legs available in the second half,
01:04 because you get tired.
01:05 They scored 66 points as a team in the first half, but great,
01:08 should be able to cruise in and maybe have a chance at winning this game.
01:11 Well, they upped the ante by scoring 70 points in the second half,
01:14 which included a 40 point third quarter.
01:17 Look, man, this is a fun team to watch.
01:19 Doncic and Kyrie Irving, when they're going great,
01:22 one of the best tandems in basketball.
01:24 They went great last night, picked up a victory here for the Dallas Mavericks.
01:27 We'll see where they go moving forward, but
01:28 it alluded that three game losing streak, that's what they wanted to do.
