02:10 >> I think he's going to get a little bit of a break.
02:11 >> I think he's going to get a little bit of a break.
02:12 >> That's not the caution.
02:16 Hamlin getting into the wall in three.
02:18 >> It was the other flat tire.
02:20 Kyle Busch in two.
02:22 >> Kyle Busch going around in turn two.
02:25 There's no tire left on that right rear.
02:27 >> It's wearing through all the tread down through the cords.
02:29 Finally it blows air out of the cords.
02:32 >> As we get toward the end of stage one, he's got it.
02:35 Look at Ty Gibbs has climbed all the way to second place.
02:38 >> He doesn't stop there.
02:39 They are really stacking up behind him.
02:42 >> You're talking six or seven of all of them right here in a row.
02:46 You could throw a blanket over them.
02:48 >> This is all whose car is not wearing the tires the most.
02:51 When you drive this car, it will just -- when the right rear tire shuts off and it is instantaneous
02:57 and all of a sudden you can't drive it anymore and you have to almost stop to make the car
03:01 go around the racetrack.
03:03 >> Busch takes third from keselowski.
03:04 >> Hamlin in a wall off of three.
03:06 Turn three.
03:08 >> It's down.
03:11 The right rear finally blew out on him.
03:13 I don't think he's the only one.
03:15 Hamlin was in trouble getting into three.
03:17 He was in trouble.
03:18 William Byron gets into him.
03:20 Tags the wall just a little bit.
03:22 Unbelievable tire wear we're seeing.
03:23 >> That was not the caution.
03:25 Hamlin getting into the wall in three.
03:27 Ty Gibbs is going to get his first career stage win in the NASCAR cup series.
03:35 >> Carl pace car is in and here we go.
03:46 >> Ty Gibbs looking at the outside of Kyle Larson for the lead off of two.
03:50 >> I think Kyle Larson is in that tire conservation mode.
03:53 He's going to listen to Daniels and back his pace off and try to save his tires.
03:57 Ty Gibbs took off there and passed him.
04:00 We saw them run and you're going to see Ty Gibbs go on the outside for the lead.
04:05 He's like, okay, I'm going to go back up front and take the lead and I'm going to set the
04:08 pace again.
04:09 He was struggling with his car and his right front tire was one of the first ones we showed
04:14 with cords on it.
04:15 He's like, hey, this is a good opportunity and maybe playing into something that I can
04:19 do better than I could do when everybody was trying to go.
04:22 >> There are several science projects going on here.
04:46 >> Ty Gibbs had the best car at the end of the last stage.
04:49 >> Crash, turn four.
04:52 Daniel Hemric up and against the wall.
04:54 Zane Smith with him and Ricky stenhouse put us under caution.
04:57 >> It all started down the back stretch.
04:59 I think you're seeing them off of two here.
05:03 They start stacking up around Zane Smith.
05:06 Checking up in front of him as well.
05:09 Stenhouse gets into Mcdowell there.
05:10 Slides up into -- well, he bounces off another one.
05:14 I think he had some damage in front of his car from what happened in turn two.
05:19 The rest is history.
05:23 >> John Hunter Nemechek was trying to race his way forward on the outside.
05:26 Came down on Joey Logano.
05:28 Look at this stack up.
05:29 >> That's exactly what led to the stack up.
05:31 >> At least everybody won't be in the tie.
05:35 >> Look at the positives.
05:36 >> There's that.
05:37 NASCAR V.P.
05:38 Came to the booth and said they will release one extra set of tires to each team.
05:45 >> We'll see how much he's got left after he's had to be a little harder on his tires
05:49 than he wants to be.
05:51 >> Gibbs restarted 28th.
05:53 Around goes Kyle Busch in turn two.
05:56 Caution waves.
05:57 >> Wait, wait.
05:58 All by himself.
05:59 I see the tire is still up.
06:04 >> We saw so many guys have trouble with that in qualifying yesterday.
06:07 They run one hard lap and then the second lap into turn three, it would just slide out
06:12 from underneath them as they go off into the corner.
06:21 >> Bell and Nemechek on fresh tires right behind.
06:24 Here we go.
06:33 >> See both of those cars really struggling.
06:35 Here comes Logano on the inside.
06:37 Race is on for the stage end.
06:39 >> Joey Logano knows he needs these points.
06:41 With as bad as his beginning of the season has started, he needs this stage win and the
06:44 points to go with it.
06:45 >> Door slam off of two.
06:48 >> Bell is trying to hold him down on the exit.
06:50 Take that exit away from him.
06:51 Good race for the lead.
06:54 >> Six to go.
06:55 Nemechek is there as well.
07:02 >> That staying out did not prosper for either of them.
07:06 Here we go for the lead.
07:07 Lap and a half to go in the stage.
07:09 Ty Gibbs takes it away from Joey Logano.
07:13 >> Rifled that car off into three.
07:15 >> Little wiggle on exit.
07:17 >> I think he's been right there with Ty Gibbs as he came through the field.
07:21 When he went by Brad keselowski, he followed him right through the rest of the pack to
07:25 the front.
07:26 But that 54 car is definitely the dominant car.
07:29 Ty Gibbs sweeps the stages in Bristol.
07:34 >> Now the decision time is on.
07:37 I think they stay out.
07:38 I want to save this set of tires.
07:40 >> They took four stickers last stop.
07:41 They've got stickers this time as well.
07:43 The 42, John Hunter, Nemechek, right side scuffs.
07:46 Last time around they're going to do stickers there as he stopped a little sideways.
07:51 >> Oh, big trouble right there.
07:53 Sendrik hits him in the right front wheel.
07:55 Couldn't get out of his box slow.
07:57 Here comes sliding in, nailed him.
08:00 >> Hasn't been the case.
08:01 >> Gibbs and Truex bring us back to green for stage three.
08:05 Logano and bell right behind.
08:08 Nemechek has been tough all day with Gilliland, keselowski and chastain.
08:13 Larson and Wallace the top ten.
08:16 >> It's a game of chicken right now.
08:17 You don't want to pit because you're hoping somebody else has the issue.
08:21 You see them go by Todd Gill and stenhouse goes around.
08:24 >> Turn four, stenhouse and sendrik.
08:27 That will bring the caution out.
08:30 >> Right in front of the leaders.
08:33 >> That's Gilliland.
08:34 I told you he was way off the pace.
08:35 Stacked them all up.
08:36 Sendrik shoots in the inside three wide and gets into stenhouse and wipes him out.
08:41 >> It looked like he just clipped the apron right there.
08:44 >> Ready for the restart.
08:45 It will be 121 laps to go.
08:48 >> Larson and bell out front.
09:04 >> Still a little bit confusing on that.
09:06 You just heard them.
09:08 Look out.
09:10 >> Boy, Ryan Blaney got muscled around there.
09:14 He got moved is what he got.
09:18 He got chastain.
09:19 >> Chastain moved him out of the way.
09:21 He did a whale of a job holding that car underneath of him.
09:30 >> Denny Hamlin back to the outside.
09:32 >> It's going to come at the most ill handling part of the run.
09:35 It's going to be worse for the guys in front of him than it is for them.
09:37 >> Look at the cars in front of him.
09:40 Chastain, Bubba Wallace on the outside.
09:43 >> Chastain trying to stay on the lead lap.
09:45 >> Denny moved his car.
09:46 Bubba, get out of my way.
09:47 >> I'm sorry.
09:48 I own that thing.
09:49 >> Oops.
09:50 >> And the pit woes continue for Kyle Busch.
09:57 >> Yep.
09:58 Didn't have that luck.
09:59 >> Gave Hamlin a little bit extra lead.
10:02 Exactly what he looked.
10:03 Coming around here to want to go.
10:05 This is just what the doctor ordered.
10:06 Exactly what Denny Hamlin wanted to see.
10:08 >> White flag sponsored by credit one bank.
10:13 >> He's going to sit around here.
10:20 >> Works around the outside of chase briscoe.
10:22 By about 12 car lengths, Denny Hamlin is going to win Bristol.
10:27 >> Two in a row here.
10:30 >> My man.
10:31 >> A winner here last fall.
10:34 And he wins on the return to spring concrete.
