臨時械劫 (粵) Rob N Roll (Cant) 2024
Rob N Roll is a 2024 Hong Kong action comedy film produced by Derek Yee Tung-sing (爾冬陞) directed by Albert Mak Kai-kwong (麥啟光). The film stars Aaron Kwok Fu-shing (郭富城) as a robber who forces two dispirited, middle-aged men played by Gordon Lam Ka-tung (林家棟) and Richie Jen Hsien-chi (任賢齊), to participate in a heist.
Two perplexed middle-aged losers, Robby (Gordan) and Mo Yung-fai (Richie) are good friends. Fai is honest man. His wife left him with an elderly home business. Fai has tried very hard to keep it running until the owner increases the rent crustily. Taxi driver Robby, who is timid and unreliable, he always neglected the conflicts between his mother and his wife. Robby always lives paycheck to paycheck without a financial plan, so he is at a loss what to do.
Mui Lam-tin (Aaron) is a a bucktoothed, former professional wrestler turned robber who is vicious but principled. He plotted a major heist but unfortunately, his plan was unintentionally foiled by two dispirited middle-aged buddies, and the stolen cash disappears. As a result, the trio has to run from the pursue of a nearing-retirement policewoman, as well as engaging in a firearm deal in order to reclaim the stolen cash, putting their life on the line.
