00:00 Our desires are mostly blind.
00:01 Do we really know why we want what we want?
00:03 Sometimes we follow the crowd.
00:05 Sometimes there is the trend.
00:06 Sometimes there is just pure ignorance,
00:08 an instinct, an impulse arising from the body.
00:11 Or your past, or your experiences,
00:13 or the pressures the society applies on you.
00:15 And you just run after something.
00:17 Be it an educational degree,
00:19 be it a particular type of career,
00:20 a job offer, a thing,
00:22 something in the market,
00:23 a new dress, a new vehicle,
00:24 a new phone, a new gadget.
00:26 We don't even take the pains to understand
00:29 what's going on within.
00:30 Instead, we respond with brevado.
00:33 What? You know, love is blind.
00:34 If you are chasing something
00:36 without knowing what is going on,
00:38 you will very soon find yourself
00:41 out of motivation, exhausted,
00:43 and in a great pile of self-doubt.
00:46 And the result might also be
00:47 then lack of self-worth.
00:50 Because if repeatedly you keep making targets
00:53 and missing them,
00:54 very soon your internal self-image
00:57 becomes one of a loser.
