00:02 - It's Maria Turner and we are back
00:05 for the 2024 UFL training camp here at Choctaw Stadium.
00:09 The Arlington Renegades had a joint practice
00:11 against the Houston Roughnecks on Tuesday.
00:14 And we spoke with Arlington head coach Bob Stoops,
00:16 who stated he has all the confidence
00:18 in his quarterback, Luis Perez.
00:20 - Well, we've seen enough of Luis.
00:22 So we thought these other three,
00:24 we'd give them more snaps, get more evaluation on them.
00:28 He's healthy and playing great.
00:31 - Perez was the MVP for the XFL championship in 2023.
00:35 And he stated, when you come back to camp,
00:37 the goal is to gather a group of guys
00:38 that you know can go back and win a championship.
00:41 - Every time you come into a camp,
00:42 you gotta try to win a championship
00:43 and just keep stacking the days.
00:45 It's obviously different
00:46 'cause I was with Vegas Vipers last year
00:48 and this year coming in here.
00:49 I get to go through all the training camp.
00:51 You know, now I know the whole offense.
00:53 You know, it's a lot different
00:53 than coming in midway through the season
00:55 and having to learn an offense and play the next week.
00:58 - For all things UFL, Arlington Renegades
01:00 and D210 sport updates,
01:02 stay tuned every Wednesday and Thursday nights,
