00:00 I was wondering, is the completion of A6 anywhere on the radar?
00:05 Or how we can move that up the agenda potentially?
00:09 Like I say, great work has been done, but there's the creation of a huge bottleneck,
00:13 a drum a hole.
00:15 It's worse than Duncovan ever was, actually.
00:18 And the associated issues that causes, not just for motorists,
00:21 but obviously for residents and the environment too.
00:24 So, last year in the offices of ministers,
00:27 the department published a prioritization of major road schemes.
00:30 And the A6 was one of the schemes that we identified
00:34 would continue to be developed.
00:35 So, we are continuing to develop.
00:38 It's obviously, it was an executive flagship scheme as well,
00:41 and we're conscious of that.
00:43 You'll be familiar that the route for the final section
00:45 goes near the Muboi waste site.
00:47 So, at the minute, we're working with DARA
00:50 and we're part of the working group that's looking at that.
00:52 And once we understand the plans for remediating that site,
00:56 which we would need before we could finalize proposals
00:58 for the minister's consideration on that road,
01:01 we would be able to do that once we see what that's going to look like.
01:04 Obviously, we're building alongside the River Fawn,
01:06 we're going to build a bridge over it.
01:09 It's all, it's a complex ecosystem.
01:11 We don't want to do anything that would make anything worse
01:14 or that would interfere with the ability to remediate the site.
01:17 So, I suspect we will wait for that,
01:19 and obviously subject to the minister's consideration.
01:21 - Not a fear that could take a while, sadly.
01:25 I just wonder, might there be potential in the future
01:27 to look at the decoupling of Caw, Maydown and Maydown-Drummahoe,
01:34 potentially to sort of skip the Muboi site until that's sorted.
