Après un contre-la-montre inaugural animé remporté par Primoz Roglic (BORA-hansgrohe), les coureurs vont faire face ce mardi à la 1ère étape en ligne de ce Tour du Pays basque. Comme la veille, le départ sera donné d'Irun, à la frontière de l'hexagone, avant de se diriger en France, vers Cambo-les-Bains. Une 2e étape qui devrait sourire aux sprinteurs-puncheurs présent sur cette 63e édition de l'Itzulia. Parmi les favoris du jour, on peut noter les Ethan Hayter (INEOS Grenadiers), Quinten Hermans (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Orluis Aular (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA), Alex Aranburu (Movistar Team)... Et pourquoi les leaders qui sont eux aussi rapides comme Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) et le maillot jaune Primoz Roglic (BORA-hansgrohe).
