Offensive Coordinator Will Stein has one of the most talented quarterback rooms in the country featuring Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore.
Transcript
00:00 >> How much autonomy will Dylan have by way of comparison to Bo,
00:03 because Bo had probably as much as any quarterback in the country.
00:06 So is he at the same level of going through freedom of control, etc?
00:10 >> Yeah, we build our system around the quarterback and
00:12 give them that freedom at the line of scrimmage.
00:14 So Dylan, Dante, Austin, Brock, Luke, Ryder, Hayes,
00:19 everybody's taught the exact same, the exact same checks.
00:23 We anticipate that to remain consistent in this next season too.
00:27 >> Dan told us yesterday that Dylan and Dante really just jumped in as far as
00:30 preparation goes this offseason.
00:32 What have you seen from them so far?
00:34 >> Yeah, I mean, they're professionals, they take it serious,
00:38 just like Austin does, and Luke's playing in that same way.
00:41 But Dylan's a veteran guy, just like how Bo came in here with a lot of experience.
00:47 Dylan has that same experience.
00:48 Dante had experience last year at UCLA playing in games.
00:52 Austin is so much farther ahead now than what he was at this point last year,
00:56 because he knows the system.
00:57 So everybody's doing a really good job of preparing themselves for
01:02 walkthroughs and spring practice, and really excited about their development so
01:06 far. >> Let's flip back and
01:07 forth with the quarterbacks.
01:08 I think we talked about you and Bo building up the offense, finding the right fit.
01:12 Same kind of approach this year with maybe out of the course, right?
01:15 >> Yeah, I mean, I'm always looking to improve myself.
01:19 And these guys are exceptional football players, and
01:22 they're extremely intelligent when it comes to the game.
01:25 I mean, guys nowadays are so much further ahead than what they were when I played.
01:28 So I'm always looking to build scheme.
01:31 I was seeing, Dante played for a pretty good guy last year,
01:35 as we all know, was a really good offensive coach.
01:37 They might have stuff that I wanted to know that now I can learn.
01:40 Same with Dylan, with Jeff Levy.
01:42 So I'm trying to improve myself and
01:44 trying to, what's the best thing that we can do for our offense?
01:47 And you're gonna see a lot of similar, but there's gonna be some tweaks and
01:52 build it around the quarterbacks and what they do well.
01:54 and kind of go on from there.
