Sheffield singer Chanel Yates explains her mum's meeting with Chris Evans

00:05 "I'm gonna manifest meeting Chris Evans outside Virgin Radio on Wednesday in London,

00:09 and I'm gonna give him your music to play on the radio."

00:11 Well like, okay, if you can pull this off, number one stalker award goes to you, okay?

00:16 So Wednesday rolls around, she drives from Sheffield to London to meet Chris Evans after his show.

00:21 Anyway, group chat pings, it's 10 o'clock.

00:24 She's there, she's outside the door, she's like, "I'm here, I've got all entrances covered."

00:29 Like she's on a MI5 mission.

00:31 She's got front entrance, back entrance.

00:33 She knows that he rides his bike to work because he said it once on the radio.

00:36 She's a massive fan.

00:38 And so she's waiting around that area around the back.

00:40 Anyway, she spots him.

00:42 She goes, "Chris!"

00:43 She walks over to him.

00:45 He's like, "Oh, hi, who are you?"

00:47 So she tells him all about everything, all about me.

00:50 And then he says to her, "Go to the local hotel down the road,

00:54 write down in an envelope everything about Chanel, her music, her Instagram, everything, right?

01:00 And I'll play her on the radio."

01:02 And we're like, "Yeah, he's probably not gonna play it, but this is a cool story, right?"

01:06 So she runs down to this local hotel, writes these things down on a piece of paper,

01:14 And then heads out, she sees him again.

01:16 In the morning, she goes, "Oh, hi, bestie."

01:22 And then we're just shocked.

01:25 This morning, I've got a text on the family group chat.

01:29 My mom, obviously, she's listening to Virgin Radio.

01:32 He's only gone and given her a shout out on the radio and played Studio Apartment,

01:40 On the breakfast prime time slot!
