00:00 The Court of Appeal has postponed the prosecution's appeal from Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's acquittal

00:06 in his foreign visa system corruption case to September 9th.

00:11 Justice Hadaria Said Ismail, who chaired a three-member bench, said this would be the

00:15 final adjournment of the hearing.

00:19 She also said the bench had agreed to grant a longer adjournment to enable the prosecution

00:23 to deal with representations made to the Attorney General's Chambers on Zahid's behalf.

00:29 Also on the panel hearing, the case were Justices Azman Abdullah and Asim Kumati Supia.

00:35 Earlier, Zahid's lead counsel Hisham Tepotate told the court that a second set of representations

00:41 were lodged with the Attorney General's Chambers on February 7th.

00:45 He said the representations must be given fair and just consideration.

00:50 Lawyer Hamidi Noh also told the court that the prosecution's written submissions were

00:54 only received by Zahid's legal team last Thursday.

00:57 He said the team needs time to consider several new issues raised and to file a reply.

01:08 Altra Kirana Sindhi Ranbirhat to extend the company's contract to manage the VLN.
