00:00 - Yeah, look, I can see.
00:02 Look, can you see?
00:03 - Wait, should we make your name?
00:04 - Oh, mine's really hard.
00:06 - Dad.
00:06 - Yeah, Dad, that's easier, isn't it?
00:08 - Yeah, yeah.
00:09 - Yeah, yeah.
00:10 - Yeah.
00:10 - How you doing, guys?
00:11 You all right?
00:12 - Yeah, good, you?
00:13 - Yeah, so we got Paul, and we got Tilly.
00:15 - Yeah.
00:16 - You having fun there, Tilly?
00:17 - We need to make Dad's name.
00:18 - Yeah, make Dad's name.
00:20 Well, we've got Lego show.
00:21 Ding, ding, ding, on the table here.
00:23 Let's get him in, he's freaked out.
00:25 Cool, so Lego show, because Pop-Up gives it away,
00:28 the Black Country Bricks show.
00:30 - Yeah.
00:31 - Back for 2024.
00:32 - Yeah, we're back for a third year in a row now, so yeah.
00:34 - Just fill us in a little bit.
00:36 I mean, I know what it's all about,
00:37 but for anyone who's not been there, not seen it,
00:40 just what is it, where is it?
00:42 Go on, go on, Paul.
00:43 - It's at the Phoenix Collegiate Academy in West Bromwich.
00:47 It's on the 6th and 7th of April this year, obviously.
00:50 And it's all in aid of charity.
00:53 So we're a volunteer-led show.
00:55 We don't take a single penny,
00:56 and it's all for two wonderful charities,
00:58 which is Birmingham Children's Hospital
00:59 and another charity, which is Fairy Bricks,
01:01 which donates Lego sets to kids in children's hospitals
01:04 up and down the country.
01:05 - Oh, wow, cool.
01:06 And I've seen the show,
01:08 readers may have seen it in the paper.
01:10 It's fantastic.
01:11 Just finishing on, what can people expect
01:13 if they come to a show?
01:15 - So we've got over 50 unique displays
01:17 from master builders up and down the country.
01:19 They've built their own creations.
01:21 If we've got anything from a working fairground
01:23 to a haunted mansion, to a pinball,
01:26 to actual working pinball games.
01:28 This year as well, we've got Lego Robot Wars as well.
01:30 And flying bits as well.
01:31 So that is fantastic for the kids to watch as well.
01:34 - I mean, some of the displays up just took my breath away.
01:37 I particularly remember there was a War of the Worlds one,
01:39 wasn't there? - Yeah, yeah.
01:40 - Well, like the Geoff Wayne's album cover.
01:43 So it's a great event, isn't it?
01:45 Family event. - Very much so.
01:47 - There is a big brick show with the Big L World,
01:50 the Lego show, that costs a hell of a lot of money
01:53 to get into, isn't there?
01:54 - There is.
01:55 - And this, it's good budget.
01:57 Go on, what sort of price are you looking at this year?
01:58 - So it's six pound each, but also 20 pound for a family ticket
02:01 that's a family of four.
02:03 But yeah, you're right, there's way more expensive shows.
02:05 We've actually had people walk away from our event
02:07 saying it's better than the Legoland in Birmingham as well.
02:10 Just because of how much there is to do.
02:12 There's also got the Star Wars guys there as well this year.
02:14 They're great to have photos with.
02:16 But there's so much to do, so much to see as well.
02:18 And as I say, it's all for charity, which is single penny.
02:20 Every single penny goes to good causes.
02:23 - Awesome.
02:24 Right, sort that L out, Paul.
02:26 It's bugging me.
02:27 Go on, it's backwards.
02:28 What's going on on the Lego?
02:30 - Which one?
02:30 - On the Lego, look.
02:31 - Oh yeah, forgot about that.
02:32 - Right.
02:33 - Let's swap that around.
02:34 - Things must be right.
02:35 (laughing)
02:36 - I needed like a break for the day,
02:38 'cause look, I made a dad.
02:40 - Oh yeah.
02:41 - Let's see how you're getting on.
02:42 How you getting on with this dad bit?
02:43 - Oh, I think we're struggling with the dad bit.
02:44 - We're struggling.
02:45 - I think we need more breaks, don't we?
02:46 - Yeah.
02:47 - If we change his name to Yit, you're almost there.
02:49 (laughing)
02:50 Right, I'll leave you to it, guys.
02:52 - Bye, bye, Paul, bye, Tilly.
02:53 - Cheers, thanks. - Bye.
