Actor Len Lesser, best know for his role as "Uncle Leo" on Seinfeld, passed away at the age of 88 from cancer-related pneumonia.

SEINFELD'S BELOVED UNCLE LEO HAS DIED...

LEN LESSER, WHO WAS BEST KNOWN AS JERRY'S UNCLE ON THE HIT TV SHOW, DIED FROM CANCER-RELATED PNEUMONIA AT HIS HOME IN BURBANK, CALIFORNIA.
BACK IN 1998, LESSER TOLD THE LOS ANGELES TIMES THIS ABOUT HIS FAMED CHARACTER, "He's the kind of guy who is a total nuisance at times and the kind of guy you avoid. He's a very expansive character, and that has an attraction to it."

LESSER'S DAUGHTER, MICHELE, SAID IN A STATEMENT, "Heaven got a great comedian and actor today. Thank you to all the people who helped make my father's last journey special, and surrounded with love. His passing was peaceful, with great dignity, and surrounded by those who loved him dearly."

LEN LESSER WAS 88.
