00:00 Okay, so here we have Karl Baker and we have Amir Khan, also known as Killah from Brendan Ingle's gym.
00:06 The Brendan Ingle boys and they've come down today just to show appreciation for Brendan and some of the boys that have come together.
00:12 So, Karl, we're going to start with you. What's your fondest memory of when you were at Brendan's gym and your fondest memory when you was with Brendan?
00:22 The fondest memory in the gym is everyone that was in there. That's what made the gym for me. Walking, atmosphere, we'd bang on every single time.
00:34 There was no issues with anyone. We all got on. Some people went a little bit hard in sparring, not saying who, but other than that, everyone got on.
00:44 It was like a family in the gym. It was such a nice place. Most memorable bit with Brendan, second fight, boxing leads.
00:54 I actually think it's the one that beat me. Can't remember his name.
00:58 You beat me once and I beat him twice.
01:01 Yeah, so we know who it is. End of the first round, I wasn't doing what I was told. That's it.
01:06 I wasn't doing what I was told. Sat on the stool. Brendan was shouting at me in front of everyone.
01:14 But then the ring card girl walked past and she was wearing the seafood dress.
01:18 And I kind of lost focus for a second while she was walking around. And all of a sudden, I got this slap across the face in front of everyone.
01:27 And you can hear the slap as well because it's still in my head. Ears are still ringing from it.
01:32 It was Brendan telling me, "You need to focus. You need to go out. You need to do this. You need to get rid of this kid."
01:36 Next round, went out, straight left and over. Back to the corner.
01:42 Brendan was back in his nice, cheerful mood again. The job was done.
01:47 And the valuable lesson from that fight, because you learn from every single thing, do not get distracted by ring card girls.
01:53 They are there for the ring and the card. The walk around, that is it.
01:58 You don't look, you don't win.
02:01 Okay, last question.
02:04 If you had 30 seconds with Brendan, what would be the thing you would say to him now?
02:10 I don't know if I could do it in 30 seconds, I'll be honest with you.
02:13 There's so much because we used to spend most nights, they'd take us for a steam and a sauna.
02:19 And we'd sit in there for hours. We'd all be sat in the sauna or the steam room.
02:23 And we'd all be looking at each other thinking we're melting here.
02:26 We didn't want to get out, but no one wanted to get out. We just sat there listening to Brendan talk over and over again.
02:32 Even people in the hotels would sit in there and just listen to Brendan talk.
02:36 So to be honest, I probably wouldn't ask him anything.
02:39 I'd want him to sit and just talk again like it was back in those days.
02:44 That's beautiful. Thank you, God.
02:47 Okay, Killer. Fondest memory in the Winker Bank gym?
02:52 There's just so many that it's hard to nail down to one particular thing.
02:56 But I got excluded from school once and I came into the gym and Brendan said, "How's school?"
03:01 And I went, "Oh, brilliant, Brendan." He said, "Are you sure?"
03:03 I went, "Yeah, yeah." He said, "Mr. H."
