Ollerton Town Youtube Campaign

Ollerton Town are hoping that they can get enough votes for popular Youtuber Kevin Chapman of channel lollujo to work with them on his 'Non league to legend' Youtube series.  The underdogs have had a tough 18 months full of challenges and this win would mean happier times down at Walesby Lane.  Report by sports editor Rob Currell of the Newark Advertiser.

00:14 You guys have been through some hardships and to your credit,

00:17 you've continued to keep punching and the community's come together

00:21 in the form of the committee and you've taken the reins with some other young guys

00:25 in support as well.

00:26 And you guys are also very passionate about the club.

00:28 What would this mean to the club in general moving forward?

00:31 Like you said, getting some more exposure and

00:34 what do you say to the community to help get you over the line with the votes?

00:39 >> Yeah, I mean, if you can vote, it'd be great if you can.

00:41 And like I say, it's been really difficult 18 months for us.

00:45 We've been relegated this season, had struggles in the last season.

00:49 It's been really difficult for myself and my team to keep the club going.

00:52 Lots of off-field challenges, lots of struggles.

00:55 This won't fix that.

00:56 It's not gonna be a miracle cure, but what it will be is a bit of positivity,

01:00 bit of good news for us.

01:01 And hopefully that exposure will get some more eyes on Ollardon.

01:05 That will help people come down to watch, help behind the scenes.

01:09 If there's sponsors out there, they might be interested.

01:12 It might be a difference for them.

01:13 So it would make a big difference for us and that's sort of what I wanted to say

01:17 in the video that I submitted.

01:19 And don't suspect some of the other clubs, but they don't need help, really.

01:23 They're doing okay.

01:25 They don't need help as much as we do.

01:27 And yeah, if we could get that exposure, get all our eyes on the club,

01:31 people coming down to watch, sponsors, things like that,

01:34 it would be really big for us.

01:35 It could make a difference moving into next season.

01:38 We've got some plans we're trying to put in place at the minute for next season

01:42 to get things rolling, make sure that happier times,

01:46 the dial of Wales will be laying, but this could really help with that.
