Transcript
00:00 I'm here just south of St. Louis, Missouri, where we have a tornado watch in effect this evening until 9pm.
00:06 That tornado watch is from southwestern Missouri all the way through St. Louis to eastern Illinois.
00:12 And already we have supercells that have developed just to the west, southwest, northwest of St. Louis.
00:18 This is just to the southwest of St. Louis. This is a tornado-warned supercell crossing the Mississippi River right now,
00:24 making its way into the east.
00:26 Besides tornadoes, these storms will pose a risk for barge hail, damaging hail, and destructive winds,
00:32 supercellular winds, 60 miles per hour or higher gusts.
00:35 So I will be tracking these storms this evening across Illinois towards Indiana.
00:40 And this is a long-duration event. Storms have fired here early, and these storms will track.
00:45 These will be long-track storms as they move across southern Illinois this evening.
