03:02 Adrian Toomes, aka the villainous Vulture, turns out to be the dad of Peter's homecoming

03:18 The atmosphere gets even more tense when they have a private conversation.

03:27 Because if you do, I'll kill you and everybody you love.

03:37 Experiencing death threats through the eyes of a teenager is already unnerving.
03:41 Add in Michael Keaton's pitch-perfect performance, and this scene is captivating.

03:47 Yondu's Sacrifice - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
03:53 The pirate captain might have seemed irredeemably selfish in the first Guardians film, but in
03:58 the sequel, we get to see his more endearing qualities.
04:02 And with that, a heartbreaking death scene.
04:04 After defeating his genocidal father, Ego, Peter is left stranded on the imploding planet.
04:10 "He may have been your father, boy, but he wasn't your daddy."
04:15 Fortunately, Yondu flies in to save his adopted son from the vacuum of space.
04:19 But with only one holographic suit available, Yondu makes the ultimate sacrifice and gives
04:25 it to Peter.

04:32 This comes shortly after the two started to rekindle their relationship, guaranteeing
04:36 that this sequence will get us teary-eyed every time.

04:41 Thor Brings the Thunder - Thor Ragnarok
04:45 While fighting a seamlessly hopeless battle against his sister Hela, the Goddess of Death,
04:50 Thor experiences a vision of his father.
04:53 Odin reminds Thor that his power comes from within, and that his hammer, which Hela destroyed,
04:58 only helped channel it.
04:59 "That hammer was to help you control your power, to focus it."
05:03 Thor is then able to break free of Hela, blast her with lightning, and aid his friends by
05:07 absolutely wrecking Hela's army.
05:15 Seeing Thor mow through bad guys along with his friends' own awesome moments makes for
05:19 an amazing ride.
05:21 But having the whole thing set to Led Zeppelin?
05:23 That's the cherry on top.

05:27 Tony Escapes the Cave - Iron Man
05:30 When genius billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark is captured by the Ten Rings, he's
05:35 forced to build a missile called the Jericho.
05:42 "He says they have everything you need to build the Jericho missile.
05:48 He wants you to make the list of materials.
05:49 He says for you to start working immediately and when you're done, he will set you free."
05:54 But his captors severely underestimate him.
05:56 Instead of building the weapon, Tony forges a suit of armor to escape.
06:00 The first iteration of the Iron Man suit might have been built from a box of scraps, but
06:05 it's bulletproof and equipped with missiles and flamethrowers.
06:14 The Ten Rings never stood a chance.
06:16 Tony Stark would go on to create more powerful suits in the future, but his first action
06:21 sequence as Iron Man is downright iconic.

06:26 Quill Grabs the Power Stone - Guardians of the Galaxy
06:30 The Guardians of the Galaxy aren't your typical superheroes.
06:33 During the team's final battle with Ronan the Accuser, rather than throw down like you'd
06:37 expect, Star-Lord distracts the Conqueror by challenging him to a dance-off.
06:41 "What are you doing?"
06:43 "Dance-off, bro!
06:44 Me and you!"
06:46 When Drax and Rocket blow up Ronan's hammer, Quill makes a die for the stone and manages
06:51 to hold onto it, albeit at a great cost.
07:02 When the other Guardians join in, they're able to use the stone's energy to successfully
07:05 kill Ronan.
07:06 One part hilarious, one part touching, and all kinds of badass.
07:11 This scene is a little bit of everything that we've come to expect for our favorite misfits.

07:23 The Highway Opening - Deadpool If there were any doubts that Ryan Reynolds
07:28 could portray the character of Deadpool, they were quickly forgotten by the end of the scene.
07:33 It starts off with one of Deadpool's signature fourth-wall breaks.
07:37 "Oh, hello.
07:39 I know, right?"
07:41 Then he casually steps off an overpass and plunges into an SUV full of armed henchmen.
07:46 From there, chaos ensues.
07:48 Cars swerve out of control, motorcycles crash, and bodies go flying.
07:53 The brutal action delivers on the film's R-rating, and the fight is as fast-paced as
07:57 the jokes.
07:58 "Did I leave the stove on?"
08:00 The film's opening set-piece offers just about everything fans wanted to see from the
08:05 merc with a mouth.

08:08 Raving Scene - Blade People tend to forget about the Blade movies,
08:19 and they really shouldn't because they're awesome.
08:21 Marvel's first hit movie franchise kicked off with a bang with this club scene, in which
08:26 an unsuspecting man is lured to a vampire rave club complete with bloody sprinklers.
08:31 However, this bloodbath soon turns bloodier for the vampires when Blade raids the rave.
08:37 The vampire hunter proceeds to disintegrate dozens of vampires with his special weapons
08:44 and engages in some excellently choreographed combat.
08:48 While the effects don't hold up very well, the atmosphere and coolness more than make
08:52 up for them.

08:55 Killmonger Defeats T'Challa - Black Panther The first Black Panther film has plenty of
09:01 rewatchable moments, but the second one-on-one fight for control of Wakanda is the most captivating.
09:07 Killmonger is dead set on becoming king, so T'Challa is left with no choice but to accept
09:13 his challenge for the throne.
09:23 Even without vibranium suits or superpowers, this fight has spectacular choreography, and
09:29 both characters land some nasty blows on each other.
09:32 But what's most impactful is the murder of Zuri and the harrowing defeat of our main character.
09:39 This moment might have been T'Challa's lowest point, but it's the one that made Killmonger
09:43 a villain we love to hate.

09:47 The Hallway Fight - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 The Guardians have had several memorable
09:53 fights over the years, so it's only fitting they go all out in the final installment of
09:58 their trilogy.
09:59 Soundtracked by No Sleep Till Brooklyn, the team clashes with an army of guards in Hellspawn.
10:14 While a hallway isn't the most exciting place for a fight, the slow-mo visuals and cinematography
10:19 more than make up for it.
10:21 Everything from Star-Lord's gunslinging to Gamora's swordplay are highlighted, and
10:25 the best part is that once the action gets started, it plays out like it was shot in
10:30 one take.
10:43 This glorious bloodbath only gets better on repeat viewings.

10:49 The Bargain - Doctor Strange - Doctor Strange begins his debut film as quite the self-centered

11:08 However, his journey to becoming a sorcerer helps him become a better person.
11:12 All this culminates when he tries to stop the powerful, extra-dimensional villain Dormammu
11:16 from invading Earth and our dimension.
11:25 Despite requesting a bargain from Dormammu, the entity immediately kills him, only for
11:29 Strange to approach Dormammu again and make the same proposal.
11:39 Strange eventually reveals that he's trapped the two of them in a time loop using the Time
11:42 Stone, ensuring that while he will suffer and die, the Earth will be safe.
11:47 This goes on for quite a while before Dormammu agrees to leave Earth alone.
11:51 Sometimes the best fights are those a hero has already won.
11:55 #18.
11:56 The Airport Fight - Captain America - Civil War - In the third Captain America film, the
12:01 Avengers are divided, with Cap and Iron Man's factions coming to blows.
12:06 Now, this might not be the film's final fight, but it's the one fans keep coming
12:10 back to over and over.
12:20 Cap and company are trying to catch a plane to escape an airport, while Iron Man's crew
12:24 attempts to stop them by force.
12:26 The clash breaks down into a number of smaller bouts.
12:28 Superpowers, cutting-edge tech, and expert hand-to-hand combat all combine to spectacular
12:34 effect, making for a scene that is endlessly rewatchable.
12:43 And we haven't even mentioned all the verbal sparring.
12:46 With so much going on, it's easy to miss things, which makes rewatching the scene especially
12:50 rewarding.

12:59 Logan's Death - Logan - Superhero cinema is a genre that often features actors in long-running
13:05 roles across numerous films.
13:07 But few superhero tenures have been as long or involved as many appearances as Hugh Jackman
13:12 as Wolverine.
13:14 So when the character finally meets his end, protecting young mutants from a shady organization
13:18 in Logan, it hits really hard.
13:25 We try to remind ourselves that it's a work of fiction, but that's made difficult by
13:28 the 17 years we've spent getting to know and love this version of the character.
13:32 Logan's final moments, which he spends giving heartfelt advice to his cloned daughter, gets
13:37 us choked up every time.
13:42 The X-themed funeral tribute is beautiful and absolutely perfect.

13:54 Puny God - The Avengers - The first MCU crossover film is packed with memorable moments, but
14:01 this one is the most satisfying to revisit.
14:04 During the final climactic battle in New York, Thor's villainous brother Loki finally gets
14:08 taken down a peg in a major way.
14:14 After getting knocked onto Stark Tower by Hawkeye, Loki is pursued by the Hulk.
14:18 The Asgardian, ever arrogant, tries to deliver one of his trademark egotistical "I'm better
14:23 than you" speeches.
14:24 But the Hulk is having none of it and proceeds to smash the smug snake around the room.
14:35 It's a wonderful subversion of how villains are usually defeated, and it's hilarious to
14:39 boot.
14:43 #15.
14:47 The Ending - Spider-Man - Peter Parker is a flawed and very human hero.
14:57 At the conclusion of the first film in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, Peter attends
15:01 the funeral for Norman Osborn, his foe and his best friend's dad.
15:06 While there, he is kissed by Mary Jane, and while he returns her feelings, he rejects
15:10 her, as he worries that she'll be caught up in danger if she becomes involved with him.
15:14 "No matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, the ones I love will always be the ones
15:24 who pay."
15:26 While walking away, he recalls his Uncle Ben's immortal words about "great power and great
15:30 responsibility."
15:31 We then cut to Spider-Man swinging through New York as the music swells.
15:35 Decades later, we still get thrills and chills from this great conclusion.
15:39 "Who am I?
15:42 I'm Spider-Man."
15:45 #14.
15:47 Captain America vs. Iron Man - Captain America Civil War
15:52 While there are certainly bigger final battles in Marvel movies, this is one of the more
15:56 emotional.
15:57 While confronting the manipulative Helmut Zemo, the villain reveals that Captain America's
16:01 friend Bucky Barnes, who was brainwashed as the assassin, the Winter Soldier, was responsible
16:06 for murdering Tony Stark's parents.
16:08 "This isn't going to change what happened.
16:10 I don't care.
16:12 He killed my mom."
16:14 This prompts a desperate two-on-one battle as Cap is forced to defend one of his friends
16:18 from another.
16:19 "He's my friend.
16:21 So was I."
16:25 With a tragic atmosphere and some truly hard hits throughout, this fight gets our blood
16:29 pumping even as it breaks our hearts.
16:32 "I could do this all day."
16:35 #13.
16:36 X-Men Fights - X2, X-Men United This X-Men sequel starts off with a bang.
16:42 A White House tour turns dangerous when one of the guests turns out to be a brainwashed
16:46 Nightcrawler.
16:47 "Perimeter breach at Visor's checkpoint."
16:54 The Blue Devil-tailed mutant proceeds to teleport throughout the President's residence while
16:58 taking out the Secret Service in an amazing action scene.
17:01 The scene uses judicious slow-motion shots to emphasize Nightcrawler's acrobatic fighting
17:06 style.
17:07 And setting the whole sequence to Mozart's Requiem lends the whole thing a sense of momentousness
17:12 that few other scenes can match.
17:14 Grandiose, cool, and just the right length, this is one scene we like to baff back to
17:19 whenever we get the chance.

17:31 Hammer Contest - Avengers Age of Ultron
17:34 "Whosoever be he worthy shall have the power."
17:37 "Whatever, man, it's a trick."
17:40 During an after-party at the Avengers Tower celebrating their victory of Loki's scepter,
17:44 the Avengers unwind and Hawkeye claims that Thor's supposedly exclusive ability to wield
17:49 Mjolnir, his hammer, is just a trick.
17:52 This leads to a montage of the various members of the Avengers attempting to lift the hammer,
17:56 with little success to be found, although Captain America manages to budge it slightly.
18:05 While it's undeniably a funny moment, it also acts as a brilliant foreshadowing for later
18:09 events in both the film and the franchise, which is a major reason why so many people
18:13 like to revisit it.

18:17 Earth-838 - Illuminati - Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
18:23 Fans went into this sequel expecting some big cameos, but were still surprised to see
18:29 who appeared.
18:30 When Strange arrives on Earth-838, he soon meets its heroes.
18:40 Among the familiar MCU faces are Choatel Egeofor as Mordo, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter,
18:46 and Lashana Lynch's Maria Rambeau as Captain Marvel.
18:50 Benson Mount and Patrick Stewart also reprise their roles as Black Bolt and Professor X.
18:55 But the biggest surprise was the appearance of Reed Richards, played by the popularly
18:59 fan-casted John Krasinski.
19:11 But this all-star lineup doesn't last long when the Scarlet Witch comes around.
19:15 The Illuminati's introduction and Swift's demise is an absolute rollercoaster we can't
19:21 help but rewatch.
19:23 #10.
19:24 The Snap - Avengers Infinity War This Marvel crossover felt huge from start
19:29 to finish, but The Snap is the moment that truly rocked cinema-goers around the world.
19:42 After Big Bad Thanos acquires all the Infinity Stones, the Avengers make a desperate last
19:47 stand to stop him before he can kill half of all life in the universe.
19:50 Although Thor comes close, his aim is off.
19:53 The choice to go for the chest allows Thanos to snap his fingers and commit genocide on
19:57 an incomprehensible scale.
20:06 Watching so many of our favorite superheroes fade to dust was a massive punch in the gut
20:11 the first time we saw it.
20:12 And it still hurts on repeat viewings.
20:14 But the iconic nature of the scene keeps us coming back.

20:28 The Kitchen - X-Men Days of Future Past
20:40 The X-Men universe's version of Quicksilver is just so fun.
20:44 Although his rescue at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters is a blast, too, his major
20:48 showcase scene is what makes our list.
20:51 When breaking Magneto out of prison, the silver-haired speedster takes matters into his own hands
20:56 when the group is threatened by a group of guards with guns while passing through the
20:59 kitchen.
21:00 Time seems to slow down as Quicksilver speeds up, and he proceeds to take out the guards
21:05 in creative ways before finally stopping the bullets moving slowly towards his friends.
21:19 Everything about the scene, from its humor, to its effects, to its perfect song choice,
21:24 makes it feel like a work of art that we can't help but admire repeatedly.

21:37 Elevator Fights - Captain America - The Winter Soldier
21:40 The second Captain America film in the MCU has some of the best hand-to-hand combat in
21:45 the history of superhero cinema.
21:47 We considered that epic highway fight with the Winter Soldier, but this close-quarters
21:50 combat takes the cake.
21:57 While traveling in an elevator, Cap is surrounded by supposed "Shield Agents" who actually
22:01 mean to harm him.
22:09 Steve Rogers manages to hold his own against overwhelming numbers in an enclosed space,
22:14 before jumping out of the elevator and crashing to the ground.
22:16 The creative choreography and tension are top-notch in this scene, which has made it
22:20 a definite fan favorite.

22:27 The Leap - Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse - Miles Morales is new at the whole being
22:33 Spider-Man thing.
22:34 It's understandably a lot for him to juggle alongside schoolwork and parental expectations,
22:39 and it doesn't really help his self-esteem when he meets other Spider-People who've
22:42 already been doing it for much longer.
22:44 Thankfully, an inspiring speech from his father through a closed door leads Miles to escape
22:49 his bonds, both literal and metaphorical.
22:58 After making his own spider suit, he takes a leap off a tall building and swings through
23:02 the streets of New York.
23:10 It's a gorgeous and invigorating scene that's the perfect way to mark his debut as the web-slinger
23:14 - and a joy to revisit.
23:20 #6.
23:23 I Am Iron Man - Iron Man At the end of the first Iron Man, which kicked
23:28 off the MCU, genius billionaire and inventor Tony Stark is asked to read a prepared statement
23:34 denying his involvement in the preceding events.
23:36 Although the official story is meant to be that the man in the suit was a bodyguard,
23:40 a pointed question from a reporter pricks Tony's considerable ego.
23:49 So he decides to go off script and defy the traditional superhero secret identity cliché.
23:54 The line, and the scene as a whole, is emblematic of the character and extremely popular with
23:58 fans.
23:59 It's even becoming something of a catchphrase.
24:13 It's also a line he delivered most notably to bookend his story in Endgame.
24:18 Another scene that we keep re-watching, heartbreaking though it might be.

24:34 The Spider-Men Form A Bond - Spider-Man No Way Home
24:38 After months of speculation, No Way Home delivered on the Spider-Man crossover fans had long
24:43 been begging for.
24:45 Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield finally got to team up as their respective
24:50 Spider-Mans.
25:04 Their conversation at the Statue of Liberty is every bit as charming as you'd expect.
25:08 It starts with Maguire's Spidey fixing his back problems.
25:12 Then they spend some time comparing their powers and weirdest foes.
25:15 They express some light jealousy and share words of encouragement.
25:26 We would love to see these three chat for hours, but witnessing them bond for just these
25:30 few minutes is still extremely entertaining.

25:34 The Circle Shot - The Avengers Yeah, you all knew this one was coming.
25:40 During the Avengers' first titular team-up movie, the fledgling superhero group gathers
25:44 in New York as Loki and his army invades Earth.
25:47 "So, this all seems horrible."
25:51 After Bruce Banner shares his anger management secrets and punches an alien monster the size
25:55 of a 747 in the face, the Avengers gather together for an epic pose as each gets ready
26:00 to fight the coming horde.
26:12 The scene, and this shot in particular, has become symbolic of not only the Avengers,
26:17 but arguably the MCU as a whole.
26:19 No matter how often we see it, it never fails to get us hyped.

26:24 Thor Arrives in Wakanda - Avengers Infinity War
26:31 Everybody gets put through the ringer in this Avengers film, but Thor especially so.
26:36 Losing half his people, his brother, and getting wrecked by Thanos, Thor bounces back with
26:40 a plan to get a stronger weapon to kill the conqueror who ruined his life with.
26:44 Meanwhile, in Wakanda, Thanos' forces are invading and beginning to overrun the Avengers
26:49 and their Wakandan allies.
26:51 To the arrival of Thor, Rocket and Groot with the Asgardian King wielding his new axe and
26:56 ready to lay the smackdown on Thanos.
27:06 The amount of hype we still get when Thor demands Thanos be brought to him while destroying
27:10 his minions can't properly be quantified.
27:13 Get this god a Thanos.
27:16 #2.
27:18 Action Scene - Spider-Man 2 There are a lot of fantastic action scenes
27:23 in Marvel movies, but this one is something special.
27:26 While battling atop a clock tower, the battle between Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man spills
27:30 onto a moving subway metro train.
27:33 The speeding vehicle and the duo's unique abilities and equipment make for a creative
27:37 fight sequence.
27:38 But where things really get memorable is when Doc Ock sets the train moving at full speed
27:43 and removes the brakes.
27:51 Peter Parker pushes himself and his powers to the absolute limits trying to save the
27:55 passengers, and the scene never fails to blow us away.
28:03 The fact that people insist on making memes out of it has also helped its rewatchability.

28:34 Final Battle - Avengers Endgame You know, the whole last battle between Thanos
28:39 and the Avengers is just so loaded with scenes and moments that we honestly couldn't narrow
28:43 it down to just a single scene.
28:55 From Cap wielding Thor's hammer at last, to that triumphant Avengers assemble, to all
29:01 the smaller character interactions, there's just so much to enjoy.
29:13 This battle feels like the culmination of not only MCU up to this point, but also superhero
29:18 filmmaking in general.
29:20 We have a hard time tearing our eyes away.
29:21 And with so much happening on screen, there's always something new to be found with each
29:25 repeat viewing.
