00:00 Hi, I'm Liz Thompson, I'm the Environment and Sustainability Manager at the University of Derby.
00:05 So today we've organised a big community littering along the river by the Museum of Maiden in Derby
00:12 and this is in collaboration with various local groups, the University, Derby College,
00:19 we're basically looking to clean up the city of Derby and it's all part of our Go Green League.
00:26 So Max, you're here for the big Derby cleanup, what are your thoughts on the day?
00:30 Well we shouldn't really have to be here, it'd be nice if everyone had the education to
00:34 not litter and to not fill our rivers with plastic waste but over 100 people have come today which is
00:39 phenomenal and it's really reassuring actually. I think the next generation, the younger people,
00:44 they've really understood climate change, they don't like to see plastic pollution in our rivers
00:49 and our seas and our oceans so yeah it's really quite reassuring but heartbreaking at the same time.
00:54 Thank you.
00:55 Thank you.
