00:00 Jim Parsons is revealing what it was like reprising his Big Bang Theory role for the Young Sheldon series finale.
00:05 Parsons and Mayim Bialik will both appear in the prequel's final episode, which is set to air May 16th on CBS.
00:12 The episode will mark the first time the two stars have reunited on screen since the Big Bang Theory ended in May 2019.
00:18 During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Parsons said this about returning to the role of Sheldon Cooper.
00:23 "It was even more beautiful than I expected it to be.
00:25 One of the reasons I was so excited to do it is because what they wrote is so sweet,
00:30 and I think they worked Mayim and I into that show so beautifully. I hope everyone agrees."
00:34 Though the actor has been a part of Young Sheldon as the show's narrator and executive producer for its seven-season run,
00:39 he admitted that it took some time to get back into his former character's headspace before filming.
00:44 He said, "We just finished our first read-through. We didn't tape it.
00:46 We just went in and felt around the set, and Mayim nailed it when she walked back and said,
00:50 'Uh, I thought I'd feel a lot more confident than this.' I said, 'Me too.'"
00:54 He continued, "I really thought it'd be like putting on a pair of old shoes,
00:57 and then eventually it was, but not for about an hour or so.
01:00 And I was like, 'Do I still know how to talk like this?' It was weird."
