00:00 "Elongated man, ready to help kick butt."
00:02 "Ignore him. It's his first crossover."
00:04 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the top 30 most iconic and
00:09 memorable TV crossovers that brought together two or more different television universes for a single story.
00:15 "What's the robot version of bromance?"
00:17 "Romance!"
00:18 "You future guys have a word for everything."
00:21 Number 30. Rainy Day. The king of Queens and everybody loves Raymond.
00:27 "Just come. It's fine. It's fine."
00:29 "You're a good man, Randy."
00:30 It's no surprise to learn that beloved family man Ray Barone and delivery driver Doug Heffernan
00:36 are buddies. Even more on-brand for both is the struggle between recreation and responsibility.
00:41 "What do you think I should do?"
00:42 "Don't play golf."
00:46 "But it's at a private course. He's got a tea time and everything."
00:49 When Ray invites Doug to play golf at an exclusive club,
00:53 his proposition unfortunately conflicts with a previous engagement. Doug must choose between
00:58 consoling a recently divorced friend or playing 18 holes, so he rearranges plans to do both.
01:04 "Oh, that's 250 yards right there. Oh, the wind's catching it."
01:08 Too bad Mother Nature intervenes.
01:11 "There we go. There we go. Nice shot, chubby. I stink. I stink."
01:16 The two leading men are naturally believable pals,
01:19 and there's the added bonus of a cameo by the great Doris Roberts.
01:23 "It might be good to have some ginger ale on hand for company here.
01:28 It's the right thing to do."
01:33 A separate episode of Everybody Loves Raymond playfully swaps their roles,
01:40 and it's Ray who must make a similar decision. It seems whenever two NYC burros meet,
01:45 shenanigans will ensue.
01:47 "If you ask me in front of her as if you're asking me for the first time,
01:50 right? And then I'll turn you down. She'll think that I'm being thoughtful,
01:55 you know? And then we just hope Santa takes the cookies."
01:59 29. The Apartment - Matt About You and Seinfeld
02:04 Never wondered how Kramer landed his apartment across the hall from Jerry? Well,
02:08 this crossover moment explains it.
02:10 "Is this yours? I don't believe so. It's weird. I don't know where it came from."
02:16 Both sitcoms ran on NBC in the 90s, and took place in New York City,
02:20 so it's only natural the two worlds would collide.
02:23 In a season one episode of Matt About You, newlywed Paul must relinquish his bachelor
02:27 apartment, which he generously gifts to Kramer, in exchange for one cigar.
02:32 "That's a good cigar. They're Cubans."
02:33 But that's not the only connection the series shares with another.
02:38 Ursula, Phoebe's twin on Friends, was originally a character in Matt About You.
02:42 "The most ferocious of all is Tyrannosaurus Rex."
02:45 "I'm sorry, Tyrannosaurus Rex."
02:47 Not only did that role help land Lisa Kudrow the part of Phoebe,
02:51 in a short scene in Central Perk, Jamie and Fran make a cameo, confusing Phoebe for Ursula.
02:57 "Hi, it's us. Right, and it's me."
03:03 More on that later.
03:06 28. The Defenders - The Marvel Cinematic Universe Television Series
03:12 One episode just isn't enough to do this team-up justice, so they got a whole series instead.
03:17 As the culmination of the Marvel Netflix shows, this miniseries took the stars of
03:21 four different shows and put them into one action-packed sucker punch of a season.
03:25 "Jessica?"
03:26 "Luke."
03:26 "How you been?"
03:28 "Long story."
03:29 "We have to get out of here."
03:30 "Who's he?"
03:31 That's right, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist all in one.
03:37 Since the characters were already developed, The Defenders hits the ground running with
03:41 some extraordinary fight scenes and dramatic plot lines. Plus,
03:45 who doesn't love seeing Sigourney Weaver play a villain?
03:48 "If we speed the process, it will not be quiet."
03:52 "I'm aware."
03:54 The excellent cast chemistry and higher stakes meant this mini-Avengers team truly assembled.
03:59 27. Chapter 99 - The Witching Hours - Riverdale and Sabrina the Teenage Witch
04:06 The recipe for this potion is as follows. A mystical asteroid,
04:11 an ancient ritual, and a very welcome house guest. Trust us, the concoction is downright
04:16 spellbinding. Even before Sabrina shows up, it's a plain treat to see Riverdale's ensemble flex
04:22 their acting chops by portraying their own ancestors. Of course, the main event is Sabrina
04:27 herself, whose snarky wit made us wish Kiernan Shipka had become a series regular.
04:31 "Mmm, must be the season of the witch."
04:37 "Well, well, well. Look at what the black cat dragged in."
04:40 After all, this worthwhile adventure is basically an episode-long thesis of how
04:45 Sabrina might fit into the series' universe. Thankfully, this wouldn't be the last time
04:49 Riverdale needed a true witch.
04:51 "There is no death for witches. Only transformation."
04:55 26. The Seminar - The Office UK and The Office US
05:00 In more ways than one, there would be no Michael Scott without David Brent.
05:04 "Sorry, mate."
05:04 "Oh, sorry, mate. Excuse me, mate."
05:06 "What are you doing?"
05:09 "English."
05:09 Not only did Ricky Gervais' take on the delusional and reckless man in charge lay the foundation for
05:14 Steve Carell to mine comedic gold, he also helped create the original iteration of The Office as
05:19 well. So it's fitting that the show's US remake would pay tribute to its predecessor in the best
05:24 way possible.
05:25 "It's called Reginald Poofter."
05:27 "Oh, David Brent, my liege. How are you?"
05:30 "Michael Scott!"
05:32 When Michael bumps into David in the Season 7 cold open, the two unsurprisingly develop
05:37 an instant connection with their equally awkward senses of humor. Watching these two interact was
05:42 a dream come true for fans, and the hug Michael gives David after the latter utters his favorite
05:47 catchphrase is the cherry on top.
05:49 "Comedy is a place where the mind goes to tickle itself. That's what she said."
05:54 "Oh, man."
05:59 Number 25. CSI Trilogy, CSI Miami, CSI New York, and CSI Crime Scene Investigation
06:06 "It'd be very difficult to say without first taking a look at the evidence."
06:09 "We'd love another set of eyes on it."
06:11 "I'll be there as soon as I can."
06:14 Across three shows, three cities, and one very nasty homicide, this multi-part case proved
06:20 nothing is more gripping than a fictional crime scene. Though it aired as one continuous story,
06:26 the most impressive aspect of this crossover is how well each show managed to sustain its own
06:30 unique relationships and conflicts. The distinct visual identity and flashy transitions from each
06:35 episode are all still intact. It's just that the case doesn't wrap up in tidy fashion like
06:40 you would expect. Instead of going for bigger, this keeps things intimate by almost solely relying
06:45 on Lawrence Fishburne to hold the sprawling cold case together.
06:49 "How can I go back after everything that's happened?"
06:51 "All you have to do is walk through the door."
06:56 As expected, he does it without breaking a sweat.
06:59 Number 24. Static Shock and Batman Beyond, Static Shock
07:04 There's no time like the present for a good old-fashioned superhero team-up. Or the future,
07:09 if you want to get technical. When Static suits up with Batman to save a kidnapped hero,
07:13 it comes with a few stipulations.
07:16 "First, we don't have guests here. And second, I'm Batman."
07:20 "And I'm Beyoncé."
07:22 "Well, whoever you are, you don't belong here."
07:25 For example, Terry McGinnis is the man in the suit, not Bruce Wayne. And they're trying to
07:31 rescue an aged-up version of Static himself. Fortunately, even 40 years in the future,
07:36 both Terry and Virgil prove that youth, spandex, and crime-fighting are a heroic package.
07:42 "Got a plan?"
07:42 "Go down there and fight real hard."
07:45 "That's what I was thinking. And I don't even have a mentor."
07:48 Smashing the commentary of Static Shock with Batman Beyond's chic aesthetic is a
07:52 winning combination in every way. Though, from these shows, that's hardly shocking.
07:57 Number 23. Critical Film Studies for A Few Paintballs More and Something Good Coming,
08:03 Part 1. Cougartown and Community
08:05 And the award for most subtle crossover ever goes to these guys. In an innocuous scene,
08:11 Community jokes that Abed's obsession with pop culture landed him a gig as an extra on Cougartown.
08:16 "This morning I saw this big billboard and it said, 'Cheap tickets to Hawaii.' And I thought,
08:20 'Yeah, you know, why not? Why don't I just max out my credit card and just go to Hawaii?'"
08:24 The catch? That's exactly what happened. In the season two finale of Cougartown,
08:28 Abed is sitting in the background continually pulling focus. But, hilariously, it's never
08:33 overtly mentioned. Better yet, the crossover doesn't end there, either. Cougartown alumni
08:39 Dan Bird and Busy Phillips later return the favor by making their own cameos in
08:43 Community's season finale, once again unacknowledged. This Easter egg of a crossover is just the kind of
08:57 meta-humor that's made both shows bona fide cult hits.
09:00 Number 22. The Resurrection in The Remains and Dead Men Tell No Tales, Bones and Sleepy Hollow
09:07 Fact meets fiction in this genre-defying mashup.
09:10 Even though these teams are years apart, they make a surprisingly formidable alliance,
09:22 at least once the time travel is explained. The supernatural elements, or lack thereof,
09:27 are a delightful source of comedy as the casts get to know each other. The twisted mystery keeps the
09:32 pace brisk as the newly formed gang navigates monsters, each other, and, of course, some bones.
09:38 Our only complaint is that Ichabod and Abby couldn't stay longer. Though, to be fair,
09:43 it's literally a matter of time until they meet again.
09:55 Number 21. Episode 2.4, Master Slave.AES, Mr. Robot and Alf
10:02 Puppets and cybercrime don't usually go together, but that's kind of the whole point of this trippy
10:06 sequence. A comatose Elliot hallucinates himself inside an 80s sitcom, complete with a stage-like
10:12 setup, a laugh track, and, of course, an appearance from Alf himself.
10:24 But there's nothing nostalgic about this childhood favorites cameo. The
10:28 off-kilter tone of the scene makes even this furry rodent feel deeply unsettling.
10:32 And this bizarre crossover somehow manages to justify the absurdity without abandoning it,
10:37 either. It gets major props for tying this weird excursion into the main story, but more than that,
10:43 for also making Alf, of all characters, relevant in a gritty crime show.
10:47 "Hey, no problem, E-Meister. Give me four.
10:50 Or not."
10:54 Number 20. Ben 10, Generator Rex, Heroes United, Ben 10, Ultimate Alien, and Generator Rex.
11:01 In the early 2010s, Ben 10 and Generator Rex were two of the biggest names in Cartoon Network's
11:06 sci-fi action department. These transforming teenagers are cut from the same cloth in many
11:10 respects. "Maybe we can help each other."
11:16 "You'd do that?"
11:17 One can take on different alien forms, while the other can sprout weapons and gadgets from
11:22 his body on a whim. When these heroes finally united, their styles and powers could not have
11:27 meshed better. "Any idea what it smells like in there, dude? I'm sure you can handle a little
11:34 Arborean musk to save your nuts and bolts, dude." Nevertheless, Ben and Rex initially get off on
11:40 the wrong foot, which you'll find is a trope in crossover episodes. The two eventually team up,
11:44 however, to stop Alpha Nanite, which Rex's brother Caesar created. "Your machine is most
11:50 interesting. Perhaps within I can find a suitable host." The special more than delivers on its
11:56 potential with inventive action, slick animation, and some effective voiceover work from Michael
12:01 Emerson as Alpha.
12:03 Number 19. Rufus, Lilo & Stitch the series, and Kim Possible.
12:08 "It's a small world, after all," is a phrase that Lilo and Stitch know all too well.
12:12 And not merely because they're under the Disney umbrella. "Aloha, Lilo. I'm Penny Proud. That's a
12:18 cute... *bark* a dog, did you say?" The two practically invaded the Disney Channel at one
12:25 point, meeting up with Jake Long, the Proud family, and the Recess Gang. "You are Possible Kim, no?"
12:30 "No, I mean, well, yes, am Possible Kim. Why are we talking like this?" Their most memorable
12:37 close encounter, however, would have to be with Kim Possible. When Dr. Drackon captures Stitch,
12:42 Kim is on the case. Although Lilo is not about to sit this mission out,
12:46 aliens surprisingly feel right at home in this super spy world of Kim and company.
12:50 "No, no, no, what's the 'Sitch'? It's like a catchphrase." "Stitch isn't a catchphrase. He's my
12:56 friend." The jokes practically write themselves. Most notably when Lilo mistakes the word 'Sitch'
13:01 for 'Stitch'. Jumba, meanwhile, mistakes Rufus for Experiment 607, which amounts to arguably
13:07 the episode's funniest running gag. Number 18. Phineas and Ferb, Mission Marvel, Phineas and
13:13 Ferb, and the Marvel Universe. "Ferb, are you expecting someone?" "Not them." The episode
13:20 Phineas and Ferb, Mission Marvel, is one of the most randomly awesome crossovers to come out of
13:25 Disney since Kingdom Hearts. "Man, that kid's got a weird shaped head." Phineas and Ferb and the
13:30 Avengers have little in common other than their all-powerful owner. Nevertheless, this is a truly
13:35 well-assembled special with jokes that appeal to Phineas and Ferb fans and Marvel fans alike.
13:40 "But I am Red Skull." "Yes, yes you are. You know, you really should, you son black,
13:46 you're burned down to the bone." As the de-powered superheroes partner with Phineas and Ferb to stop
13:50 the Marvel baddies, highlights include the menacing Red Skull interacting with the bumbling
13:54 Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Perry the Platypus posing as a Howard the Duck look-alike, and of course,
13:59 a hella catchy song. "Hey, Duck Guy, thanks for the rescue. Do we tip him?" "He's not parking our
14:05 car. I just don't know the etiquette." Number 17. Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself and Leahy vs.
14:11 the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. Innocent or guilty,
14:16 you are guaranteed a get-out-of-jail-free card when Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating join forces.
14:21 "You said you left on good terms that I was a problem with this case, but really it's you.
14:25 You lied to me." "Can you give us a minute?" A crossover event that every TGIT fan had
14:32 dreamed of, the evening kicked off with scandal as Annalise tracked down Olivia to assist with
14:36 a class action. "If you lose this case, it'll set criminal justice reform back decades." "You don't
14:43 think I know that?" "Then think about accepting some help." The Shonda-verse suddenly felt a lot
14:48 bigger watching these two strong-willed women trying to out-monologue each other. Despite some
14:52 early turbulence, Olivia and Annalise form a genuine friendship, which carries over to the
14:56 subsequent episode of How to Get Away with Murder. "This is a money issue, one that the legislature
15:02 of Pennsylvania can decide." "Except this case is not only about money, your honor. It's about race."
15:09 This is where the crossover really heats up as the two take their case to the Supreme Court.
15:13 The case in question is a deeply personal and poignant one pertaining to racism, culminating
15:18 in a powerful courtroom speech from Annalise. "Some may claim that slavery has ended,
15:24 but tell that to the inmates who are kept in cages and told that they don't have any rights at all."
15:29 Number 16. The Night Shift and Homecoming, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl. New Girl met New York
15:35 during its sixth season, paving the way for both a sitcom crossover and an SUV crossover. "NYPD!
15:41 NYPD! I need to commandeer this vehicle." "It's a crossover! It's a crossover SUV and you can't
15:48 have it." "I'm a cop." Of all the vehicles in The Big Apple, Jake Peralta just so happens to
15:53 commandeer Jessica Day's. Well, technically it's Schmidt's mom's car, which winds up wrecked and
15:58 covered in soup. "Damn it! You got away!" "Well, I spilled my soup. You tell me which is worse."
16:04 "My thing!" Jake and Jess's priceless banter is the highlight of this crossover event,
16:08 but the fun doesn't end there. As Jake continues to pursue his perp, Jess makes her way to the
16:13 Nine-Nine, where Gina subjects her to a mountain of paperwork. "This is an application to join the
16:19 NYPD softball team." "You think I like sitting here handing you form after form?" "Kind of."
16:24 "You're right. I do." As chaotic as Jess's trip turns out to be, her perception of the city is
16:30 altered thanks to a little guidance from Captain Holt, who also gives her some soup for her trouble.
16:35 "New York wasn't kicking my ass. It was nudging it gently in the right direction.
16:41 Just like you are right now." "Yes." Number 15. That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana.
16:49 That's So Raven. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana. Long before the Avengers
16:55 assembled on the big screen, this was the Disney crossover that had every kid talking.
17:00 "Put your arms out!" "Why?" "Just do it!" "Of course I'll do it."
17:03 The Disney Channel's first live-action crossover commenced with That's So Raven.
17:09 As the titular psychic drops by the Tipton Hotel, she naturally crosses paths with Zack and Cody,
17:15 who help Raven pull off a photo shoot. "How does it feel to be in America?" "No! I may not speak
17:23 to the boys. They do not speak the same English as you. They speak another form of language."
17:28 Raven tries to return the favor in the crossover's second act, although her visions cannot prevent a
17:34 disastrous surprise party. The crossover ends with Hannah Montana checking into the Tipton,
17:39 rounding out an awesome ensemble piece with no shortage of laughs and music. The Disney Channel
17:44 universe continued to expand three years later when the Wizards of Waverly Place wound up on
17:48 deck with Zack, Cody, and Hannah. Number 14. iParty with Victorious. iCarly and Victorious.
17:55 Some have argued that social media drives people apart, but it brings the iCarly crew and the
18:01 students of Hollywood Arts High School together in this Nickelodeon crossover. "When I typed in
18:05 Steven Carson, this picture of my Steven came up tagged with his name." "Darn, who's she?"
18:10 While online, Carly begins to suspect that her boyfriend Steven has been two-timing her with
18:16 Tori Vega. Traveling from Seattle to LA, Carly and her friends collaborate with Tori to serve
18:20 up some highly satisfying justice. "It's not her fault. We're both victims." "Yeah, but I mean-"
18:27 "I'm not gonna beat her with a sock full of butter!" Steven's comeuppance is just one of
18:32 the crossover's many highlights. As Sinjin lands face-first in a jacuzzi, Sam bests Rex in a rap
18:37 battle, and Kenan Thompson is harassed by a panda. Of course, a crossover of this magnitude had to
18:43 build to a musical number, and "Leave It All to Shine" brings together the best of both worlds.
18:59 Number 13. The Grim Adventures of the KND, codename Kids Next Door, and The Grim Adventures
19:05 of Billy and Mandy. When Billy slashes his father's lucky pants with Grim's scythe, he turns
19:10 to a certain group of problem-fixing kids, Ed, Edd, and Eddie. "If you're looking for charity, call Kids
19:16 Next Door. They're cheap." The Edds aren't interested, however, and apparently neither are the Powerpuff
19:21 Girls. Thus, it's up to the Kids Next Door to get Billy out of this tight spot. "No, Billy, you're in
19:26 the way of my world domination, so I'm taking you down." "Oh, okay. Then let's fight!" With one show grounded in
19:35 the supernatural and the other revolving around espionage, this might seem like an odd pairing.
19:39 There's actually an interesting link between these two shows, though. "Our attacks aren't working!"
19:44 "It's those pants! I know those pants!" Both won the Big Pick, a contest in which viewers would vote on
19:52 what new Cartoon Network show will be picked up. So it's only fitting that these two winners finally
19:56 came together, with some other Cartoon Network cameos thrown in for good measure.
20:00 Number 12. Shellshocked, Power Rangers in Space, and Ninja Turtles, The Next Mutation. In the 90s,
20:07 the Power Rangers and the TMNT were two of the most marketable kid-friendly franchises.
20:12 "Even if they did exist, why would we want to destroy them?" "Because, as of now, you work for me."
20:22 "I don't think so." And these martial arts series finally collided in the sixth season Power Rangers
20:27 episode Shellshocked, where the heroes in a half-shell are brainwashed by Astronema and turn
20:32 evil. "You want Rangers? You gotta go through turtles." "Mutants!" "Well, at least you got that right!"
20:38 As you can imagine, they come out of it and partner with the Rangers to battle the manipulative
20:42 Princess of Evil. "What are those things? I can't believe it, but I think they're..." "It's the Teenage
20:47 Mutant Ninja Turtles!" Through adult eyes, this crossover might seem bizarre, cheesy, or just dumb.
20:54 But the eight-year-old in all of us cannot help but be sucked in, seeing two of the defining
20:58 things from our childhoods kicking ass side by side. "There's something I really would like to do,
21:03 just once, before I go." "Name it."
21:17 Number 11. Crisis on Infinite Earths. Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow,
21:23 Batwoman, and more. Whew, talk about a lineup. The CW spent nearly a decade assembling a justice
21:29 league of sorts on the small screen, and it paid off with one of the most ambitious crossovers of
21:34 all time. "Holy all-star squadron. Hi, hi, how are you? Ralph Dibny, elongated man,
21:40 ready to help kick butt." "Ignore him, it's his first crossover." A staggering five shows joined
21:45 forces for one epic, supersized saga. And they weren't even the only ones. The multiversal
21:51 storyline allowed cameos from every corner of the DC universe. And the scale of the conflict
21:56 is totally worth the effort. "He sacrificed everything for this new world, and we will not
22:02 fail him. We will not fail this world." High-stakes action and a truly outstanding roster of
22:08 characters makes this feel like a comic book in the best way possible. This is more than a love
22:13 letter to the Arrowverse. It is a celebration of everything DC does best. Number 10. I,
22:20 Dunn, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Different Strokes, and The Jeffersons. The final episode
22:25 of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air not only saw the departure of the Banks family, but also the return
22:29 of some other beloved TV families. "Champagne!" "Oh, great, I love champagne." With the Bel-Air
22:38 mansion up for sale, several familiar faces dropped by for the Banks' open house in the
22:42 episode "I, Dunn." "Come on, shake a leg. We gotta get rid of that Universal tour and see the backdraft
22:47 ride." "Oh, then you should probably leave now before the fire goes out." "Oh, believe me, Will,
22:52 the fire went out a long time ago." Over 10 years after going off the air, Arnold, Jackson, and Mr.
22:59 Drummond from Different Strokes reappear to check out the home and deliver some classic one-liners.
23:03 "At night, you can hear the wailing of the dead." "Who you talking about, Will?"
23:12 The Banks' residence ultimately goes to George and Louise Jefferson, though,
23:17 who are ready to move on up again. "We have a buyer!" "A couple, The Jeffersons."
23:24 9. Stephanie Gets Framed, Full House, and Family Matters
23:30 Steve Urkel not only stole the show on Family Matters, but also this episode of Full House.
23:36 In San Francisco for a science fair, an unwelcome Urkel visits the Tanner household. It only takes
23:46 a couple of minutes of cheese talk until Jesse and Danny decide that they've had enough.
24:01 After he teaches Michelle about money matters, Urkel does pass on some insightful advice to
24:06 Stephanie, who is insecure about her new glasses, which she never wears again anyway.
24:10 The only downside? Why didn't Urkel and Kimmy Gibbler share any scenes?
24:24 They were totally meant for each other.
24:26 8. Simpsorama, The Simpsons, and Futurama
24:30 The Simpsons has made several references to Futurama and vice versa.
24:33 "Fight my shiny metal ass!" "A robot with a catchphrase!"
24:37 With exception to a 2010 comic, though, these two Matt Groening cartoons had yet to experience a
24:42 crossover of this scale. Homer and Bender quickly find that they have a lot in common,
24:46 even sharing an uncanny resemblance. "The guy who designed Bender just took a drawing of Dad
24:51 and stuck an antenna on it. A little lazy if you ask me."
24:56 This makes things awkward when Bender remembers that he's been sent to take
25:00 out Homer in Terminator fashion. "But we both together."
25:04 "Oh, I can't do it." Can they prevent a frantic future while also preserving their friendship?
25:11 The episode is exceedingly well-written, with clever nods to both shows,
25:15 including a revealing meeting between Lurr and Kang and Kodos.
25:19 "Perhaps the one of you that is female should go console her."
25:21 The whole crossover plays out like an extended Treehouse of Horror segment,
25:26 throwing out the Simpsons rulebook and just having fun with a creative setup.
25:30 #7 Scooby-Natural, Supernatural, and the Scooby-Doo Franchise
25:36 "Hey gang, what do you say we give this guy a lift?"
25:38 "Jinkies?" Scooby-Doo has crossed paths with pretty much everyone, from Johnny Bravo to Batman.
25:45 "He's not showing them the machinery, he's tossing them into it."
25:48 "The Green Hornet may possess the only clue to this baffling case."
25:51 Speaking of which, the caped crusader has had his own fair share of mind-blowing crossovers,
25:55 including one with the Green Hornet. As far as crime-solving team-ups go though,
25:59 how can you top the Winchesters meeting the OG Scooby gang?
26:03 "Dean, what just..." "Ahh! You're a cartoon! I'm a cartoon!"
26:09 Sam and Dean get animated in this lovingly crafted crossover,
26:12 which centers on the classic Scooby-Doo episode "A Night of Fright is No Delight".
26:16 "A Night of Fright is No Delight." "What?"
26:19 "That's the episode we're in. I've seen it like a million times."
26:22 This familiar mystery takes an unexpected turn when bloody bodies start piling up,
26:26 leading to some hilarious mature jokes that you wouldn't normally find in a Saturday morning cartoon.
26:32 "Great working with you, Velma." "You too, Sam."
26:42 "Those shoulders." Nevertheless, Dean is determined to maintain the purity of his childhood icons,
26:48 although he still tries to get lucky with Daphne.
26:50 Before Lisa Kudrow landed her iconic role as Phoebe Buffay on "Friends",
26:59 she was best known for playing the ditzy waitress Ursula on "Mad About You".
27:02 "How come you work in here?" "Right, yeah, 'cause it's close to where I live,
27:06 and the aprons are really cute." Since both shows were airing around the same time,
27:10 the producers decided to make the characters twin sisters.
27:13 "I think Ursula likes me. All I ordered was coffee.
27:16 She brought me a tuna melt and four plates of curly fries."
27:19 Confusion ensues on the "Friends" episode "The One with Two Parts"
27:22 as Joey meets and falls for Ursula, and Jamie, Buckman and Fran encounter Phoebe.
27:26 "Excuse me?" "Yeah."
27:28 "Hi, it's us."
27:30 "Right, and it's me."
27:39 "So, so you're here too." If that's not enough must-see TV crossover action for you,
27:43 this extended episode also features two cute doctors played by George Clooney and Noah Wiley,
27:48 who hit it big that year on "ER".
27:51 "Aren't you a little cute to be a doctor?" "Excuse me?"
27:53 "I meant, God, young, young. I meant young, young to be a doctor. Oh, good, Rach. Thank you. Right."
28:00 This wasn't the first time a larger universe was hinted at,
28:03 as both sitcoms were also part of NBC's 1994 "Blackout Thursday" event.
28:08 "The entire city is blacked out. Mom says it's all of Manhattan,
28:12 parts of Brooklyn and Queens, and they have no idea when it's coming back on."
28:15 Number 5. The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour.
28:17 The adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius and The Fairly Oddparents.
28:22 Jimmy Neutron's world is governed by science. Timmy Turner's world is governed by magic.
28:27 "We have to be careful." "That's probably because you're imperfect prototypes."
28:32 "Well, she might not be perfect, but she's the one who said yes."
28:37 In the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour, these Nickelodeon icons learn that they aren't as different as we
28:42 might imagine, with science projects and fairies and mistaken identity is the order of the day.
28:47 "We're not going anywhere, Turner. Now that I have this magic pen, I am!"
28:54 "Magic? Are you nuts? There's no such thing as magic."
29:00 With one series utilizing traditional animation and the other employing computer-generated
29:04 animation, this TV movie has leeway for a lot of inventive imagery.
29:08 "Hey, what are you doing in Fairy World?"
29:10 "Well, some lunatic sucked me into your computer simulation."
29:14 "What lunatic?"
29:15 Seeing Jimmy and Timmy out of their comfort zones particularly makes for some inspired comedy,
29:23 as they attempt to return home and restore order to the Tooniverse.
29:27 "Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius." "Timmy Turner, Boy!"
29:32 "Thanks for saving my dog."
29:33 Number 4. The Time Ball Saga. Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, You Wish, and Teen Angel.
29:40 For the 97-98 season, ABC was desperate to carry over the success of Sabrina and Boy
29:46 Meets World to its new TGIF shows. "I don't feel so good. Maybe I should have chewed that thing.
29:52 I'm too full to lick myself, so maybe I should just watch a little TV."
29:58 That's how this four-way crossover originated. The story saw Sabrina's black cat swallow a
30:02 time ball in the first show of the night. "You know, I wonder what it was like during World War
30:06 II." "And away we go!" For the rest of the evening, Salem ran through the other sitcoms,
30:11 thrusting them into new and exciting eras. "I'm having a blast. We don't have to go to class.
30:16 Everyone hates Libby, and except for the fact that a few people smell, this era rocks."
30:20 Sabrina traveled to the 60s, Boy Meets World went to World War II,
30:24 You Wish was in the 50s, and Teen Angel ended up dancing disco.
30:28 "Wanna do the bump?" "I think in any decade the answer would be no."
30:32 An ambitious crossover, yes. It's up to you to decide if it succeeded.
30:37 "Now that the war's over, what are you gonna do about Topanga?"
30:39 "I'm gonna pop the question all over again." "You got moxie, kid."
30:44 Number 3. X-Cops. The X-Files and Cops. "We got a report of somebody lurking around
30:50 the neighborhood making noise. Actually, I take that back. We got a report of a...
30:56 monster?" The X-Files is widely considered one of the most influential sci-fi shows ever to hit
31:01 the airwaves. People sometimes forget, however, that when the X-Files wanted to be funny,
31:06 it could also be one of television's best comedies. It's no wonder Mulder and Scully
31:10 fit in so well with The Simpsons. "Are we alone in the universe? Impossible. When you consider
31:15 the wonders that exist all around us. Voodoo Priests of Haiti, the Tibetan Numerologists
31:19 of Appalachia, the unsolved mysteries of... unsolved mysteries." Of all the satirical
31:25 X-Files episodes, X-Cops stands out due to its craft and concept. Even if you've never seen an
31:30 episode of Cops, chances are you're familiar with its premise and tropes. "So you're saying that the
31:35 wasp man attacked you both times, here and earlier in the patrol car?" "I'm not saying that that's
31:41 what it was." This episode pokes fun at all of these reality television conventions, but at the
31:46 same time manages to tell an involving story full of mystery and dread. "You're a damn sheriff's
31:51 deputy wet so don't be afraid now. And you're on national television so cowboy up!" Even when
31:57 playing with different genres, X-Files doesn't stray too far from its roots. Number two, The
32:02 Simpsons Guy, Family Guy and The Simpsons. "Aha, intellectual theft. What do you have to say about
32:08 that, Griffin? Go!" There was so much hype leading up to this Family Guy episode that it's not
32:14 surprising the initial viewer response was mixed. But The Simpsons Guy is truly a classic in the
32:19 making that delivers everything one could want from a Family Guy/Simpsons crossover. "Oh my god
32:24 that was great!" The Griffins trip to Springfield provides one great laugh after another, full of
32:29 awe-inspired animation and ingenious references. "You lived in Springfield?" "Yeah, I worked at the
32:34 Quakey Mart researching a role." The best part is just seeing these classic characters interact.
32:39 As Bart raises hell with Stewie, James Woods meets James Woods and Homer chicken fights Peter.
32:45 "Worst chicken fight ever!" Oh and Fred Flintstone calls everybody out as a rip-off. "If you ask me,
32:52 neither of these beers is wholly original. They're both pale imitations of my favorite beer, Bud Rock."

33:14 Number 1. The Jetsons meet the Flintstones. The Jetsons and the Flintstones. "Hold still, Dino!"
33:20 While Hanna-Barbera wasn't the first studio to experiment with crossovers,
33:31 the 1987 TV movie The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones certainly popularized the concept.
33:36 "How about that, Fred? I never heard a tin can talk before."
33:39 It's actually surprising Hanna-Barbera took so long to bring television's definitive prehistoric
33:51 family and ultimate futuristic family together. "Now, son, I know this is difficult for you."
33:57 "Heck no, he's doing all the work." "At last, somebody who appreciates me."
34:03 They completely delivered, however, in a blast from the future and the past,
34:07 made possible by Elroy Jetson's time machine. "What is it?" "It's my time travel machine."
34:13 "You're right, I don't believe it works." "Then how do you explain this?"
34:17 This union of cartoon royalty offers a lot of the creative comedic scenarios both shows were known
34:24 for, as well as loads of heart. "Ow!" "Don't hold food over the pigasaurus disposal." "Was that Jane?"
34:32 Over 30 years later, it is still the crossover to beat all crossovers. Which of these crossovers
34:38 was your absolute favorite? Let us know in the comments below. "We're on our way."
34:43 "We can't wait to get home." "Come on, George." "Bye, Fred. Bon." "So long, Wilma. Bye, Betty."
34:52 "See you around, Reno." "Bye." "Bye."
