Morrisons has revealed an acceleration in sales growth for the past quarter amid efforts from new bosses to revitalise the supermarket chain.

00:07 The Bradford-based supermarket chain Morrisons has today updated investors on its first quarter performance.
00:15 In the update, Morrisons says it achieved its strongest quarterly like-for-like sales growth for three years,
00:22 with seven consecutive quarters of like-for-like sales improvements.
00:27 Its total sales, excluding fuel, were ÂŁ3.9 billion, which is an increase of 3.9%.
00:35 It also said that its key customer satisfaction metrics were improving strongly,
00:41 with complaints more than halved in the last 20 weeks.
00:44 It also said that the McCall's conversion programme is nearing completion,
00:48 with more than nine of the ten McCall stores now converted to Morrisons dailies.
00:54 It's an update from the Bradford-based supermarket chain Morrisons,
