00:07 The Roadhouse has massive scope,

00:09 amazing fight sequences,

00:11 and a great sense of humor.

00:13 Is that one in front of you?

00:14 No, I just broke his arm.

00:16 We are making a film that is going to be so much fun.

00:19 ♪♪

00:21 We wanted to shoot a fight like it's never been shot before.

00:25 It required that we get somebody who could actually fight.

00:28 So we got UFC fighter Conor McGregor.

00:32 I'm notorious for a reason.

00:34 I got a tip for you.

00:37 Don't let no one get this close.

00:39 [Grunts]

00:41 This is a straight-to-fight, raw fighting movie.

00:43 To do something like this, you'd be better off

00:45 doing it with someone like me who's skilled in it.

00:48 I am grateful to be working with him

00:50 and also equally terrified.

00:52 I don't want to see clean technique here.

00:54 I want to see chaos.

00:56 I want to see people barbaric.

00:58 [Grunting]

01:02 We were looking at hundreds of videos of real fights,

01:04 bar fights, and watching what it looks like to take a real hit.

01:08 How could we put that in the movie

01:09 and still let me work the next day

01:12 and have a face that's usable?

01:13 Boom!

01:15 And so we came up with a whole new technique,

01:16 which is an A-B-C-D pass,

01:19 which is like four shots blended together.

01:20 [Grunts]

01:22 First, I have the person throw the punch.

01:24 The second pass, I have the person

01:26 have a big red pad in their hand

01:28 and, at the same timing, hit as hard as they can.

01:30 The third pass, the hand hitting the pad for real.

01:33 And then the final pass is just a blank background pass

01:35 with nothing in the foreground

01:36 so you can blend all those shots together.

01:38 [Grunting]

01:40 The style of the fighting was so unique and so different,

01:43 it was glorious.

01:44 [Grunting]

01:47 These fights are unlike anything you've ever seen.

01:50 ♪♪

01:53 Tell me about this bouncer.

01:54 [Grunts]

01:55 Jack's all nice and shit,

01:56 but he beats the living shit out of you,

01:57 so really interesting guy.
