Labour's Sarah Jones calls on the Conservative Party should "give back the money" from a major Tory donor amid allegations of racist remarks. Frank Hester, one of the Conservative's biggest donors, reportedly made racist comments about former Labour MP Ms Abbott during a business meeting at his company headquarters in Leeds in 2019 – allegedly saying she made him “want to hate all black women”. Ms Jones says the Tories "need to show the public that they know the difference between right and wrong" and calls on Rishi Sunak to condemn the comments. Report by Kennedyl. 00:00 The comments were clearly racist, nobody could argue with that and I'm sure your
00:05 viewers would say the same. The Conservative Party should condemn them
00:08 and they should give back the money. They need to show the public that they know
00:13 the difference between right and wrong. When you have Lee Anderson making
00:17 horrific comments, when you have a Tory donor who's given £10 million
00:21 to the Conservative Party making these kind of comments and the Tories
00:26 won't give the money back, what does it say to the country about their sense of
00:30 right and wrong, their moral compass and Rishi Sunak's ability to run the country
00:34 in the way that most people would think was right. Well we know that Diane Abbott
00:38 has huge amounts of abuse online and of course she feels less safe. He said that
00:44 she should be shot. Who wouldn't feel less safe from that?
00:48 And that's why the government needs to act. Rishi Sunak needs to stop being so
00:51 weak, he needs to condemn these comments as the racist comments that they are,
00:55 and he needs to give the money back.
