00:00 Malaysia is seen to be left behind in the competition with Thailand to be the host of the next year's Formula E Prix Final,

00:11 although it has received the offer earlier, according to sources.

00:14 Formula E is understood to have invited Kuala Lumpur to be its final sponsor every year until 2030,

00:22 but the government has not yet given an answer to the offer.

00:26 The source also said that Executive Officer of Formula E, James Dodd, was eager to meet Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim last month to discuss the event and its benefits.

00:37 The source said Formula E needs to make a decision soon on the host of the final in its calendar.

00:44 This is because the statement needs to be verified as late as June to allow sufficient preparation for the Formula E 2025 calendar.
