Scheffler doesn't want to be defined just by golf

Scottie Scheffler says there is more to his life than just playing golf ahead of the start of the Masters.

00:08 and when you're at the peak of your game,

00:10 people need stuff from you a lot of the time

00:12 and you have to be selfish with your time

00:14 and it's not easy to say no,

00:15 but you have to learn how to say no to certain people

00:17 and ultimately when you come out to a golf tournament,

00:19 you're here to compete and you're here to do your best

00:21 and you can't really get caught up

00:22 in all the stuff that's going on around you.

00:24 So I'm hoping it doesn't define me too much

00:25 because golf is something that I do.

00:27 It's a tremendously huge part of my life,

00:29 but it doesn't define me as a person.

00:31 It's just something that I do

00:32 and I happen to be good at it some weeks

00:34 and I come in here and you guys ask all nice questions

00:37 and then the next week I'm bad at it

00:38 and then some of the questions are viewed more negatively

00:40 and that's just kind of the ebb and flow

00:42 of competing in front of people all the time.
