00:25 As part of a great plan of rewilding Argentina, our legacy group here,
00:31 they are working to release two new jaguars here where we are tonight
00:37 in Impenetrable National Park in the Chaco province of Argentina.
00:43 We have to remember that where jaguars are reintroduced, that creates really
00:51 a corridor highway for all the other species that need to be able to move around.
00:57 So as these corridors grow, so does the optimism and the future for this emblematic species
01:04 and many more that come in under its legs.
01:07 The Chaco region as an ecosystem is second only to the Amazon, and it's one of the largest
01:17 but most damaged ecosystems on earth. So there's a lot of effort and focus
01:24 trying to stop that trend, restore what you can, and also bring back species that have gone missing.
01:33 It's no secret that the extinction crisis of biodiversity is upon us,
01:40 and for the last 30 years we've been trying to play a role
01:43 in not only protecting large landscapes, but also making sure that the species
01:50 inside these big areas are present. And in many cases, and especially up here
01:55 in northern Argentina, that's often not the case.
01:59 So our work has been to join thousands around the world who are very specifically bringing back
02:08 species who've gone missing. The jaguar, ocelots, pampas deer, giant anteaters,
02:17 giant river otters, the list is very long. The way mole deer in Chile and Argentina,
02:24 and the list goes on. So wherever we work, it's not just to protect land,
02:30 it is to be part of the worldwide effort to make sure that those who are missing
02:37 have the opportunity to come home.
