01:03 Dear listeners, what is the Prophet (PBUH) saying?

01:08 Hazrat Abu Usaid Malik bin Rabia (RA) narrates that he was present at the Prophet's house.

01:19 At that time, a man from the Banu Salma tribe came and said,

01:26 "O Messenger of Allah, is there any good deed left from the good deeds of my parents that I can do for them after their death?"

01:37 Dear listeners, the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Yes, pray for them and ask for their forgiveness."

01:48 In the Hadith, the Prophet (PBUH) said that the Prophet (PBUH) will see the mountains of good deeds on the Day of Judgment.

01:55 He will say, "O Master, I have not done these good deeds."

01:59 So, there is a Hadith in which the Prophet (PBUH) says, "Yes, you have not done these good deeds, but your children are praying for you."

02:11 And there is another Hadith in which the Prophet (PBUH) says, "Your children are asking for forgiveness for you."

02:22 So, the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Pray for them and ask for their forgiveness, and fulfill their promises after their death."

02:32 Dear listeners, if a person has made a promise of good deeds, then he should fulfill it.

02:41 But if a person is in the disobedience of Allah, then he should not fulfill it.

02:49 If a person does good deeds and asks his children to continue doing good deeds, then he should fulfill his promises.

03:00 And even if he does not fulfill his promises, and if he helps someone in life,

03:04 if he helps in a mosque or in a madrasa, if he helps a poor person, an orphan, a poor person,

03:12 then on a monthly basis, even if he has not made a promise to anyone,

03:19 his children should continue doing good deeds.

03:26 And then the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Respect and honor their friends."

03:32 If a parent passes away, then the parents should respect and honor their friends.

03:42 Similarly, if a parent has a friend circle or neighbors,

03:52 then the parents should treat them well.

03:55 So, the parents should treat their friends with respect and honor.

04:03 And if a parent passes away, then the parents should treat their relatives well.

04:10 If a grandfather is alive, then the parents should treat them well.

04:20 If a child is born, then the parents should treat them well.

04:27 Similarly, if a mother is alive, then the parents should treat her well.

04:42 May Allah enable us to follow the example of the Prophet (PBUH)
