Here I prepare a plaster-aluminum Thermite reaction.
The mixture is
108 gr aluminum powder and
204 gr of white plaster powder.
The simpliest and cheapest plaster U can
get in any hardware store.
For example this plaster U need to fill the spaces after
mounting dry-wall panels.
I did NOT heat up the paster powder to get rid of the crystal-water in it
(CaSO4 * 1/2H2O)
USE DRY POWDER of course. Dont buy any ready
mixtures filled up with sand or so.
Forget about any oxidizers and dealers askin'
what U wanna do with it.
The container for the mixture has been the
EMPTY tube of an old German military smoke grenade for exercise purpose.
But U can use any other cans and paper-rolls as well, of course.
At the end of the reaction U can see a "nugget" consisting of Aluminum and Al-oxide from the aluminum tube, which is still red-hot glowing.
