00:00 There was a report in social media whereby it was announced that a female lawyer abused a young girl and she's on the run.
00:10 So just listen as I quickly read through this.
00:13 It should be recalled that on February 5th, 2024, the internet was awoken by the news of a 10-year-old girl, name we tell, she's a minor so we can't mention her name,
00:25 who had burns all over her body. The girl was a maid to one barista, Adachukwu Delin Okafor, of GRA 331 Bichang, Anambra State, for two weeks.
00:38 She's just been a maid for two weeks, just for two weeks in her house, a period during which the said barista accused the minor of...
00:47 Where are you going? ...accused the minor of falling with the knees of her six-year-old son while bathing.
00:57 On January 29th, 2024, this suspect accused her of this and proceeded to tie her hands, mouth, and also tie her hands and flogged her.
01:11 She also inserted a hot knife into her private parts and poured ground pepper into it as well.
01:22 She then placed a hot electric iron, she plugged an electric iron to the electric socket, allowed it to be hot, and used it on the maid's cheek and on her two buttocks.
01:37 After causing the maid trauma, she now locked her up in her toilet from the afternoon of the incident till the evening of the following day without food.
01:49 After which she now took the child the following day naked to her aunt that gave her to her as a maid.
02:00 At the point that she drugged the young girl with her aunt, you know, without cloth, with the bones on the cheek, with the bones on the buttocks,
02:09 and with blood and water oozing out of the private parts, the aunt raised an alarm.
02:15 And the alarm attracted persons by who brought out their phones.
02:19 We know what Nigerians do with their phones.
02:21 And they started recording and videoing and taking pictures, and this went straight to the social space.
02:29 And all after this, that thing that went to the space attracted the police of Anambra State's command,
02:37 as well as the Commissioner for Women Affairs in Anambra State.
02:41 So all efforts made to arrest her proved unworthy because she took to her heels. She ran away.
