Vampire To Streetwear - My Fiancé Loves It | TRANSFORMED

ANGEL, 23, from the UK, describes her 'Gothic Vampire Look' as "sexy, glamorous, gothy, vampy, elegance". Angel loves standing out in a crowd and feels the most like herself when she dresses in her unique and eye-catching way. Angel told Transformed: "I've been dressing this way for the past 10 years, it's just a style that I've always gravitated towards. I never really liked feeling the same as everyone else, so I started to experiment with makeup and clothing which gradually developed into this!" Angel remembers that when she was 11 years old, she would dress very girly and all in pink... Something she thought she'd left behind forever. Angel said: "I used to dress in a lot of pink, pink tracksuits, my whole room was pink, I just loved it back then. It was a look... But not my vibe now though!" With the help of makeup artist Amy, today Angel will be transforming from her 'Gothic Vampire Look' into a 'Classic Street Style', but how will her fiance and mum react? Will they want Amy to keep her dramatic transformation? Or will they both realise they want the vampire to stay for good?

00:00 Today I'm being transformed from my gothic vampire look into a classic street style.
00:05 If I could summarise my look in a few words, they would be sexy, glamorous, gothy, vampy, elegant.
00:13 Are you ready to see yourself?
00:15 I'm incredibly excited.
00:17 Go, let's do it.
00:18 Okay.
00:18 One, two.
00:20 Oh my god.
00:22 I can't wait to see her.
00:24 Bit nervous actually.
00:25 Bring her on.
00:26 Oh my god.
00:30 Wow.
00:30 Hello, how are you?
00:36 I'm good, how are you?
00:37 Yeah, I'm good, thank you.
00:38 I'm Amy.
00:38 I'm Angel.
00:39 Come on in.
00:39 Nice to meet you.
00:40 My name is Angel and I would describe my look as a vampire goth with mystical fae elements.
00:46 What attracts me to the gothic vampire aesthetic are the colours,
00:50 the bright reds especially, I'm obsessed with red, but also the elegance, but just also how
00:56 badass it looks. The key elements of my look is chains, big eyelashes, fans and pointed ears.
01:04 We're going to do a bit more of a soft glam, like Kim Kardashian inspired sort of look, streetwear.
01:12 We're going to have piercing eyes, a nice big lip, so we're going a bit over lined,
01:18 just making it look really snatched.
01:20 Do you think you're going to feel really bare?
01:22 I think I'm going to feel a bit naked, yeah.
01:24 Yeah.
01:25 It's going to be strange.
01:26 I've been dressing this way for probably over 10 years. It's just a style that I've always
01:33 gravitated towards. I think I just, I never really liked feeling the same as everyone else,
01:39 so I started to experiment with makeup and clothing and it just gradually developed into this.
01:45 This is Nyx, it's just a concealer, just cancels out the colours in the tattoo.
01:52 Why have you decided to do this transformation?
01:55 Because I wanted to experience what my look might have been if I had continued with the
02:03 looks that I had before I started to be a goth and see what I might have turned out like.
02:07 You're not really seeing your adult self in you.
02:11 I used to dress in a lot of pink. My mum used to put me in pink tracksuits
02:16 and my whole room was pink. I don't know what happened, but I just loved pink back then and
02:23 I used to have long blonde hair as well because I'm naturally blonde, surprisingly. And it was a look.
02:29 Not my vibe now though.
02:32 This is a Nyx brow pencil and espresso. Just draws really nice fine hairs on and
02:40 because Angel's got no brow at all, we need to draw some little fine hairs on.
02:45 Do you get judged on the way you look or dress?
02:50 I used to get judged for dressing like this, more so when I was at school. Honestly, I just,
02:56 I don't care about them anymore. You know, if you've got time to judge someone in your life,
03:00 then you don't have a very good life. That's your problem. It's not my problem.
03:04 I'm going to move on and be happy.
03:05 Who are you revealing your look to today?
03:09 I am revealing my look to my mum and my fiancé. I think they're going to be really shocked.
03:15 Hi.
03:18 If you kind of look more how I remembered you from being little, I don't know, who knows,
03:23 I might get a bit emotional about it. I'm excited for you as well and I'm interested to see whether
03:28 you'll really like it and decide to maybe keep it on a bit or if you'll just be like, no, straight,
03:33 straight back.
03:34 No, Angel is not going to change. So yeah.
03:40 Take a good look because this might be the last time that you'll see me in something like this,
03:44 but I doubt it.
03:48 Putting some eyelashes on.
03:49 They might be a little bit different to what Angel's used to.
03:55 Yeah, way smaller.
03:56 Right, Angel, once your makeup's all done, go.
04:08 Fantastic.
04:09 Let's get dressed.
04:10 Awesome.
04:11 Are you ready to see yourself?
04:12 I'm incredibly excited.
04:14 Go, let's do it.
04:15 Okay.
04:15 Let's go.
04:18 Who is she?
04:22 Oh my God.
04:26 Ew.
04:29 Who is she?
04:30 Oh my God.
04:34 Ew.
04:48 I've got eyebrows.
04:57 Do you know, I look like, I kind of look like Gemma Collins a bit.
05:01 You look like an Essex babe.
05:04 I do look like an Essex babe.
05:06 Oh yeah.
05:08 No, do you know, I like this.
05:11 The makeup's done beautifully, absolutely stunning, despite me being a darker shade
05:16 than what I'm used to and it's weird not seeing my tattoo there either, but I do kind of love it.
05:24 The hair colour is taking me back to being that child that used to wear jackets like this
05:31 and just live her best life.
05:34 Everyone's going to be so surprised.
05:37 No one has seen me like this in so long that it's going to be such a huge shock.
05:45 How are you feeling?
05:47 Excited.
05:48 Yeah, yeah, really excited.
05:50 Yeah.
05:50 Can't wait to see you.
05:51 Bit nervous actually.
05:52 Are you?
05:53 A little bit.
05:54 Bring her on.
05:55 Wow.
06:03 You look great.
06:07 I look different.
06:09 You certainly do, yeah.
06:11 You look like all the girls I grew up with at school.
06:14 I think it really suits you.
06:18 Really?
06:19 Yeah, I do, yeah.
06:20 So you've got a tan on as well.
06:21 [LAUGHTER]
06:23 I love how you've been doing it as a tattoo.
06:25 Oh my god, yeah.
06:26 Painted them off there.
06:28 You look so normal.
06:29 [LAUGHTER]
06:32 I like everything.
06:33 It's the hair, the jacket especially.
06:36 I really like the jacket.
06:37 Skirt, top, everything.
06:39 It's just great.
06:40 Yes, yes to all.
06:41 [LAUGHTER]
06:42 I love the blonde.
06:43 I see she's a natural blonde, so it's lovely to see her.
06:45 Because what were we saying before?
06:47 You were about 12, 13 and you've never been back.
06:49 So I know it's lovely to see you with that blonde hair.
06:52 I just think the makeup looks lovely.
06:53 It looks really natural.
06:54 No, it is.
06:55 It is bringing back a few memories of the old angel.
06:59 Yeah.
06:59 Yeah, you look lovely.
07:01 Yeah.
07:03 Don't get any makeup on you.
07:05 Their reactions were bigger than I ever thought they were going to be.
07:10 I didn't expect them to be as shocked as they were.
07:14 But I'm really glad that they were happily surprised by it.
07:19 This experience has taught me that I am unique,
07:23 that I am happier in my unique style than I am in this sort of style.
07:31 But also that it's OK to try new colours and things that are completely out of my comfort zone.
