00:00 Hey, what's up? It's Sav Hudson from Between Friends,
00:02 and today I'm gonna show you some of my favorite pieces
00:05 from my wardrobe.
00:06 I would describe my style as fun, eclectic,
00:12 silly, happy-go-lucky.
00:14 I don't know. I definitely like to play around.
00:17 I think I'm in an age right now
00:20 where I just want to try everything before it's too late,
00:23 even though I think I'll continue doing this
00:25 for the rest of my life.
00:26 Okay, this is a very special piece to me.
00:29 My brother had it made for me this past Christmas.
00:35 Between Friends is the name of our project.
00:38 Got a little Between Friends there, too.
00:41 I love to wear it.
00:42 This is a piece from a brand called Borbala.
00:45 She actually uses all recycled materials
00:49 when making her clothes.
00:51 I wore this for a music video called "Laurel,"
00:53 and there's a skirt that matches,
00:55 but it's in storage now.
00:57 But it's out of all recycled, like, plastic.
01:00 It's crazy.
01:02 She has another piece, actually,
01:05 that she also made for me that I brought out.
01:09 It's just so special.
01:10 I've worn this, like, a lot more than I thought I would
01:13 as a dress or as, like, a top with jeans under.
01:18 I wore this for a friend's Grammy afterparty.
01:21 Very fun, very funky.
01:25 This is a very cool piece.
01:26 This is vintage Comme des Garçons.
01:29 And I think, what I can gather,
01:32 they chopped up a suit jacket,
01:35 and they just kind of, like,
01:37 piled it all on top of each other.
01:39 So, like, this part goes over right here,
01:40 and it's just, like, really chic, really sexy vibe.
01:47 This piece is a grail of all grails.
01:52 This is ERD and Daft Punk.
01:57 For Daft Punk's last album,
02:01 they, for their merch line, did a collaboration with ERD.
02:04 And they only made a few pieces,
02:06 and my brother and I share this,
02:08 but it's very special, very cool.
02:12 We love Daft Punk.
02:14 Okay, this is kind of funny.
02:16 It's vintage '90s Miu Miu,
02:18 and I've actually never worn it
02:20 because I got it from an estate sale,
02:23 and it's damaged,
02:25 and I just, like, don't want to take it somewhere to get fixed
02:28 'cause I'm too scared they're gonna, like, ruin it.
02:30 I've worn the top many times before,
02:33 and the skirt looks like this.
02:35 It's gorge.
02:38 But I just love it, and I like to know
02:39 that it's in my closet.
02:41 Makes me happy.
02:43 I love Miu Miu.
02:44 Okay, these are fun.
02:47 Martina Cox makes these,
02:49 and there's a surprise on the butt.
02:53 You -- Basically, this is the front,
02:57 and then on the little cheeks,
03:00 it's like windows.
03:02 I've only worn these once out in public,
03:06 and I wore, like, more covered underwear underneath
03:10 just 'cause I'm not that scandalous.
03:13 But I just think they're so cool,
03:16 and, like, all of her work, she plays with, like,
03:20 tapestry window curtains.
03:23 Like, she has tops that she makes
03:25 where, like, it's, like, right here,
03:27 and I just think it's so fun and creative,
03:29 and I love her work.
03:32 This is very special.
03:34 One of my very, very close friends,
03:36 Lindsey, has a brand called Verconic,
03:39 and she makes all of this knitwear herself by hand,
03:44 and I have tops from her,
03:45 sweaters from her, leg warmers,
03:47 and she actually just sent me this sweet little number,
03:51 and I'm just obsessed.
03:52 I think she's so talented.
03:55 This is, like, a double whammy story
03:56 because I have shoes that go along with this,
03:59 but we played a show in New York a few months back,
04:05 and I got a call to be a part of a Heaven
04:08 by Marc Jacobs campaign,
04:10 and I was, like, not expecting it.
04:12 I was so excited, and I was super hungover,
04:14 but I, like, got my butt up and got there,
04:18 and afterwards, I was just, like,
04:20 alone walking around in New York,
04:21 and I had my headphones on, and I just felt so lucky,
04:25 and then I went into this vintage store,
04:26 and I, like, saw this jacket,
04:28 and I thought I'd get myself a little anecdote
04:31 from that special day.
04:33 These are the shoes from the shoot, Marc Jacobs,
04:39 and these are the Kiki boots, I think.
04:43 I have yet to wear them out
04:48 because I'm too afraid I'm gonna be, like,
04:50 8 feet tall and hurt myself,
04:52 but it's, like, another one of those things
04:54 I just, like, love that it's in my closet.
04:57 I want it in my closet.
04:59 I like to just admire.
05:02 This brand called The Incorporated
05:05 allowed me to create this dress with them
05:11 for our performance at Governor's Ball in New York,
05:15 and it's still dirty, and I refuse to clean it
05:17 because, like, it's the memory of me falling down
05:22 and getting dirty on stage that I love so much about it.
05:26 We basically -- I wanted to make a jersey dress,
05:29 gown-type thing.
05:31 The back says "Cutie"
05:33 'cause that's the name of our BP that came out.
05:37 I just love it, and we added all these.
05:38 I took them off 'cause I didn't want it to snag,
05:40 but we -- my brother and I encrusted, like,
05:42 this whole collar area with vintage pins
05:47 so that there were, like, angels and hearts
05:50 and fun, beautiful stuff,
05:51 and then we had him wear the boy's version of it.
05:56 This was my mom's beautiful dress.
06:01 It looks like poochie, but it's not poochie.
06:04 She wants me to say that.
06:06 It's got this, like, gorgeous kind of leather detailing,
06:10 and I don't know.
06:11 I just think it's so fun,
06:12 and I like to always have a piece of her with me
06:17 wherever I go, so I love this dress,
06:20 like, with little buns, little dark lip.
06:24 This is a very special dress,
06:26 so as you can see, it's very Italian-looking.
06:32 I am half Italian, and I went to Italy
06:37 a few summers ago with my family,
06:40 and I thrifted this dress,
06:41 and I couldn't believe that it was real.
06:45 It has, like, the gornou on it,
06:47 which is, like, a very Italian,
06:50 like, good luck type, like, warding bad energy off,
06:55 and it's just encrusted on the back.
06:57 Like, it's like a necklace on the back,
06:59 and then, you know, we got the grapes.
07:02 We got the little tiny guitar.
07:06 This is fun.
07:07 I also share this with my brother,
07:09 but our manager got this for us for Christmas,
07:13 I think, or a birthday.
07:15 It's this gorgeous off-white trench coat,
07:19 and it's reversible, so you can be plain and simple,
07:23 or you can be like Kodak.
07:26 This is a vintage bowling bag,
07:30 and it did have a bowling ball in it,
07:33 but I am not using it for that purpose.
07:35 I think it's a very fun purse to use.
07:41 I brought it on our entire second leg of tour
07:44 this past time we went out,
07:47 and I put so much stuff in there.
07:49 I will say the one nonpractical thing about it
07:52 is, like, when you zip,
07:55 it's all open, but beauty is pain.
08:00 This is a very special piece to me.
08:02 I live in L.A.
08:05 I grew up going to the Chateau Marmont,
08:07 love Gucci, and they just so happened to do a collab.
08:12 I was having dinner there, like, six years ago,
08:15 and they just, like, had these,
08:18 like, above the check-in desk, like, in a box,
08:21 and I was like, "What is that?"
08:22 It's like, "Oh, yeah, we did a collab with Gucci,
08:24 and it's, you know, no big deal,"
08:26 and I'm like, "Yeah, I'm gonna need that forever,"
08:29 and so my best friend and I got matching ones,
08:32 and it's just very, very special to me.
08:35 I don't know. I just love it.
08:36 I have a huge infatuation
08:40 with Japanese culture and fashion.
08:43 I just love it. I admire it.
08:46 I was at this store called Search and Destroy,
08:49 and they get all of their, like, best vintage from Japan,
08:54 like, from estate sales or auction houses,
08:57 and this is just, like, a perfect purse.
09:02 She's fun.
09:04 This very extremely deconstructed
09:09 little Lammy bag
09:11 just makes every outfit a little more cute.
09:16 This brand is called Lucky Jewel.
09:19 They use old puffer jackets, and they just, like, sew it.
09:23 It's just everything's, like, recycled and upcycled,
09:26 and I just -- I love that.
09:27 There's a theme here for that.
09:29 I think you should always upcycle, recycle, reuse.
09:34 She's cute.
09:35 This is ready for whatever.
09:38 Like, you can take me to the park.
09:41 You can take me to a party.
09:44 You can take me to school,
09:46 and it's all acceptable because this is amazing.
09:49 These are Dior Moon Boots.
09:52 I think my friend had to fight someone for them
09:55 in order to get them for me.
09:56 The inside is, like, not lined, hard to wear,
10:03 but I just love them.
10:04 All right, I'm not sure if I'm completely butchering this name,
10:08 but by Linnea Christine,
10:13 just made the most amazing art of a boot for me
10:20 for a music video that I shot called "Orange Juice,"
10:23 and I couldn't have dreamt of something as perfect as this.
10:29 All of these little animals are real stuffed animals,
10:33 so it just carries the weight of that,
10:35 and, like, when you wear them,
10:37 it feels like you're ready to conquer.
10:41 I guess I'll start with this piece
10:43 just 'cause it's screaming my name.
10:46 This is a beautiful piece by Karina Gutos.
10:50 She hand-makes all of this jewelry,
10:52 and she uses, like, real shells, and she pierces them,
10:57 and I just think it's so cool,
10:59 like, playing with something so natural
11:03 and adding something kind of more, like, hard
11:06 to such a soft-looking thing.
11:09 I think this is probably the most
11:13 self-explanatory piece on here.
11:17 I was in Berlin with my two best friends.
11:20 I go almost every summer with them,
11:23 and I love techno, and Berlin loves techno,
11:28 and I was at this store,
11:30 and they had these little pendants
11:34 kind of, like, on a clip-on earring,
11:36 but I saw that he was custom-making
11:39 another pair of earrings for somebody else
11:41 that had these, like, diamond-looking things on them,
11:44 and I was like, "Hey, like, can you do that to mine?"
11:48 And he was like, "Yeah, I'll come back in an hour,
11:49 and I'll do it for you."
11:51 This little box has something fun in it.
11:57 My grill.
11:59 Should I put it on?
12:01 Okay.
12:02 It's a gift, and it's fabulous.
12:08 So this is a work in progress.
12:11 It doesn't look like much, but I have this fun idea,
12:14 and I think I need one more,
12:16 or I need someone to help me
12:18 who knows how to work with jewelry.
12:19 These are vintage G-Shocks, Baby Gs,
12:22 'cause I'm Baby G,
12:24 and I wanted to, like, make it a choker of some sort,
12:27 but I think I need, like, two more
12:30 so that, like, the face of the watch can be, like, in a row.
12:38 These are vintage Dior sunglasses
12:42 that I think are up there
12:45 with, like, some of my favorite sunglasses of all time.
12:48 Um...
12:52 They're just -- I mean, I don't even have to say anything.
12:54 It's just self-explanatory.
12:57 You're always going fast when you wear these.
13:00 You're never slowing down.
13:02 Another pair of sunglasses that are vintage.
13:05 These were also my mother's Chanel sunglasses.
13:08 I hope she doesn't watch this,
13:09 because she'll know that I stole them.
13:13 Come on.
13:15 Come on.
13:18 A Tamagotchi necklace.
13:21 I have two of these,
13:23 but I thought I'd bring this one out first
13:25 because it was my first one.
13:28 And I've actually waited until this day to pull the tab.
13:36 Should we do it?
13:40 Now I got to feed them all the time.
13:42 Thank you so much, Who What Wear, for having me today.
13:45 I had so much fun sharing with you
13:47 all the very special, eclectic pieces from my wardrobe,
13:51 and maybe you can come over again soon,
13:53 and I'll show you the rest of the closet.
