00:00 For the first time, the U.S. military has airdropped thousands of meals into Gaza in
00:05 an attempt to get food into the enclave.
00:08 This video shows an earlier airdrop by another country.
00:11 The U.S. planes dropped 66 bundles containing about 38,000 meals.
00:17 It comes two days after at least 115 Palestinians were killed in a stampede around an aid convoy
00:23 that was being escorted by the Israeli military.
00:27 Israel claims that many of the dead were trampled in a chaotic rush for the food aid and that
00:31 its troops fired warning shots after the crowd moved towards them in a threatening way.
00:37 But on Saturday, EU officials said many of those killed were shot dead by the Israelis.
00:42 Since the war began, Israel has barred food, water, medicine and other supplies from entering
00:47 Gaza except for a trickle of aid entering the south from Egypt.
