00:00 What has the past month or so been like getting settled? Obviously you guys
00:03 solidified the staff all of those things. Yeah that was a big part of it you know
00:08 is just getting that part solidified and you know we got a lot of good people in
00:12 the building we added good people to our staff and and just kind of figure out
00:16 you know how we all work together that'll be an ongoing process. We spent a
00:21 lot of time really self-assessing you know the year what did we do well where
00:26 do we need to improve you know looked across the league did some pretty
00:30 extensive league studies kind of assign the staff you know different
00:34 responsibilities as far as that goes and really kind of spent the last two or
00:37 three weeks doing that as we started to lead into the evaluation process so it's
00:41 been busy yeah I think we've we've done a good job of that stuff and we'll
00:46 continue with that moving forward in the offseason.
00:48 What do you see in Jason's role? Is that more of a game planning thing? Is it a quality control thing?
00:55 Is it a game day thing? Justin? I'm sorry Justin. Yeah yeah Justin Ruscati yeah so
01:01 Justin Justin's gonna be a tremendous asset he's got he's got a really unique
01:07 background you know he's a successful college quarterback he's coached the
01:11 quarterback position he's coached the receiver position he's been a coordinator
01:15 in college he's been in the NFL for a handful years he's been in the offensive
01:19 line room for four years he's been in the quarterback room for a year so I
01:22 think he's got a great kind of global offensive perspective that will be an
01:27 asset to me you know as I take on those duties of the day-to-day construction of
01:34 the game plan and and even through the offseason and the OTAs and training camp
01:37 and really just kind of be there for me as somebody to run ideas by and he'll
01:42 have specific things he's responsible for and so I think he's gonna touch a
01:46 lot of a lot of pieces of what we do and we're really happy to have him.
01:51 What were some of the things that stood out as far as the positives when you did the
01:55 self-evaluation? Sure you know we you know you look at both phases right you
02:01 look at the run game and look at the pass game you know run game first you
02:06 know we have been a very efficient rushing offense when you look at some of
02:10 the you know the context dependent metrics the EPA efficiency chunk
02:16 percentage things like that you know there's good stuff there you know and
02:20 then you break it down by you know specific run scheme some things we were
02:24 good at others we weren't and and so those those are the kind of the findings
02:28 that allow you to forge the path forward you know kind of common themes you know
02:33 obviously we'd love to be more explosive even even you know so we kind of divided
02:37 up efficiency chunk is kind of intermediate category and then explosive
02:42 runs you know if we can turn some of those efficient runs into chunk runs and
02:46 and that's it that's a team-wide thing that's you know every position on the
02:49 field it's you know it's a line maybe straining to finish a little bit it's
02:54 the back you know making somebody miss at the second level it's the quarterback
02:57 making sure we're in the right checks it's the receivers finishing so you know
03:01 I think we did a really good job of looking at that and there's improvables
03:04 at all those position groups that can help us get better in that area in the
03:07 past game as well you know I think we have explosive players we need to create
03:12 more explosive plays and and that's that comes through scheme that comes through
03:17 execution that comes through you know designing it week in and week out to to
03:23 make sure that we're exploiting all those opportunities that we get from a
