00:05 Hi, my name is Kev and I'm the Interim Chief Nurse.
00:07 And I'm Claire and I'm the Interim Chief Operating Officer.
00:10 We wanted to tell you about our exciting plans for our multi-agency discharge event, MADE,
00:16 that is starting the Trust on Monday.
00:18 The MADE week is a week-long event starting on Monday 11th March and finishes on Sunday 18th March.
00:24 During this week, teams across our local system are going to come together and put our patients
00:30 at the centre of our discharge processes to support them to get home quicker.
00:35 If you are a patient with us during this week, you may notice some changes to your treatment or discharge.
00:41 But this is to provide you with the best, safest, most appropriate care for you.
00:47 As you are aware, our Emergency Department, a flow of patients across the Trust, is not what we would like to be.
00:53 And this is resulting in care being provided in incredibly difficult circumstances.
00:59 We are therefore asking for your help.
01:02 Everybody within our system has a part to play in making the MADE week a success.
01:08 We are asking for clinically led ward and department level decisions to be made with relation to the discharges.
01:14 And we'll provide executive oversight to support any parts of our processes or system that may delay this.
01:21 We know we have some brilliant teams with brilliant ideas and so this week gives our teams the autonomy to develop those ideas and pilot new ways of working.
01:31 All staff across the system are invited to be a part of our MADE event.
01:35 If you have any ideas or would like to join us, then please contact either of us directly.
01:40 We already have a great amount of enthusiasm about the week and are really looking forward to this enthusiasm having a direct impact of the care in which we provide our patients and the way in which our teams work.
01:52 We would like to say thank you to all of those involved already and are really excited to be working with you all on this initiative next week.
