00:00 If you like adventure but you don't have time or budget to travel, you can try indoor wall climbing.
00:07 First up is Dano Tinkunco.
00:10 It's said that there's no mountain high enough, especially if you like climbing or rock climbing.
00:20 But if you don't have time and budget, why not try wall climbing?
00:26 It's like climbing a mountain but less stressful for travel and budget.
00:30 In a gym in Marikina, there's an indoor wall climbing area.
00:34 It's 30 feet high, divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced areas.
00:39 Even if they have a problem, when they climb, it's like they're able to remove it.
00:45 How can you remove the stress of climbing that looks like a wrong step?
00:51 For those who want to try wall climbing, our advice is not to just climb up the wall.
01:00 We need to do warm-ups to condition our body before we go straight to wall climbing.
01:09 So coach, what are the warm-ups?
01:10 Yes, that's right.
01:11 Number one, we'll do a warm-up for stationary bike.
01:16 And after that, planking.
01:18 I'll give them some stomach exercises before we start wall climbing.
01:24 We need blood circulation to be well-conditioned.
01:29 Especially if you don't sleep.
01:31 Number two, planking to activate your core muscles or calms your nerves.
01:36 You need it to get up from your knees, I mean, from the wall.
01:43 Number three, the kettlebell routine to get your hands used to the grip and to be really tight.
01:49 We'll also teach you how to put on a harness, helmet, and most importantly,
01:57 chalk powder on your hands and feet so that you won't slip.
02:01 In wall climbing, not only will your body be conditioned, but also your brain.
02:07 How can you avoid that? If you look at these stones, they have different shapes, some are too small,
02:12 and some are even shorter.
02:14 You need to use a strategy on how to get up from there
02:18 and how to get up without falling down because of the time.
02:22 And we'll try it again.
02:24 Even if you're thin or fat, as long as your core can handle it, you can get up.
02:34 Wall climbing is 300 pesos per hour here and you can go anytime Monday to Sunday.
02:39 This is the first news. I'm Dano Tincunco for GMA Integrated News.
