Unsettled over the next few days with spells of rain which will bring hill snow across Scotland. Sunny intervals too and turning warmer but windier by the weekend.

00:00 Hello there. Early rain on Thursday will soon clear to leave a generally dry day with some
00:10 brighter spells developing, but there will be a few showers around. Clouds will thicken
00:15 from the south west as rain pushes in during the afternoon, and here winds will also pick
00:21 up. On Thursday night, rain will push northwards and eastwards across the country, and as it
00:25 bumps into that colder air across Scotland, it will fall increasingly to snow, mostly
00:30 for the hills but possibly to lower levels at times. On Friday, early rain and hill snow
00:36 will soon clear from Scotland, but another band of rain will push across Northern Ireland
00:40 during the morning before pushing into Scotland during the afternoon. Elsewhere across England
00:45 and Wales it will be mainly dry with periods of sunshine, but there will be a few showers
00:49 around, and here it will also feel mild, especially in that sunshine. Mild air will then be coming
00:55 widespread on Saturday, but it will be breezy and blustery for all with sunny spells, showers
01:01 and a threat of gales.
