00:00 All right, combine workouts are rolling here in Indianapolis,
00:03 and we'll be talking a lot about the quarterbacks
00:05 over the next few days.
00:06 They haven't hit the field yet,
00:07 but this is considered one of the best classes in years.
00:10 What does it mean?
00:11 Well, for right now, not a whole lot.
00:14 Remember, the 2021 class was seen as a great class,
00:17 and in a couple weeks' time,
00:18 there may be only one of the five first-round picks
00:21 from that year still on the team that drafted,
00:22 and that's Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields,
00:26 Mack Jones could be traded.
00:27 Obviously, Trey Lance no longer
00:29 with the San Francisco 49ers,
00:30 so it doesn't assure you of anything,
00:32 but the group coming in this year is very well regarded.
00:34 Again, we'll see them on the field on Saturday,
00:37 and those guys behind the scenes
00:38 are already off to a really good start.
00:40 Those guys have been pressed in the interview room
00:43 with teams from what I have heard,
00:45 and each guy is a little bit different.
00:46 USC's Heisman winner from 2022,
00:49 Caleb Williams, the presumed number one overall pick,
00:52 has come in very confident, comfortable in his own skin,
00:55 and has great command over the football talk in the room.
00:58 LSU's Heisman Trophy winner from 2023,
01:01 Jaden Daniels, a little more reserved,
01:03 a little more quiet, but very, very confident,
01:07 and Drake May from North Carolina
01:09 might be the one that surprised some teams.
01:10 Some teams thought he'd be an easygoing southerner.
01:13 That's not the case.
01:14 You see a guy who's got a real alpha quality to him,
01:18 and then there's JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix,
01:21 and both these guys were earmarked by teams as winners,
01:24 as guys who'd really be able to help themselves
01:26 when they sit down with teams and teams get to know them,
01:28 and that's been the case.
01:30 So those five guys have all helped themselves
01:32 early on in the process.
01:33 It'll be exciting to see what they can do
01:35 on the field on Saturday.
