00:10 Alright, Chuck, man, let's talk about what's happening today.

00:14 Tameka Reid and the Lady Tigers are coming to town.

00:18 How do you see this going down for the Texas Southern faithful?

00:22 This is a very tough team that Texas Southern is taking on today.

00:25 When you take a look at Tameka Reid over the past few years, 79-4 within conference play.

00:31 But when you really take a look at this team, they are very dominant on the boards.

00:35 They're very dominant in terms of low post play.

00:37 So, the Texas Southern team, they're going to have their hands full dealing with Angel Jackson,

00:41 one of the tougher matchups in the SWAC.

00:44 Yeah, well look, they are now, what, 16 or 17 straight wins in the SWAC this season.

00:51 She looks unstoppable. The ladies look unstoppable.

00:56 Going forward, do you think there's any teams out there that they should be aware of,

01:02 like UAPB or Florida A&M or Alabama State?

01:06 The team that I would really look out for that's really playing some great basketball

01:11 is the Grandma State Lady Tigers.

01:13 And if you really take a look at the stats, they don't have a top scorer in the top 15 of the SWAC,

01:18 but they get it done with team ball and great defense.

01:21 So, if there is a team that I'm looking at, it's probably Grandma.

01:24 But this Jackson State team, if you go back to their loss in the SWAC tournament last year,

01:29 they're just playing with an unbelievable chip on their shoulder.

01:32 They're not just coming to win ballgames, they're coming to dominate ballgames.

01:35 And that's what we've seen in SWAC this past year.

01:37 All right. Johnny Jones against Mo Williams. That's a great matchup ahead, man. Talk about that.

01:44 Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it because Jackson State is sort of the X-factor team that I look at in the SWAC.

01:51 They can be right there in the upper echelon with teams, or they can be middling.

01:55 It's just which Jackson State team will you get today.

01:57 Jackson State is very good when they work hard on the boards and things of that nature and play great defense.

02:04 But they go through lulls in games, so I'm really watching to see if that happens

02:08 because you can't do that with Texas Southern.

02:10 The Texas Southern team is really rounded in the shape. The closer we get to March,

02:14 that's the sort of Texas Southern team that always starts showing up, and we're starting to see that with P.J. Henry.

02:20 He's starting to get hot from the outside. You start to see those guards playing downhill,

02:24 getting into the lane, and it makes it very difficult for teams.

02:27 Yeah. It looks like Coach Jones waits until the tournament to be able to turn up the Tigers.

02:33 Yeah, they kind of turn the afterburners on somewhere mid-February, and then you know that's the Texas Southern team

02:39 that we've all come to look and expect to see in the SWAC tournament.

02:43 But they've been playing some great ball, probably the hottest team right now playing in the SWAC,

02:48 so it's a great matchup today.
