Storm Kathleen is to hit Glasgow with transport disruption and high winds.

00:00 Those without door plans this weekend may want to reconsider a storm Kathleen is set to hit most of
00:04 Scotland's south. A yellow warning was issued by the Met Office for Saturday the 6th of April
00:10 and people are being urged to plan ahead. The storm is forecast to bring winds of up to 52
00:15 miles per hour across Glasgow, however no rain is to be expected with possible sunny spells
00:20 and spring-like temperatures of 15 degrees. It has been referred to as a smorgaubord
00:25 by the Met Office due to the contrasting high temperatures coinciding with the extreme winds.
00:30 Many trains between Glasgow and Edinburgh have been cancelled due to the weather and ScotRail
00:34 is warning people to plan ahead before travelling. Updates will be given on their website and through
00:39 the app. There may also be disruption to the roads so Transport Scotland are advising people
00:44 to plan for their journey. A rain and snow warning has been issued however across North Lanarkshire
00:49 and East Dunbartonshire from Friday the 5th of April. The storm is forecast to hit Greater
00:54 Glasgow between 8am and 10pm on the 6th of April.
