00:32 Welcome to our segment of goodness.
00:37 Who is our guest today?
00:39 Yes, some institutions, some personalities, some people are such that I think
00:46 we get a lot of courage from their presence in this segment.
00:51 We feel very honored.
00:53 No introduction is needed.
00:55 The organization, the institution we are going to talk about today, Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan.
01:01 We know that whether it is floods, any kind of disaster in Pakistan,
01:04 outside Pakistan, any kind of help is needed.
01:07 Not only that, Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan has set many records of service to humanity,
01:11 but also on a global level, Alhamdulillah,
01:13 it has become a source of strong and positive recognition of Pakistan.
01:17 Al Khidmat Foundation, with us is Professor Dr. Hafizur Rehman.
01:22 Thank you so much for your presence.
01:26 The truth is that there is no need for any introduction or introduction in terms of Al Khidmat.
01:32 We are all familiar with it.
01:34 We may be from a language speaking community or from a religion,
01:38 but Al Khidmat, Alhamdulillah, we have seen it above everything.
01:42 So, the journey of its establishment from 1990 till now,
01:47 if you could shed some light on how challenging this journey was,
01:52 and what is the vision of Al Khidmat in the future?
01:55 Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
01:57 First of all, thank you.
01:59 Thank you, brother, for giving us this opportunity.
02:04 In fact, you know that Pakistan is a poor country.
02:10 And because of poverty, when someone's buying power is low,
02:16 then first of all, education is taken out of his priority.
02:21 And then treatment is also taken out of his priority.
02:25 Two meals a day or maybe one meal a day is limited.
02:29 Keeping that in mind, I think we have not raised an NGO, but a movement.
02:35 Now see that there are 2.62 million children in the country who do not go to school.
02:44 Obviously, they don't go because of poverty.
02:46 Now, taking them to school is not the capacity of any NGO.
02:50 In that, we said that who can be more vulnerable among them?
02:53 Who can be more deserving?
02:55 So, among them, we saw that 4.6 million children are poor, but also orphans.
03:00 Half of them are deserving.
03:03 We targeted them to address them and make a system of their security.
03:09 And you know that where there are orphans, there are widows too.
03:14 There is another segment, those children who are garbage pickers,
03:20 who roam around the city and look for their livelihood from garbage.
03:24 Obviously, their parents cannot feed them, cannot sell them school.
03:28 Keeping all this in mind, Al-Khidmat Foundation decided that there is a hadith too,
03:34 that the security of orphans, the attainment of heaven, the kindness of the Prophet,
03:40 so why not address this segment first.
03:44 So when we started this for your information,
03:46 we made a list of orphans to keep them with us.
03:50 We started it from the beginning.
03:52 Allah blessed it because those who made it decided that
03:56 we will keep these orphans on the level on which we keep our children.
04:02 What to say.
04:03 Allah liked this.
04:05 And as a result, 2nd, 3rd and now 22th of August are being celebrated.
04:11 8 new ones are being made.
04:13 But then we thought that this is not enough.
04:15 We should start another program of orphan care.
04:19 So we started the family support program of the orphanage.
04:23 So that we can inform people that these children who live on your left and right,
04:28 and do not go to school in the morning, but go to a workshop,
04:32 and are washing their hands and face under my car and yours,
04:36 or when I leave a hotel after eating, they are cleaning my table.
04:40 This is our responsibility.
04:42 So to awaken the whole nation, we made an organization that you sponsor them.
04:47 We will take these children to school through ERP,
04:50 will educate them, will do all the work.
04:53 When we started this work, it was also very blessed.
04:56 It was blessed because those who started it, they committed first
05:01 that I am the sponsor of one child, I did 5, I did 10.
05:04 We started by praying like this.
05:06 So Mr. Iqrar, now, Alhamdulillah, we are providing care for 30,000 children in Pakistan.
05:13 And it is spent 2.5 billion rupees annually.
05:16 And the care is being done as your children are doing.
05:19 Yes, I am talking about only orphans.
05:21 2.5 billion rupees, 30,000 children.
05:23 One special thing in this is that they do not just have to eat,
05:26 do not have to send to school, they groom them in such a way
05:28 that if they go to medical college, engineering college, or university,
05:32 they take them there as well.
05:34 So much so that they are studying in Turkey on scholarship,
05:38 they are reaching the PhD level.
05:40 When this Turkey earthquake happened, I had the opportunity to go there in Ghazi Antep.
05:45 And there, I met the leader of Peshawar, Mr. Iftikhar.
05:52 And the children who were orphans in the Syrian war, or the refugees who were living in Turkey,
05:58 I saw the love of those children from Mr. Iftikhar.
06:01 That he used to take them to dinner every day,
06:03 there was a barbecue in the park.
06:05 I mean, apart from that, he was doing all these things personally.
06:08 So, MashaAllah, there is no other opinion.
06:10 That it is a great thing and we all are doing it.
06:13 If we have a chance today, if you allow me, we will talk about Gaza.
06:18 Alhamdulillah, we saw the number of supplies and aid going under the banner of Al-Khidmat,
06:24 officially from Pakistan.
06:27 Obviously, we all are very saddened by the situation in Gaza.
06:31 If you could tell us a little about how things are working there, what is needed?
06:35 Iftikhar, first try to understand a little.
06:37 I don't go into details, I just tell you a big thing.
06:40 That right now, there are 3,50,000 small children there who are malnutritioned.
06:47 Among them, 50,000 children are those who are severely malnutritioned and are at the verge of death.
06:56 Among them, 30-35 have died.
06:59 This is the biggest scientific fact.
07:01 So, today we are in the 21st century,
07:04 that 30-35 children have died of hunger in Gaza.
07:08 Yes, they have died.
07:09 Along with this, there are 160,000 women who are either on the family way or have just given birth to a child.
07:19 And they don't have two meals to eat.
07:24 They have to take care of the child.
07:26 20,000 children have just been born.
07:29 You can understand what state they must be in.
07:31 And what their condition is at the moment.
07:33 So, looking at all these things, Al-Khidmat Foundation started sending things from day one.
07:39 We have sent 5 chartered aircrafts from Pakistan to Arish.
07:46 Our Ambassador, Sajid Bilal, from Pakistan, received it.
07:50 And through the Egyptian Red Crescent, it was sent to Rafah on a Fos track.
07:56 So, the Rafah crossing is only for the Egyptian Red Crescent?
08:00 Yes, yes.
08:01 Its control is completely with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
08:04 Because we have created this government-to-government route.
08:07 Here in NDM, Pakistan Air Force, we did it with the cooperation of these people.
08:12 That's why it went on a Fos track.
08:13 We also sent a chartered aircraft to Jordan.
08:16 And through Hashemite Foundation, air drops, medicine air drops were sent inside Gaza.
08:22 So, apart from this, we have sent 20 large containers, 40 feet containers, through the ship, which are on the way at the moment.
08:29 But not only this, we also set up a camp office in Cairo,
08:35 we set up a warehouse there, and from there we started packing and sending goods.
08:41 Until now, we have only sent 37 large trucks from there,
08:44 which if you multiply, out of the small trucks, more than 100 trucks are made.
08:49 I have been there twice to send it myself.
08:53 The caravan that we recently sent, it consisted of 20 trucks, it was sent on 10th March.
08:59 It was a package for Ramadan.
09:01 For 15,000 families, we sent a month's worth of food, flour and other things from there.
09:09 If we want to be a little more specific, there is no doubt that there are hospitals, ambulances, education, care for orphaned children,
09:15 the endless programs of service that are going on at the moment.
09:18 But if we narrow it down a little more today,
09:20 now Eid is on the horizon, as you said, on Ramadan Mubarak,
09:24 the children are forced to fast on the floor of their homes,
09:29 we know the state of health, there are no medicines to end the pain,
09:34 and we all saw those scenes that we all become paralyzed.
09:36 So now to make their lives better, those who are watching,
09:39 through the medium of service, what role can we play, how can we join this caravan?
09:45 Look, the truth is that the situation is very bad, there is no doubt about it.
09:49 And their needs are very high.
09:51 The estimate that has been set there at this time,
09:53 I have just attended the International Conference in Kuala Lumpur,
09:57 where people from 28 countries have gathered.
09:59 And post-war, that is, what will be the development after the ceasefire,
10:03 I have participated in it on behalf of Al-Khidmat.
10:06 They have estimated that $50 billion will be needed to rebuild it immediately.
10:12 So much destruction and destruction.
10:14 But Iqrar Bhai, the second thing is that I give you a figure that
10:19 the annual zakat of the Muslim Ummah is $480 billion.
10:24 Therefore, there is no issue for the Muslim Ummah to collect $50 billion.
10:29 Just pay attention to that and it is very important.
10:32 Al-Khidmat, God willing, is working there on behalf of the Pakistanis.
10:36 We are going to plant 30 filtration plants in the post-ceasefire.
10:42 We are going to build a residential complex.
10:45 We are going to own a hospital, which we will rebuild and run, God willing.
10:50 Five, we are going to rehabilitate the school again.
10:53 And apart from this, we are going to send 20 ambulances, God willing,
10:56 which are being built in Turkey at the moment.
10:58 So we are doing all this on behalf of the Pakistani people.
11:03 And the truth is that I thank the Pakistani people
11:06 that we did not even run any campaign for this campaign.
11:09 But they trusted Al-Khidmat Foundation and are giving us money like a sale-off.
11:14 And Alhamdulillah, we have spent two and a quarter billion rupees on it.
11:18 And the rest of the planning, which is more than five billion right now.
11:22 And when this, God willing, will be ceasefire,
11:25 and people will see that this is a representative organization of Pakistan.
11:28 I say this is an organization of Pakistan.
11:30 And right now it is working in Gaza.
11:32 And God willing, their trust level will increase.
11:35 So they will give us enough funds to do our part in rehabilitation.
11:39 God willing, God willing.
11:40 You are absolutely right that it is a representative organization of Pakistan.
11:43 In Turkey, we saw how Al-Khidmat volunteers worked in the rescue.
11:46 That is a matter of great honor.
11:48 You know that Tayyab Erdogan gave Al-Khidmat an award.
11:52 Because our 47 people were there.
11:54 Supreme Sacrifice of Republic of Turkey.
11:56 Yes, absolutely.
11:57 Yes, God willing.
11:58 Alhamdulillah.
11:59 This is the honor of the Pakistani people.
12:01 They trust us and we try to meet their expectations.
12:04 We try to meet their expectations.
12:06 And we try to fulfill their expectations.
12:09 Look at the beauty of this.
12:11 In our Al-Khidmat Foundation,
12:13 there are 1900 office bearers including me.
12:17 Okay.
12:18 That is, you have one head office,
12:20 then there are 9 regions,
12:21 there are 150 cities,
12:22 and the number of office bearers is 1900.
12:25 There are 1900.
12:26 These are all 100% volunteers.
12:28 Allah Akbar.
12:29 Which organization is this?
12:30 That is, there is no administrative cost
12:32 according to the government.
12:33 There is no cost according to the government.
12:34 After that, the workers who are more than 70,000,
12:36 they are also zero.
12:38 They don't have to take anything.
12:39 Yes, there is a managerial staff in the middle,
12:41 full-time, who runs it.
12:43 There are some expenses for that.
12:44 Our admin cost is very low.
12:46 Those who have to operate finance,
12:48 those who have to operate computers,
12:50 offices, Zindabad.
12:51 But the workers and the leaders,
12:53 they are all working with a voluntary basis.
12:55 MashaAllah.
12:56 I mean, I took a leave today and came to you from Peshawar.
13:00 Zindabad.
13:01 Because this message should reach people.
13:03 And I am very grateful to both of you.
13:05 I am grateful to the ARY that,
13:07 InshaAllah, a message will reach the whole nation through you.
13:09 Not just Gaza,
13:10 the work we are doing,
13:12 the work we are doing in health,
13:14 we have 52 hospitals,
13:16 310 ambulances in Pakistan,
13:18 20 ambulances we are sending to Gaza.
13:20 MashaAllah.
13:21 And more than 9 billion is spent on health.
13:23 And for your information,
13:25 this Ramadan is going on,
13:27 and the poor people who do not have food,
13:30 the food we have sent to their homes,
13:32 is about 2.25 billion Gaza food packages for Ramadan.
13:36 What to say, MashaAllah.
13:38 And these things are going on,
13:40 especially because people trust us.
13:42 There is no doubt about it.
13:43 And people trust you because they see you delivering.
13:46 Your good intentions and fearlessness.
13:48 The way you have been a volunteer on the ground,
13:50 even if it is the flood of Pakistan,
13:52 I remember everywhere,
13:53 the work of service was visible.
13:55 In Turkey, I witnessed it with my own eyes.
13:58 And Alhamdulillah, there is no doubt about it,
14:00 that Pakistan's service to humanity,
14:02 is a representative organization,
14:04 so we are thankful to you for coming,
14:06 and we have mentioned a little about the work of service.
14:10 I think that people will get a lot of encouragement and encouragement,
14:13 who are watching right now.
14:14 And InshaAllah, all of us together,
14:16 whatever roles we can play,
14:18 we will definitely play in this journey of service.
14:20 InshaAllah.
14:21 May I give a message?
14:22 Yes, of course.
14:23 The message is simple.
14:24 Look, I am a volunteer.
14:26 And this platform is open to everyone.
14:29 Online, you can become a volunteer for service.

14:38 You can come,
14:39 become a volunteer with us,
14:40 join hands with us.
14:42 If you don't become a volunteer,
14:43 InshaAllah,
14:44 you will go ahead and become an office bearer,
14:46 and you will definitely do it.
14:47 Your team has added one more volunteer.
14:50 I am not here.
14:51 I am here,
14:52 and we will all,
14:53 InshaAllah,
14:54 we will definitely complete this journey of service.
14:56 InshaAllah.
14:57 Thank you very much.
14:58 Many blessings.
14:59 And this is the message of Pakistan,
15:00 that we have to work with all the efforts,
15:06 and we should promote this.
15:07 And this is the message of Al-Khidmat.
15:08 May Allah give us many successes.
15:10 InshaAllah,
15:11 many blessings,
15:12 and let's send off our guest with many claps.
15:14 And let's pray for the journey of Al-Khidmat.
15:16 Keep going, InshaAllah.
15:17 We will come again after the break.
15:19 Thank you very much.
