00:00 So although the snow wasn't predicted and it has made a lot of people have to evacuate
00:07 to the shelter and Tony very kindly who had stayed all night at Alice Park Cafe has started
00:13 the coffee pot going and the fire going a bit earlier than expected.
00:18 But the snow has made for quite an amazing scene here at Alice Park tonight at the Big
00:23 Bath Sleepout.
00:25 It's still dark obviously because it's only, it's nearly five o'clock in the morning now
00:29 but we have just activated our severe weather plan which means myself and the security guards
00:36 have gone around and made sure everyone's awake.
00:39 The tarpaulins are collapsing under the weight of the snow now so we have had to make sure
00:44 they're aware of what's going on and that they can seek shelter if needed.
00:50 But incredibly some people are still under tarpaulins.
00:55 Our chief exec Helen Bedza is one of those people, I've just checked on her and she says
01:00 that she's absolutely fine and she does seem to want to stick it out until dawn.
01:06 But I'll just show you the scene here at Alice Park.
01:11 It is quite, and when do you get to be in a park at five in the morning in the snow?
01:16 We are fortunate enough that we don't have to do this and that's the whole point of the
01:20 Big Bath Sleepout isn't it?
01:22 The fact that we get to go home to our beds and our hot showers in a couple of hours and
01:28 we don't have to sleep out every night like the men and women who Julian House help all
01:33 year round have to.
01:35 So that's the Big Bath Sleepout for you.
01:38 But yeah, just have a look at the scene here at Alice Park.
