Transcript
00:00 Hi I'm Nikki from Shoahaba City SES. I just want to share a quick reminder with you today
00:05 around the dangers of driving through floodwaters. We are down here on Taylor Road in Albion
00:09 Park which is one of the usual roads that do actually flood unfortunately when it rains
00:14 and we are activated most of the times to a flood rescue because of vehicles driven
00:18 through the floodwaters. The rain today has rained only a minimal amount in Albion Park
00:22 and the drain here and the creek beside me is already at capacity so when we do get that
00:26 heavy downfall that this water and the road will be flooded with flash flooding. What
00:31 you don't actually see under the water when you travel through with your vehicle is any
00:35 of the debris that's washed under that murky water, any potential damage to the road that
00:40 has been caused by the rain and vehicles unfortunately driving through. You also can't see how fast
00:45 that water is moving under the ground surface. Please don't risk your life and the life of
00:49 your passengers by driving through floodwaters. Please take an alternate route and stay safely
00:53 safe.
