What’s on guide: Big few weeks of sport in Wales

This six nations certainly hasn’t been kind to Wales, it’s been three games and three losses, despite some decent performances. The young side came agonisingly close to coming back against Scotland, were close against England, but got soundly beaten by Ireland, so the next two games against France and Italy, they’ll be hoping to get at least one win to avoid the unthinkable.

Wales have two homes games against the sides, starting with France on Sunday the 10th, with a below par French side, this could be a chance for the young Wales squad. Then it comes to the last game of the tournament, and what could be a real tense affair as one of the best Italian sides we’ve seen in years comes to Cardiff. Here’s hoping it doesn’t come down to that for a wooden spoon battle.

In the football, Wales will be playing home to Finland on Thursday 21st March in their Euro play off semi final for a place at the continental competition. If they win that one, it’ll be a final in Cardiff against either Poland or Estonia in what will be a huge game for the national side, fingers crossed for another summer of football at the euros.
