00:00 By Hall, by Cleen, put your money.
00:03 10 round lightweight matchup, our main event of the evening.
00:11 17-1 Justin Poldo.
00:14 30-2 Miguel Madueno.
00:18 28 of his 30 wins by knockout.
00:23 Here we go! It's time to fight!
00:27 Black, yellow and green trunks for Justin Poldo.
00:32 Miguel Madueno in the camouflage and black trunks.
00:36 Madueno starting out very, very fast.
00:38 28 KO's and 30 wins, looking to assert that power early on.
00:42 And that's the thing, you don't want to get Poldo too comfortable.
00:45 I think that's what he's trying to do, he's trying to get Poldo right on the back foot right away.
00:48 Because once Poldo gets comfortable, his rhythm flows from defense to offense like water.
00:53 Ooh, good right hand over the top from Madueno.
00:57 November 15th of last year, Poldo ultra impressive against Jerry Perez.
01:03 Perez did not get off the stool after round 3.
01:09 Madueno needs to be careful though, because Poldo is a sharp counter puncher.
01:13 And coming forward on a guy, even though he only has 8 KO's and 17 wins,
01:18 Poldo has shown on our air that he can punch.
01:21 Yeah, but you know what it is, Poldo has to get set on that going backwards.
01:26 And right now, I think Madueno is trying to keep him going backwards so much that he can't get set for the counters either.
01:31 Born and raised in Orlando, but he moved the family to Houston, Texas
01:35 to train under the guidance of Ronnie Shields, who is in his corner tonight.
01:40 Justin with a nice right hand that lands.
01:43 Yeah, perfectly placed counter right on the chin.
01:46 No press, no press, no press.
01:48 That's where Poldo becomes dangerous. If he starts to be able to kind of settle in,
01:52 his rhythm, he starts to really, he has a really good eye for the attack you bring.
01:57 He starts to counter those shots.
01:59 Madueno has never been stopped in his professional career.
02:04 Good counter by Poldo.
02:06 Madueno doing a good job of making this ring small.
02:10 Putting a lot of pressure, cutting off the ring pretty well.
02:15 Oh, good.
02:16 Long right hand there, Chris Algieri.
02:18 Nice change of level there. Stab jab down low, right hand over the top.
02:21 Poldo with a good combination.
02:23 You know what? Guys, it's going to develop into a fight pretty quickly. I got a feeling.
02:27 Yeah, two minutes in and he's got the bolts on to throw a bit more. It's getting a bit chippy in there.
02:32 Ronnie Shields said of Justin Poldo, he's patient, he's willing to learn,
02:40 he's also willing to do anything to win the fight.
02:44 And a frenetic pace early on in our main event.
02:49 Very, very physical opening ground.
02:51 Both men trying to assert themselves.
02:56 Madueno won the WBO Latino Lightweight belt here on Pro Box TV
03:09 against Juan Huertas. Fought for the WBO International Super Lightweight belt.
03:16 Tonight it's the WBA Continental North America Lightweight belt on the line.
03:22 [Bell rings]
03:24 [Applause]
03:27 [Music]
03:31 [Music]
03:57 Great start to our main event. Very worthy of note.
04:02 Madueno, 28 finishes and his 30 wins.
04:05 23 of those have come in the first three rounds.
04:10 Nine in the first, that is behind us now.
04:13 Nine in the second, five in the third.
04:17 Madueno coming off a setback in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
04:25 He moved up to 140 pounds.
04:28 Lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Steve Kliget.
04:33 Back at his much more comfortable weight class here tonight
04:37 for our main event against the Million Dollar Man.
04:40 Black, yellow and green for Poldo. Camouflage and black for Madueno.
04:45 Madueno on stock mode, just coming forward, looking to put hands on Poldo.
04:50 I think Poldo should be a little busy with the jab though.
04:52 He's backing up, he's looking to time something, but Madueno's got a bit of an off rhythm.
04:57 He's not easy, he's got a time, especially early in the fight where he hasn't really picked up his rhythm.
05:03 I think as Poldo backs up, it would better serve him to at least jab off, backing up.
05:08 When he does use that jab, it does land, it's pretty effective.
05:12 Like here you see he's using it and it's preventing Madueno from coming forward so comfortably.
05:17 Nice counter there on the inside. Slip inside, left hook to the body, left hook to the head.
05:21 Body land there okay.
05:23 Now that I've never seen, he hurt me guys.
05:26 Using that jab and then Madueno's momentum coming forward all of a sudden has a little bit of a hesitancy.
05:32 Notice Poldo using the feints from the outside, setting up those jabs.
05:36 Yeah, and that's the thing, when you jab, it makes your feints better.
05:40 And when your feints are good, it automatically complements your jabs as well.
05:43 It makes your jabs more effective. Those things complement each other.
05:46 29 year old Poldo, 25 year old Madueno.
05:51 Midway point of round number two.
05:53 Nice counter there.
05:55 With my powerful partners, The Magic Man, Paulin Malignaggi, Chris Algieri, Mike Goldberg.
06:00 Wednesday night fights on your boxing channel, ProBoxTV.
06:04 Stop, stop, stop.
06:10 You can't hold it here. Come on Jimmy, keep it clean.
06:15 Big swing and a miss there from Madueno.
06:18 Nice stiff jab into the chin of Madueno from Poldo.
06:26 Good body shot. And then a good right hand from Poldo and another one.
06:29 And another.
06:31 Oh, big right, oh.
06:33 Both men firing here in round two.
06:36 You can literally see Poldo biting down on that mouthpiece and throwing hard.
06:40 But Madueno, in true Mexican style, said come on, let's go.
06:44 Now he's got his head in Poldo's face too.
06:47 It looked like Poldo got mad because that left hook to the body.
06:50 He came back throwing big bombs. Madueno said, okay, let's go.
06:54 Still 30 seconds in this round, Paul.
06:56 I'll give you Poldo credit. You did a good body shot.
06:58 You take a good body shot. Makes you not want to fight.
07:00 He got mad and wants to fight.
07:02 Speaks to the conditioning of Poldo. Comes in fantastic condition.
07:07 Sneaky little uppercut from Madueno.
07:12 Against a bona fide puncher in Madueno.
07:15 Excellent second round here. These guys are really scrapping.
07:18 Madueno pressuring and putting this pace on Poldo.
07:23 Poldo.
07:25 [Applause]
07:28 [Applause]
07:31 [Applause]
07:35 [Applause]
07:38 [Applause]
07:50 Some of them, he calls them. We turn his head.
08:00 I'll reward them, all right? I got you.
08:03 Both guys trading right hands. Boom. Big right hand shot.
08:07 There were some moments after Madueno landed a really nice sweeping left hook to the liver of Poldo.
08:12 Poldo came back as if he was angry for getting caught.
08:14 Answering fire with fire.
08:19 The battle continues and it's early on and it is already a battle.
08:29 Justin Poldo, black, yellow and green trunks, camouflaged in black for Miguel Madueno.
08:36 30 and 2 record. 28 wins by knockout. 23 of those in the first three rounds.
08:46 Both these guys are locked in. Dead focused.
08:54 Like you guys talked about during that spectacular co-main event, we still have another fight.
09:00 And what a fight it's been early on between Poldo and Madueno.
09:06 Madueno loves to bring the heat.
09:22 Poldo said in the fighter meetings he knows the possessing of power that Madueno has.
09:30 But he doesn't feel like the toolbox is as full for Madueno as it is for his self.
09:37 Time will tell.
09:39 That's why they call it the great equalizer though.
09:41 You can fight a guy who's got more skill, but if you can't take your punch.
09:45 And Madueno putting on a ton of pressure here.
09:47 Chopping shots.
09:52 Poldo needs to get some respect.
09:54 But again, I feel like a lot of times he doesn't use that jab when he's backing off.
09:59 It creates a little hesitancy in the pressure of Madueno when he sees that jab.
10:03 But Poldo a lot of times, like you see now, he's not consistent and Madueno can walk right in the front door.
10:10 Yeah, Poldo falls into his natural counter punching style.
10:16 Oh, good right hand.
10:19 Big right hand, pops the head back.
10:22 One minute, round three.
10:24 Second fight here on Pro Box TV for Madueno.
10:32 Who's caught some blood rolling down the left side of his nose.
10:38 Good combination though from the explosive one.
10:44 Poldo so hard to hit cleanly. Rolls with everything, keeps his body moving, gets behind that lead shoulder.
10:50 Oh, big body shot.
10:54 Poldo, you said Poldo can take a body shot. He just took another big one.
10:59 Yeah, he gave one too though. They both traded in there.
11:01 A little short uppercuts on the inside.
11:03 I guess one good body shot deserves another goalie.
11:05 You got that right.
11:07 My mother used to say that.
11:09 Oh, good uppercut by Madueno.
11:14 Some blood on the eye of Madueno.
11:18 The right eye.
11:21 Is it the right eye? No, I think it's above the left eye.
11:28 Looks like a vertical cut.
11:32 Was it a headbutt or was it a punch? Could it be that shot?
11:37 That was already cut there.
11:39 Yeah, it was already cut there, but that was right on it.
11:41 Here we see a nice, beautiful body shot there from Madueno.
11:44 And these guys are scrapping back and forth, nip and tuck.
11:50 They might bite right through the mouthpiece.
11:55 You can see Poldo literally grind his teeth.
11:58 Yep.
11:59 He's going to bite right through an angle.
12:02 What was the old school sporting goods store he brought up a couple shows ago?
12:09 Which one? Models? Yeah, models.
12:12 Thankfully, these are both custom made. Art Models.
12:16 You got that right.
12:18 Cleveland Browns. And Baltimore Ravens. They don't like them in Cleveland.
12:23 No, they do not. He moved them over to Baltimore.
12:26 And you know how I feel about both those teams, Paulie.
12:32 Well, as a Bengals fan, I can't blame you.
12:35 Exactly. Round number four. Poldo and Madueno both have been in attack mode in our main event.
12:44 Black, yellow, and green for the Million Dollar Man.
12:47 Explosivo in the camouflage and black.
12:52 And now Madueno trying to use his own jab to back up Poldo and prevent him from getting in the rhythm.
12:58 Madueno throws everything hard. Even his jab is stiff.
13:03 Puts his whole body behind it.
13:05 And you know what? He is a vertical cut champ. I see it now on the left eye.
13:10 Yeah, that could be a clutch of his. Punches generally don't cause cuts like that.
13:14 I'd like to see a little more feinting and jabbing from Poldo.
13:21 He's falling into the trap of throwing everything hard as well.
13:25 Ooh, nice counter.
13:31 Little pull counter there with the right hand over the top from Poldo.
13:35 And that's the respect I was talking about. Because look at Madueno now.
13:39 He's not coming forward the way he was before.
13:41 A couple shots like that will make you think twice about coming through the front door.
13:49 And Poldo, as we mentioned, mentored by Ronnie Shields now.
13:57 Moved the entire family from Orlando to Houston.
14:00 We've seen him with Ronnie now for the third time.
14:05 Shields in his corner tonight.
14:07 And you're just around a gym like that, Chris.
14:10 And you just take in the osmosis and get better by watching others.
14:14 I talk about it a lot. It's gym culture.
14:16 Being around other Lions is really important for the development of a fighter.
14:19 Having that competitiveness in the air has an effect on everyone in the gym.
14:23 And being in that winning gym culture prepares you for fights like this, man.
14:34 You got that right.
14:35 Because these kind of fights test you physically and mentally.
14:38 We always say we don't have any A-sides and B-sides here.
14:43 Everyone comes to win.
14:44 We got the A and the other A-side.
14:46 They are digging in.
14:48 Round number four.
14:50 [crowd cheering]
14:53 If only we get some of the judges that memo.
14:55 Somebody's mouthpiece fell out, right?
14:58 Somebody's mouthpiece is on the floor.
15:00 Is that a mouthpiece? It's very small.
15:02 It looks like a piece of the glove.
15:05 A piece of tape.
15:07 Something from Modell's.
15:08 It's a piece of Peldo's mouthpiece from biting so hard.
15:12 You know what, bro?
15:13 I said you didn't put a pipe through it.
15:16 They make you bring a backup mouthpiece, so let's see.
15:20 That's what I'm talking about. That was it.
15:22 Everybody bites on the mouthpiece a little bit differently,
15:25 but Peldo looks like he's one of the harder bite downs.
15:27 Spectacular start to this one.
15:34 And in two weeks, we're right back with another great main event.
15:37 Hot Rod returns.
15:39 Radovoi Ikalaychich made his Pro Box TV debut last September
15:43 with an eighth round TKO of Mickey Ellison.
15:46 He fights out of St. Petersburg, Florida.
15:48 His opponent fights out of Miami, Florida.
15:51 22-4 Sullivan Barrera.
15:54 14 career finishes.
15:56 Fought Dmitry Bebel in March of 2008.
16:00 Plus, first fight of 2024 for 10-0, Marcus Valle.
16:05 Join us for all the action Wednesday, March 13th,
16:08 right here on Pro Box TV.
16:10 There's that beautiful pull counter from Peldo in that last round
16:16 that set the tone. Bang!
16:18 You can't let a cleaner shot than that.
16:20 Walk him right into it.
16:22 You mentioned Sullivan Barrera. He also fought the great Andre Ward.
16:26 Yes.
16:27 Went the full distance with Andre.
16:29 And went very deep with Bebel,
16:36 was finished in the 12th and final round.
16:39 You know, Goldie, a little trivia.
16:41 I was in the corner for Sullivan Barrera that night.
16:43 Is that right?
16:44 Well, it didn't go our way, obviously, but...
16:46 It was a great experience. That was my first world title fight.
16:49 And it was a great fight.
16:51 It was. It was.
16:52 And we know Hot Rod's got a ton of personality, great skill set,
16:58 and excited to be back here on Pro Box TV.
17:01 Right now, though, it's a firefight between MeduƱo and Peldo.
17:06 I'll tell you, man. I'm gonna go out on a limb here.
17:08 I'm gonna say, this fight's competitive,
17:10 and this fight's been good in the ring.
17:12 I think Peldo can make it probably quieter,
17:15 but much easier if he just sticks with a consistent jab.
17:18 Every time he's jabbing, MeduƱo is controlled at a distance
17:22 where he's not able to work a lot.
17:23 You read my mind, champ. I was gonna say, this fight...
17:26 Behind the head?
17:27 I don't know if he's gonna push him behind the head or behind the head.
17:31 He did get warned at the end of the last round.
17:35 I couldn't tell exactly what it was. I guess it was hitting rabbit punches.
17:38 Rabbit punches behind the head.
17:40 [crowd shouting]
17:44 I also think when Peldo goes back and watches tape on this,
17:47 he's gonna see how many holes are in the offense of MeduƱo,
17:50 'cause everything is hard.
17:52 Yep.
17:53 One of the few finishes outside of the first three rounds
17:58 for MeduƱo was right here on Pro Box TV
18:01 when he finished Juan Huertas in the fifth.
18:09 Midway point of the fifth here.
18:12 Big point deducted from MeduƱo by Christopher Young.
18:30 Yeah, a fight like this, that can really make a difference.
18:34 [crowd shouting]
18:38 In the pocket, bite down, dig in and put on a show.
18:53 Peldo, nice work.
18:57 That inside counter work from Peldo is a thing of beauty, man.
19:00 Slip and slide in, ripping.
19:03 There's a lot of--
19:05 In terms of that point taken off, though,
19:07 you notice Peldo turns his head a lot, though, man.
19:09 It was a tricky warning, I felt like,
19:11 and it's a tricky point to take on a guy like Peldo,
19:14 who does a lot of twisting and contorting with his upper body.
19:17 It's a great point.
19:19 You gotta also, as a referee, read the fight
19:21 and read the styles of the fighters sometimes.
19:23 It seemed like a fast call for a point deduction.
19:25 I saw him give him a warning, but even the warning,
19:27 I mean, again, Peldo's a guy who stands in front of you
19:29 and he works and twists his body in different ways.
19:32 [bell ringing]
19:34 [crowd cheering]
19:58 You're doing everything right, okay?
20:00 You're not doing anything wrong.
20:02 I just want you to add one jab to what you're doing.
20:05 I want the body--
20:07 [whistle blows]
20:09 Ronnie Shields.
20:13 [whistle blows]
20:15 Bruno Cummings.
20:20 [whistle blows]
20:22 Is it just me, or are these rounds flying by?
20:27 I think we're halfway through the fight already.
20:29 It's crazy. We've gone a distance,
20:31 and it's just been flying by. The fights have been so good.
20:33 [bell ringing]
20:35 The Jordan Melch corner guy said, "Get in there and fight."
20:38 Yeah, he wants him to take to the body.
20:40 Yep.
20:42 That point deduction, rather large here in a tight fight.
20:46 Round number six of our main event of the evening,
20:49 black, yellow, and green, for the Million Dollar Man,
20:52 17-1, Justin Peldo.
20:55 Miguel Madueno from Sinaloa, Mexico,
20:58 in the camouflage and black trunks.
21:01 30-2 record.
21:04 28 finishes.
21:06 This is another one of those fights that's going to be interesting to score,
21:11 because a lot of the shots Peldo rolls with,
21:14 they're hard to see if they land cleanly,
21:16 and a lot of the eye-catching shots from Peldo--
21:18 He waits so much.
21:20 When he's watching this fight, he's going to see how many opportunities he has.
21:23 There's so many holes.
21:25 Control the range with the left hand, and literally just make Madueno--
21:29 I wouldn't say fight with his hands in his pocket, but just about.
21:32 When there's a consistent jab in front of Madueno,
21:34 he rarely answers, and he doesn't start closing that gap either.
21:37 Even this, jabs really aren't landing,
21:41 but look how controlled Madueno is staying.
21:43 You can pick and choose now when to put some stuff behind that jab
21:46 and when to use that jab consistently, and Madueno will cooperate.
21:50 And judges tend to like guys who are aggressive and throw them punches
21:53 and coming forward, whether they're being effective or not.
21:56 And Peldo did tell us yesterday in the fighter interviews,
21:59 he knows Madueno's a strong guy.
22:02 He said not too many tricks, though.
22:05 Justin feels like the more skilled fighter,
22:09 and he's starting to open up that toolbox that I alluded to, guys,
22:12 at the top of the show.
22:19 Picking up those little tricks, that high-level gym in Houston, Texas.
22:24 28 KO's and 28 KO's, and Madueno looks to be in good shape
22:30 here in round 6, really letting those hands go.
22:33 And like you said, champ, Peldo is allowing him to work.
22:38 Just because many of them came early doesn't mean he can't finish late, right, Chris?
22:43 No, I mean, heavy hands are heavy hands.
22:45 If you're not getting to score in 28 knockouts in 30 fights,
22:47 even if you're fighting a bunch of cab drivers, you still stop 28.
22:50 So the hands are there.
22:52 A little swelling outside the left eye of Peldo.
22:58 Oh, good right hand.
23:00 That's not going to help.
23:01 Good combination by Madueno.
23:04 And again, he really gets it.
23:05 Downstairs, downstairs.
23:06 And he gets it off because Peldo's waiting.
23:08 That's a little counter right hand from Peldo, but again, waiting so long.
23:11 Is it worth it? Is it worth it to wait that long just to get that little counter,
23:14 roll the counter right hand?
23:17 That was my point about how difficult this can be to score,
23:19 because Peldo does land immediately after when he does get touched,
23:22 but it turns into one for one, you go, I go.
23:25 And I get that sometimes he even doesn't get touched,
23:27 but you're allowing Madueno to keep believing in himself.
23:30 Oh, good left.
23:33 [applause]
23:36 Season four, stuff around.
23:50 I can't have one punch at a time.
23:52 No punches, no wins in the fight.
23:54 I don't want nothing, no doubts in the fight.
23:58 Three, four, five punches at a time.
24:01 [applause]
24:04 Good statement at the end of the round by Miguel Madueno.
24:13 Double jab right hand, little counter right hand there from Peldo.
24:20 [whistle]
24:21 Peldo then just says, yeah, here's a hook for you, take that with you back to your seat.
24:24 Yeah, that leaping left hook has been a weapon that Madueno has been trying to
24:27 utilize all night long. That was the cleanest one that he's landed tonight.
24:31 And this one is flying by, guys.
24:34 Ten rounder for the WBA Continental North America lightweight belt.
24:39 We are in round number seven.
24:41 Justin Peldo, black, yellow, and green, camouflage in black for Miguel Madueno.
24:47 Yeah, that swivel right hand that Peldo utilizes is sharp.
24:51 That one just missed.
24:53 Really gets great torque and rotation with that upper body.
24:57 Wednesday night fights delivering once again.
25:05 Here on your boxing channel, Pro Box TV.
25:08 [crowd noise]
25:27 You know, Peldo's got a good counter right hand, but I feel like also
25:31 sometimes he looks for too much.
25:33 Almost like he'll take away from the other good things he knows how to do
25:35 because he wants to look for that one shot.
25:38 Capable guy, man. He's got a lot of talent, but your decision making
25:45 inside the ring also goes a long way in separating you from certain levels.
25:50 Yeah, but champ, I don't got to tell you, jabbing with a certain level of guy
25:54 and then jabbing with a higher level guy is a different thing.
25:56 Yeah, of course.
25:58 But you see, when he moves his hands, they're a nice combination.
26:02 As effective as a jab is, it's actually the easiest punch to counter
26:06 because you don't have as much power coming your way.
26:09 Yeah, if it's in the same rhythm all the time.
26:13 But it's at the point where Madueno doesn't even expect jabs,
26:21 so when he sees them, he almost freezes.
26:25 Greatly due to the success of Miguel Madueno,
26:29 the last time he won a unanimous decision victory,
26:35 last time he garnered the judges' scorecards was in 2018.
26:40 So you're saying Madueno doesn't like decisions?
26:44 No, he does not.
26:46 The last two have not gone his way, in fact.
26:48 Cleggett and Corrales.
26:54 His one finish later than round 6 was a round 10 finish
27:01 against Sonny Fredrickson, who was in our last chance tournament.
27:06 Yeah, we saw Fredrickson. He didn't last long, though.
27:08 No, he did not. He left Kendo Tremendous victim.
27:12 Yeah, you saw about 20-30 seconds ago, you see,
27:16 Poldo was circling his way around the ring,
27:19 and Madueno was following him, following him,
27:21 and then he just stopped and stepped back.
27:23 30-point fight. Cut off the ring.
27:25 What do you think? Did he come to you just because you stopped following him
27:28 and come and step back? You couldn't get to him.
27:30 Again, here we go again. All you got to do is cut off the ring.
27:51 Get the bullshit out of him, okay?
27:53 You got to go to work in this. You got to go to work in that.
27:55 Okay? Come on, man. You started off perfectly.
27:59 Now you're starting to move around too much.
28:01 You ain't going to win rounds like that.
28:03 Okay? The plan is in the middle of the ring.
28:06 Never want to leave it in the hands of the judges.
28:11 They had a weird one.
28:13 He leads on one of the scorecards in our co-main event.
28:16 But keep in mind the point deduction taken from Madueno
28:20 earlier in the fight could loom very largely.
28:24 Always worse in a co-main event.
28:27 The 99-91 card or the fact that for the first time in my life
28:31 I saw an instant replay overturn a correct decision and make it wrong.
28:35 Both.
28:39 It's a tie for worse, Paulie.
28:42 Round number eight, scheduled for ten.
28:45 Mike Goldberg, the Magic Man, the former two-time world champion,
28:48 Paulie Molinaggi, former world champion,
28:51 Chris Algieri, combination from Madueno.
28:54 Very, very good right hand down to the body by Madueno
28:57 as Paldo was circling along the ropes.
29:00 And now Madueno is getting off.
29:03 I think Paldo has complicated this fight for himself.
29:07 I think he's made it much more difficult than it needed to be.
29:10 And it's competitive. That point deduction could loom large.
29:15 And for me it's also a fortunate point deduction
29:18 because you can see right there, you see Paldo turn the other way.
29:22 Madueno's having a very good round. Very, very busy.
29:28 All got started with that right hand down low.
29:31 And Paldo does touch in between, but it's just
29:33 when Madueno's putting the punches in bunches,
29:35 that little turn, roll, counter isn't enough to win you the round
29:39 if Madueno's also landing.
29:43 Paldo on a 12 fight win streak.
29:46 His lone loss was by split decision in March of 2015.
29:56 To the body goes Madueno again.
30:00 Trench warfare here between these two.
30:02 Both digging down to the body with both hands.
30:04 Nice combination, Madueno.
30:05 Madueno's very busy this round.
30:07 Good uppercut by Paldo. Good action this round.
30:12 Again, sneaky uppercut by the Million Dollar Man.
30:15 You can see the head of Madueno snapping back from those uppercuts.
30:21 Low shot on the exit.
30:35 [crowd cheering]
30:38 You can see the replay of that low blow.
30:49 Oh yeah, oh yeah.
30:51 That's a sneak ball.
30:53 This is an accident. Replay of that low blow.
30:57 It's an accident. It's an accident.
30:58 Paldo actually tried to sneak that win in.
31:00 To the side from the referees, they didn't see it.
31:03 Well timed, well targeted.
31:05 Reconciliation, time in.
31:06 Well disguised.
31:07 Final minute of the round.
31:11 Again, uppercuts landing for both men.
31:30 There's another one from Paldo.
31:32 Another one for him.
31:33 What a fight!
31:35 Oh, Madueno coming back at Paldo.
31:38 You don't get this kind of action anywhere else.
31:48 Digging in, both men.
31:49 Wow!
31:51 Oh, Box TV, baby.
31:54 This is the one!
31:55 What a fight!
32:01 Both men refuse to give an inch.
32:03 Digging deep here.
32:04 Shots are landing, man.
32:06 Yeah, absolutely.
32:07 They were defending well on the inside.
32:09 Now they're both just cracking each other.
32:11 Standing ovation by the crowd here.
32:17 Justifiably so.
32:19 Well deserved.
32:21 Here's the flurry, guys.
32:26 I mean, flurry. This back and forth action from both guys.
32:30 Hard shots, too.
32:31 Often flurries you think of short shots.
32:33 These guys have been digging with power shots back and forth.
32:36 And to your point, champ, both are landing.
32:39 Landing clean, hard shots.
32:40 Yeah, this replay was a better replay for Paldo.
32:43 Madueno had a very good round, though.
32:47 Was consistent from the beginning to the end.
32:49 Paldo drew a line in the sand and said,
32:51 "All right, I'm going to stay here and fight."
32:53 Awesome round.
32:57 [whistle]
32:58 Paldo did win a 10-round unanimous decision
33:07 in his Pro Box TV debut
33:10 last June.
33:13 Last August, pardon me,
33:16 against Estella.
33:18 This is round number nine.
33:20 The Million Dollar Man, black, yellow, and green.
33:25 Explosivo!
33:26 In the camouflage and black round number nine of ten.
33:31 Round nine starting off the way round eight ended.
33:35 Both guys meeting in the center of the ring and trading big shots.
33:39 Paldo, born and raised in Orlando.
33:43 But a lot of family and friends in attendance here tonight
33:47 at Pro Box TV World Headquarters.
33:49 And for everyone at home, we can hear these body shots landing ringside.
33:54 Oh, man. Thumping shots.
33:56 Great durability, great conditioning,
34:04 showcased by both fighters.
34:06 I'll tell you this much, both of these guys are going to know
34:09 they were in a fight last night tomorrow morning.
34:12 In you go. In you go.
34:14 MadueƱo never been stopped.
34:26 Paldo never been stopped.
34:29 Watch for that uppercut again.
34:40 MadueƱo has done a very good job of pulling Paldo into his fight,
34:43 especially as the rounds have worn on.
34:45 This is exciting to see what MadueƱo would like.
34:47 I almost feel like when MadueƱo followed Paldo to his back,
34:50 a couple of rounds ago, I feel like Paldo took offense to it.
34:53 And he's been fighting toe to toe with MadueƱo ever since.
34:57 Much to MadueƱo's chagrin.
35:08 Final minute of the night.
35:10 Much to your point, Paulie, he may, MadueƱo,
35:22 have taunted enough to get Paldo to get into more of a firefight here.
35:27 Yeah, he said, "You want me to stop and fight? Alright."
35:30 You get what you get, you get what you ask for.
35:33 It's giving us better action, I'll tell you that.
35:36 Steve has come off the shots of MadueƱo, though.
35:38 Does not have the same snap that he had earlier on.
35:41 Falling into shots.
35:43 Yes, slowly, Paldo's crisper shots are more telling here.
35:48 A good hook there on the inside from MadueƱo.
35:51 This wrestling also fatigues me like crazy.
35:57 Jocking for position on the inside.
35:59 Oh, good connection late.
36:02 Good angle cut there from Paldo to step around.
36:04 A lot of machismo in the ring tonight.
36:07 You got that right.
36:09 Something tells me they don't like each other, guys.
36:11 They're really not going to like each other these last three minutes.
36:17 You don't have to not like the other guy in front of you.
36:21 You don't have to not like the other guy in front of you.
36:24 You don't have to not like the other guy in front of you.
36:27 You don't have to not like the other guy in front of you.
36:31 You don't have to not like the other guy in front of you, but it certainly helps.
36:33 The winner of MadueƱo.
36:53 The winner of MadueƱo.
36:54 Three minutes remain.
37:05 Ten-two, final round.
37:09 Armani, bed of the evening.
37:13 A lot on the line here.
37:22 Remember a point deducted in round five.
37:26 By Christopher Young against MadueƱo.
37:31 Trying to make up that point and many others.
37:35 Nice jabs from MadueƱo.
37:39 Oh, good body shot there from MadueƱo.
37:41 Good right hand over the top from Paldo.
37:50 That's the thing. These guys are so competitive.
37:52 Either one who lands a good shot gets answered back right away.
37:56 Paldo has not been defeated in eight years, ten months and 29 days.
38:05 Two minutes.
38:11 Two minutes.
38:12 Nice body shot there.
38:22 As MadueƱo was bent over and stretched out.
38:25 That's one thing though. Paldo has not gotten too many warnings for.
38:29 Only down the head. Nice little triple hook from Paldo.
38:32 Very sloppy shots though.
38:34 MadueƱo.
38:39 He's doing everything but cutting off the ring though. That's the problem.
38:41 Literally ran after him instead of cutting off the ring.
38:44 This is another one of those fights where at the decision both guys are going to think they won.
38:52 That left very active here in the tenth for Paldo.
38:58 Again, MadueƱo not cutting off the ring.
39:01 Look, look, look. This is not going to help his cause here.
39:06 Especially, you give Paldo a chance to rest and then he can come fire back.
39:09 When fighters of this experience are missing those simple things, it amazes me.
39:16 He will literally look at Paldo and say he doesn't want to fight.
39:22 Meantime, Paldo will crack him with shots every time he catches him.
39:25 And he won't understand that if he would just cut off the ring, he would force Paldo to fight when he wants to fight instead of when Paldo wants to fight.
39:33 That's the lost art of cutting off the ring. Very few fighters nowadays are adept.
39:36 Lethal left hand on display here in the tenth and final round from Justin Paldo.
39:45 Final 20 seconds of the fight.
39:51 I think it literally cost him the round.
39:53 He didn't do anything besides stalking and posture.
39:56 But he started the round decent. Once Paldo started moving and then shooting, stopping and shooting, moving and stopping and shooting.
40:02 But Madueno hasn't done anything because he's just been chasing him.
40:04 But Madueno's ego is going to tell him that he won this round, which isn't the case. That's not how boxing works.
40:09 They go the distance!
40:12 In our main event of the evening, Justin Paldo and Miguel Madueno.
40:19 Madueno is looking at Paldo like he's still mad at him.
40:22 You're only allowed to fight ten rounds tonight, guys.
40:25 Hey, Paulie Matchmaker, how many rematches are we going to schedule tonight?
40:28 I don't know. That's called main event. I feel like I would want to see again.
40:31 That was a fun fight.
40:33 Escudero was a good fight.
40:35 This one, Paldo might have pulled out at the end.
40:38 They put on a show from the very start. That is for certain.
40:42 Round two.
40:49 [crowd noise]
40:54 Round two.
40:57 [crowd noise]
41:22 Great left hand lands there. Round eight.
41:26 [crowd noise]
41:31 Great back and forth action between these two.
41:33 Paldo fought more than you would expect him to with a guy who has as much boxing skill and IQ as he does.
41:39 But Madueno pushed the pace, pushed the action, and made Paldo fight his fight.
41:43 [crowd noise]
41:47 And in the tenth, that left hand was lethal.
41:50 [crowd noise]
41:52 Triple left hooked that Paulie talked about.
41:55 [crowd noise]
41:56 And it is now in the hands of the judges as they render their decision.
42:00 The scorecards are in.
42:02 Who is victorious in the main event?
42:05 Here is Jim Sorensen.
42:07 [bell ringing]
42:09 Ladies and gentlemen, ten rounds of boxing action takes us to the judges' scorecards.
42:20 And in this fight, Judge Alvaro Rodriguez scored the fight 95 to 94 blue.
42:30 [crowd noise]
42:32 Judge Brian Gary scored the fight 95 to 94 red.
42:39 [crowd noise]
42:43 And Judge Rose Lysand scored the fight 97 to 92.
42:50 For your split decision winner and champion, WBA North American Continental Lightweight Champion,
43:03 the new Miguel Madueno!
43:09 [crowd noise]
43:13 Some judges like the coming forward guys.
43:16 I'll tell you, Florida is one of those states that sometimes has judges that will like the guy coming forward.
43:23 I said that earlier on.
