00:40:49 - Maybe I'll have a ladybug latte.
00:40:52 - Ooh, two pumps extra handsome incoming.
00:40:57 - Who?
00:40:58 - Mr. Lavender Latte.
00:41:00 (Amanda laughs)
00:41:02 - Hello.
00:41:03 - Hi.
00:41:03 - Good morning, Amanda, Heffy.
00:41:05 - Hi.
00:41:06 - I'll do my usual please and thank you.
00:41:08 - Oh, you know what?
00:41:09 Actually, you should try Amanda's new creation,
00:41:11 the ladybug latte, Mr. Pastor.
00:41:14 - Right, sure, ladybug latte.
00:41:18 That sounds very unique.
00:41:20 It's Amanda's creation, I'll try it.
00:41:22 Mm, mm, that is, that is divine.
00:41:28 Well, thank you, it's delicious.
00:41:29 - Oh, Amanda, great shift today.
00:41:32 You should go home.
00:41:33 - But don't I?
00:41:35 - No, no, no, no.
00:41:36 Actually, we're out of your mom's cookies,
00:41:38 so I'm gonna need you to make another batch of those.
00:41:41 - Yes, ah, cookies, mm-hmm.
00:41:46 - And it would be so much easier
00:41:48 if there were two pairs of hands helping you do that.
00:41:52 I have to stay here though,
00:41:53 so I just, I wonder if there's anyone else
00:41:55 who could help you.
00:42:00 - Oh, um, yeah, I mean, the whole reason I came in today
00:42:03 was to get a little break from my Sunday preparations.
00:42:06 Might be happy to lend a stirring hand.
00:42:08 Of course, if you don't mind.
00:42:10 - No, she doesn't mind.
00:42:11 I, I don't mind.
00:42:13 - Have you done this before?
00:42:20 - What?
00:42:21 - Have you done this before?
00:42:22 - Oh, uh.
00:42:23 - Have you done this before?
00:42:28 - Is it that easy to tell?
00:42:30 - It's just a little.
00:42:31 - My mom normally takes charge in the kitchen.
00:42:34 I just kind of follow her lead.
00:42:36 - Yeah, I never would have guessed that.
00:42:37 - Uh, so, uh, how did you get into the business of God?
00:42:44 - I see you're changing the subject now, huh?
00:42:46 - Oh, just, you know, redirecting away
00:42:48 from this flowery fiasco.
00:42:50 I'm just, um, I was just kind of curious.
00:42:53 - You know, to tell you the truth,
00:42:54 I never thought I'd be a preacher or a pastor.
00:42:57 I, um, I went to business school, of all places.
00:43:01 Quickly found out the corporate world was not for me.
00:43:04 So I decided to follow my passion for the great outdoors
00:43:07 and teach rock climbing.
00:43:09 I loved it, for years.
00:43:11 But, um,
00:43:12 in one event,
00:43:16 I changed my life.
00:43:17 I fell.
00:43:20 60 feet.
00:43:22 Yeah, cracked my vertebrae in multiple places.
00:43:27 I had five surgeries.
00:43:28 Doctor said I'd never walk again.
00:43:30 - Derek, I'm so sorry to hear that.
00:43:34 - Yeah.
00:43:36 Yeah, that time in the hospital,
00:43:41 it was like my desert.
00:43:42 I didn't have much to turn to.
00:43:45 But then I met Samuel Stevens.
00:43:48 He was my occupational therapist.
00:43:51 He not only taught me how to walk again,
00:43:53 but he taught me about God.
00:43:56 He saved my life.
00:43:58 I'd do just about anything for him.
00:44:01 He gave me his granddaddy's Bible.
00:44:03 I started reading it, haven't put down since.
00:44:07 That book, it gave me hope.
00:44:09 Hope turned into healing, and before I know it,
00:44:14 I was walking again.
00:44:15 - Wow, I mean, that's an amazing story.
00:44:20 - Yeah.
00:44:22 - But do you ever wonder how you would feel
00:44:27 if you were never healed?
00:44:28 - Of course I did.
00:44:31 But I'm a firm believer in faith.
00:44:35 You see, things happen for a reason,
00:44:41 even if you can't see it in the moment.
00:44:44 - Faith, yeah, that's a, that's a hard one.
00:44:49 - Yeah, it is.
00:44:51 Especially when things aren't going your way.
00:44:54 - Kind of like now?
00:44:56 - Yeah.
00:44:58 Care to share?
00:45:01 It's just me and a big pile of dough.
00:45:05 (laughing)
00:45:08 - So I've been struggling a lot with that
00:45:14 because every year my dad would pray
00:45:18 for a bountiful Easter harvest.
00:45:21 And every year it seemed that his prayers were answered.
00:45:26 So why did he, of all people, have a heart attack?
00:45:32 When he died, I came home to help my mom on the farm.
00:45:39 And after his funeral, I just, I stopped praying.
00:45:44 I stopped going to church.
00:45:49 And then this year of all years
00:45:53 when we needed our biggest Easter bloom yet,
00:45:58 we've had the worst winter in decades.
00:46:02 So am I supposed to trust that's just a coincidence?
00:46:04 Or is that a punishment?
00:46:07 - I don't think God's waiting for us to get out of line
00:46:10 just so he can reprimand us.
00:46:11 But it's not a punishment.
00:46:13 I like to believe that God,
00:46:18 he loves us just as much in good times as bad.
00:46:20 Maybe during hard times he just wanted us
00:46:24 to get a little closer to him.
00:46:26 Comfort, support, love.
00:46:30 God loves us always.
00:46:34 - I mean, you're a pastor so you have to say that, right?
00:46:38 - Technically.
00:46:40 (laughing)
00:46:42 I am, but I still make mistakes.
00:46:47 I'm also supposed to take care of people
00:46:51 and right now getting this flower.
00:46:55 (sad music)
00:46:57 There.
00:47:01 - These are winners from previous years.
00:47:09 And then there's mine.
00:47:12 Well, there's still time till Easter.
00:47:17 (phone ringing)
00:47:20 Oh, good timing.
00:47:22 Lori.
00:47:24 - Good morning, Lady Bug.
00:47:25 - Can you please tell me that you have another lesson ready
00:47:28 because I still don't feel like I'm getting it.
00:47:30 - Patience makes perfect.
00:47:32 It's time for your third principle, purpose.
00:47:36 Now, we've been working on floral arrangements,
00:47:38 but it's important that every design says something
00:47:41 on a more deeper personal level.
00:47:44 You have to find inspiration outside the flowers
00:47:47 to put into the flowers.
00:47:48 - Okay, I'm following.
00:47:51 - So here's what I want you to do.
00:47:52 The church is hosting an Easter basket raffle
00:47:55 tomorrow evening at Parish Hall
00:47:56 to raise money for the local food bank.
00:47:58 Church members and non-church members
00:48:01 are creating and donating individualized baskets.
00:48:04 Now, the items in these baskets,
00:48:06 they all mean something very personal to their curators.
00:48:09 - So you want me to arrange an Easter basket,
00:48:13 but how is that supposed to make me
00:48:15 a better floral arranger?
00:48:16 - Lori?
00:48:20 - Sorry, dear.
00:48:23 Not every lesson reveals itself right away.
00:48:27 - Okay, I will do my best.
00:48:33 - You always do.
00:48:34 I'll see you tomorrow.
00:48:35 (gentle music)
00:48:38 - Any ideas on where I'd get some inspiration
00:48:47 for an Easter basket?
00:48:48 - I just might.
00:48:50 - Well, here's a good one.
00:48:57 - I used to love it when Dad would push me around
00:48:59 in the wheelbarrow.
00:49:00 - And you always came in needing a bath.
00:49:02 (both laughing)
00:49:05 - You remember that Christmas?
00:49:09 - That was probably the best Christmas ever.
00:49:11 You know, I still use those pruning shears.
00:49:14 - Feeling inspired?
00:49:18 - I think I've got an idea.
00:49:20 - Oh, thanks so much for coming.
00:49:25 Don't forget your raffle tickets.
00:49:27 So, what do you have?
00:49:32 - I did a My First Garden basket.
00:49:34 I got something like this
00:49:36 with Mrs. Many, Many Moons Ago,
00:49:38 and it really meant a lot to me.
00:49:41 It gave me a sense of independence and purpose,
00:49:44 so hopefully it'll do the same for someone else.
00:49:46 - You, Ladybug, have aced the assignment.
00:49:49 When you have a special connection to your arrangements,
00:49:51 it's gonna show in the final product.
00:49:53 Grace, can I have your help, please?
00:50:00 - Sure.
00:50:02 (people chattering)
00:50:05 - Well, well, well, look at that.
00:50:07 Garden basket.
00:50:09 Where's the mulch?
00:50:10 - Oh, it didn't go with the aesthetic.
00:50:12 Where's yours?
00:50:14 - It's a faith-based basket,
00:50:19 complete with mustard seeds.
00:50:21 - Very on-brand.
00:50:22 - Mm-hmm.
00:50:23 - But why don't you do something that's, you know,
00:50:25 like a rock climbing basket with some ropes, carabiners?
00:50:29 - I know, I know I can't control everything,
00:50:32 but one thing I can control
00:50:33 is how people in the church see me.
00:50:35 - Maybe there's something important
00:50:38 about sharing all sides of yourself.
00:50:41 - It's a little more complicated than that.
00:50:45 - But of course.
00:50:49 I'm here to meet you where you're at.
00:50:51 - I'm sorry, are you coming for my job?
00:50:54 - Well, I'll stick to farming.
00:50:56 For now.
00:50:58 - All right.
00:50:59 Well, for now, I should go emcee the event.
00:51:02 All right, and now for all the green thumbs in the church,
00:51:17 we have a basket donated by the wonderful Amanda Raymond,
00:51:22 a beautiful starter set
00:51:24 for the next great gardener out there.
00:51:27 Would you look at all those tickets?
00:51:29 All right.
00:51:30 - Please get a ticket, please get a ticket.
00:51:31 - See what we've got.
00:51:32 And the lucky winner is 2842.
00:51:37 2842.
00:51:38 28--
00:51:40 - That's me.
00:51:42 - Well, there we go.
00:51:43 Constance Hughes.
00:51:45 Constance Hughes, everyone.
00:51:46 Thank you, Constance.
00:51:48 You enjoy.
00:51:49 Okay, everyone, I think that wraps up our event for today.
00:51:52 Thank you all for coming out.
00:51:54 (soft music)
00:51:56 - Hey.
00:52:01 Look over there.
00:52:03 - This is for you.
00:52:06 - Really?
00:52:07 - Yeah, I think this is, oh.
00:52:08 You're welcome.
00:52:15 Hey, look at that.
00:52:17 - Uh-huh.
00:52:18 That right there,
00:52:20 that's the power of God's love.
00:52:24 - I, um, I do have to get home and practice,
00:52:28 but I was wondering if I could show you something first.
00:52:32 - Yeah.
00:52:34 Yeah, of course.
00:52:35 (soft music)
00:52:39 - Ready?
00:52:47 Voila.
00:52:48 - Wow.
00:52:49 You got good secrets.
00:52:51 - I got good secrets.
00:52:52 Look at those stars.
00:52:57 God's freckles.
00:52:59 And that's what my mom used to say.
00:53:02 - Can I ask you something?
00:53:06 - Sure, anything.
00:53:08 - I haven't been to church in a year,
00:53:12 and you're a pastor.
00:53:14 What do you see in me?
00:53:17 - So much.
00:53:21 I don't look at someone and wonder
00:53:23 how often they're going to church
00:53:25 or praying every day.
00:53:28 The size of someone's faith,
00:53:29 that can change as life changes.
00:53:32 But the size of someone's heart,
00:53:36 that's what I see.
00:53:37 I see that in you.
00:53:39 The way you love your family,
00:53:44 your farm,
00:53:46 the flowers.
00:53:50 - And I might be losing all that soon.
00:53:52 - I know the stress of all this must be a lot.
00:53:56 But have faith.
00:53:59 I see that in you too.
00:54:02 - You do?
00:54:05 - I do.
00:54:07 I'm praying for you.
00:54:10 Be patient with yourself.
00:54:12 That's my sermon for tomorrow.
00:54:17 - The fruit of patience.
00:54:19 - Now that's a tough one.
00:54:21 - Yeah?
00:54:23 It is.
00:54:25 But it's worth it.
00:54:27 Um, you probably have some flowers
00:54:36 that need to be arranged.
00:54:37 - Yes.
00:54:38 - We should probably get going.
00:54:39 - Yeah.
00:54:40 - Thank you for bringing me here.
00:54:44 - You're welcome.
00:54:47 - For bringing me here.
00:54:48 - Yeah.
00:54:50 Okay, sorry.
00:54:51 - Yeah.
00:54:52 Patience.
00:54:55 - Right, everything's set.
00:54:59 - Okay.
00:55:00 - Amanda!
00:55:02 - Hi, Lori.
00:55:03 I remember doing these eight races back in the day.
00:55:06 - This is your fourth principal, balance.
00:55:10 - Oh.
00:55:10 - All right, kids.
00:55:13 Oh, and Amanda.
00:55:15 Welcome.
00:55:16 The first race is a practice race, okay?
00:55:20 Time to perfect your strategy.
00:55:21 You drop your egg, don't worry,
00:55:23 it's a hard roll, just pick it back up and keep going.
00:55:25 All right, come to the starting line.
00:55:27 On your marks, get set,
00:55:30 go!
00:55:33 Go, go, go, go!
00:55:34 Careful, careful, you got it.
00:55:37 Go, go, go!
00:55:38 No, that's it, that's it, Timmy!
00:55:42 Go, go, go!
00:55:43 Yes!
00:55:44 Oh!
00:55:45 Great effort.
00:55:47 Great practice round.
00:55:48 Okay, the real race starts in a few minutes.
00:55:51 Do your stretches.
00:55:51 - How did I used to be so good at this as a kid?
00:55:54 - Think of it like this.
00:55:55 Look at your floral design,
00:55:57 and you have an imaginary axis
00:55:58 going right down the middle of it.
00:55:59 You can distribute flowers on both sides.
00:56:02 Well, think of it the same way with the race.
00:56:05 Center the egg on the spoon on that same axis.
00:56:08 - Center on the axis to create some balance.
00:56:12 - So, feeling confident?
00:56:15 - About as confident as I can be after one attempt.
00:56:19 - Well, good, 'cause I'm racing too.
00:56:21 Care to make a friendly wager?
00:56:26 - I'm listening.
00:56:27 - Well, if you win, I'll make you lunch.
00:56:31 If I win, you have to listen to my Sunday sermon.
00:56:34 - You know what?
00:56:38 Fine, you're on.
00:56:39 - All right, line up in the starting line.
00:56:41 First one to the finish wins.
00:56:44 And get ready, 'cause this one's gonna be
00:56:46 a lot faster than the last one.
00:56:48 Are you ready?
00:56:49 On your mark, get set, go.
00:56:53 Oh, gosh, don't drop it.
00:56:56 Oh, gosh, I'm not cheating.
00:56:59 I'm a pastor, I never cheat.
00:57:01 Oh, no!
00:57:02 - Oh, no!
00:57:03 - No, no!
00:57:05 Oh, good job, guys.
00:57:07 You did great.
00:57:08 Good work.
00:57:11 - Wow, you really got me.
00:57:13 - I don't think I've ever seen somebody
00:57:16 look so happy to lose a bet.
00:57:18 - Well, losing means I get to take you to lunch.
00:57:21 - Well, Ladybug, those are the four principles
00:57:26 that I can teach you.
00:57:28 Harmony, contrast, purpose, and balance.
00:57:31 - But there's still one left.
00:57:32 Master four and earn the fifth.
00:57:35 - That one's in here, my dear.
00:57:37 You have to discover it.
00:57:38 And in the meantime, you need to do
00:57:40 the three Ps of an expert floral arranger.
00:57:43 - The three Ps?
00:57:46 - Practice, practice, practice.
00:57:48 - All right, almost there.
00:57:57 - It's incredible.
00:58:06 - Come on.
00:58:08 (laughing)
00:58:10 - So, this is what I wanted to show you.
00:58:18 - They're snowdrops.
00:58:21 - I had no idea what they're called.
00:58:23 I just thought they were pretty.
00:58:25 - They're perfect.
00:58:28 Snowdrops can grow in adverse conditions like frost,
00:58:33 but they also tend to be the first flowers
00:58:36 to bloom in spring.
00:58:38 - Hmm, they kind of remind me of you.
00:58:42 - Thank you for taking me here.
00:58:48 - Oh, we're not done yet.
00:58:49 No, we are just getting started.
00:58:53 - So, the other day at the raffle,
00:59:01 you were talking about how it was complicated,
00:59:06 your image and how the church saw you.
00:59:09 What did you mean by that?
00:59:11 - Yeah, when I told you about my accident the other day,
00:59:16 I wasn't able to tell you the whole story.
00:59:20 You see, when I fell, I lost my footing.
00:59:26 And one of my students, he was tethered to me.
00:59:32 He fell even further than I did.
00:59:35 And he wasn't as lucky.
00:59:38 - He didn't make it?
00:59:43 - No, he did.
00:59:44 Thank God he did.
00:59:45 Just, he's in a wheelchair now.
00:59:52 When that day goes by,
00:59:56 I don't think about that poor kid.
00:59:58 I blame myself.
01:00:03 I can't even bring myself to rock climb again.
01:00:05 - I'm sorry.
01:00:08 - You know, in many ways I feel like moving out here
01:00:14 was just my attempt to get away from the memory of it all.
01:00:18 I feel like such a hypocrite sometimes.
01:00:22 You know, I'm asking people to find joy in their sorrow,
01:00:26 and here I am, running from my own.
01:00:32 We all have chapters of our lives
01:00:35 that we wish we could rewrite.
01:00:37 My dad would say, "Without tests,
01:00:41 "there could be no testimony."
01:00:44 Being open and vulnerable shows your humanity.
01:00:51 It gives people hope.
01:00:54 - I really like that.
01:00:58 Thank you.
01:01:02 (gentle music)
01:01:04 - Have you decided?
01:01:28 Your great word will reach so many young people.
01:01:31 - I know.
01:01:31 I wanna help.
01:01:33 And you more than anyone know about my adventurous side.
01:01:37 - What better way then?
01:01:39 There's no way around this relocation thing.
01:01:41 - Unfortunately not,
01:01:42 given the need to be near the mountains.
01:01:45 But think of all the upside.
01:01:46 - It's just too good of an opportunity to pass up, isn't it?
01:01:50 - Well, it's a pleasure, Samuel, as always.
01:02:01 - It's good to see you.
01:02:02 - Take care, friend.
01:02:03 - You too.
01:02:03 - Amanda?
01:02:21 Amanda?
01:02:26 (dramatic music)
01:02:29 - Good morning, Amanda.
01:02:35 I'm afraid I had a bit of a fall
01:02:37 carrying groceries this morning.
01:02:39 I'm at the hospital now getting some x-rays.
01:02:41 Don't worry, I'll be fine.
01:02:43 Keep practicing.
01:02:44 I believe in you, Ladybug.
01:02:46 - Really?
01:02:49 Is this part of your master plan?
01:02:51 (dramatic music)
01:02:53 - Here's the good news.
01:02:58 You are the creator of your own garden.
01:03:02 Yeah, there might be a weed here or there,
01:03:06 those you just pull out.
01:03:07 It wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.
01:03:10 But with what's left,
01:03:13 why not water that with love?
01:03:16 Let the light shine down on that.
01:03:20 It'll grow into a life that is beautiful.
01:03:22 - You're right.
01:03:27 Thanks, Dad.
01:03:28 I needed that.
01:03:29 - Hi.
01:03:39 - Amanda, you and Derek, you just missed Crossing Paths.
01:03:42 Oh my.
01:03:44 You did these?
01:03:49 - This morning.
01:03:50 - Well, Ladybug, I think you are ready
01:03:53 to go win a competition.
01:03:55 - Well, there's still one missing piece,
01:03:58 but I think I know what that final lesson is.
01:04:01 - You do?
01:04:03 - True beauty comes from the heart.
01:04:06 So the key to a winning arrangement has to be
01:04:10 love.
01:04:11 - Bravo.
01:04:16 - The final principle of love.
01:04:19 A winning floral arrangement is filled with the love
01:04:22 that you put into making it.
01:04:24 Amanda,
01:04:27 I very likely won't be on my feet in time
01:04:31 for the competition, but I promise you,
01:04:34 I am gonna be there in spirit.
01:04:36 - Thank you.
01:04:37 That really means a lot.
01:04:39 - So,
01:04:41 what's going on with you and Derek?
01:04:46 - I don't know.
01:04:47 I just feel like I'm not the right person for him.
01:04:50 - You know, when someone shows you who they are,
01:04:54 just believe them.
01:04:56 Not just the bad traits, but the good ones too.
01:05:00 Forgive him.
01:05:04 - It sounds like we could all use a little more
01:05:12 harmony in our lives.
01:05:15 - You're so right.
01:05:15 Could you do me a favor?
01:05:20 - Sure.
01:05:22 (knocking)
01:05:26 - Oh, hello.
01:05:30 - I'm Amanda Raymond.
01:05:32 We've never really talked.
01:05:34 I work--
01:05:34 - Honey, I don't mean to be rude,
01:05:36 but there's a very important floral competition
01:05:38 this weekend that I need to focus on.
01:05:39 So now's not a good time.
01:05:41 - Yeah, I hear you.
01:05:42 I just need five minutes of your time.
01:05:44 - Come in.
01:05:48 This way, please.
01:05:54 - Wow, that's gorgeous.
01:05:58 - Thank you.
01:06:01 - I'm here actually as a delivery person today.
01:06:06 Laurie Matthews wanted me to give this to you.
01:06:08 (gentle music)
01:06:11 - Oh, Loretta.
01:06:19 How far apart we've grown.
01:06:21 - I don't actually think the two of you
01:06:23 are as far apart as you each think.
01:06:25 Anyway, good luck at the competition tomorrow.
01:06:30 I mean, not that you're gonna need it.
01:06:32 - Thank you for stopping by.
01:06:35 - You're welcome.
01:06:37 (gentle music)
01:06:39 - Hey, God.
01:06:45 It's me, Amanda.
01:06:47 I know we haven't talked in a while,
01:06:53 but I'm here.
01:06:56 We really need you.
01:07:01 (gentle music)
01:07:03 - Thank you.
01:07:08 - Ladybug latte for luck.
01:07:13 - You're the best.
01:07:15 So, win the competition, save the farm.
01:07:22 No pressure, right?
01:07:23 - Well, if it doesn't work out,
01:07:24 maybe you can come on as a partner at the cafe.
01:07:29 - But who am I kidding?
01:07:29 You're gonna win this thing.
01:07:31 Okay, bye.
01:07:32 - Welcome, talented florists.
01:07:36 You will all have three hours to create your designs
01:07:39 with a short break at the halfway point.
01:07:42 As instructed in the contest details,
01:07:44 you are all allowed to bring in
01:07:45 and incorporate one item meaningful to you.
01:07:49 We look forward to seeing your creations and good luck.
01:07:53 (audience applauding)
01:07:56 (gentle music)
01:07:59 (gentle music)
01:08:02 (gentle music)
01:08:05 (gentle music)
01:08:08 (gentle music)
01:08:10 (gentle music)
01:08:13 (gentle music)
01:08:15 - Stop arranging.
01:08:42 We will have a five minute break before we continue.
01:08:45 Ladybug.
01:08:46 - Lori, you made it.
01:08:50 I got cleared just in time.
01:08:52 How are you doing?
01:08:53 - Not great.
01:08:54 It's not coming together like I want it to
01:08:56 and the clock is ticking down and-
01:08:58 - It's okay.
01:09:00 Just close your eyes, just breathe.
01:09:02 And I want you to think about the five principles,
01:09:04 harmony, contrast, purpose, balance, love.
01:09:09 (Lori sighs)
01:09:11 - Okay, I'm gonna be okay.
01:09:18 - The halfway break is over.
01:09:22 The competition is back on.
01:09:24 - Okay, I gotta get back to work.
01:09:27 I will make you proud.
01:09:28 - You will.
01:09:29 (dramatic music)
01:09:32 (dramatic music)
01:09:35 (dramatic music)
01:09:38 - Five, four, three, two, one.
01:10:05 (audience applauding)
01:10:08 And third place goes to
01:10:25 Macy Williams.
01:10:28 (audience applauding)
01:10:33 We are down to our top two finalists.
01:10:36 The judges would like to recognize the work
01:10:39 of Constance Hughes
01:10:41 (audience applauding)
01:10:44 and Amanda Raymond.
01:10:46 (audience applauding)
01:10:49 The judges have collectively decided
01:10:51 that this has been the closest margin that we've ever seen.
01:10:55 But the winner of this year's Easter competition
01:11:02 is...
01:11:02 (gentle music)
01:11:10 - The winner is
01:11:13 Constance Hughes.
01:11:18 (audience applauding)
01:11:21 Which makes newcomer Amanda Raymond our runner up.
01:11:25 Congratulations to all our participants
01:11:29 and happy Easter weekend.
01:11:31 (gentle music)
01:11:33 - I tried.
01:11:36 Sorry.
01:11:39 - You're apologizing?
01:11:40 Can you imagine the look on your father's face
01:11:44 if he saw what you accomplished today?
01:11:46 He'd be over the moon.
01:11:48 Now that's the truth.
01:11:49 Oh, he left.
01:11:53 Big day tomorrow.
01:11:54 - Lori, I just wanted to say thank you
01:11:59 for teaching me the five principles.
01:12:02 I realized that they're all things
01:12:05 that I've been missing in my own life.
01:12:07 You've given me a renewed sense of purpose on Easter.
01:12:12 - That's the most important lesson of all.
01:12:15 - Congratulations.
01:12:25 It's really beautiful.
01:12:28 - Thank you.
01:12:29 - We're having an Easter brunch at the farm tomorrow.
01:12:32 Wanted to invite you.
01:12:34 It's sort of a final send off.
01:12:38 - I'm not sure that I can,
01:12:40 but I really appreciate the invitation.
01:12:42 It would mean so much to me if you could make it.
01:12:45 We'll see.
01:12:46 Thank you for the sunflower.
01:12:51 - You're welcome.
01:12:53 - Happy Easter to both of you.
01:12:57 - Happy Easter.
01:12:58 - Happy Easter.
01:12:59 - Farm.
01:13:12 - Warm weather on an Easter Sunday.
01:13:14 Doesn't get much better than that.
01:13:16 - It's just wonderful to see the best version
01:13:18 of my daughter back.
01:13:19 Joyful and hopeful.
01:13:22 - You're my mom.
01:13:24 You have to say that.
01:13:25 Come on.
01:13:26 (soft music)
01:13:28 - Dad did so many of these for other people
01:13:44 and we never did one for him.
01:13:46 Thank you for organizing this.
01:13:50 - Oh, it wasn't just me.
01:13:52 - It wasn't?
01:13:55 - No.
01:13:57 Pastor Derek called me and asked if it was okay.
01:13:59 (soft music)
01:14:07 I'm gonna go get our seats.
01:14:20 - Amanda.
01:14:23 - Pastor.
01:14:23 (soft music)
01:14:26 - On this Easter Sunday,
01:14:36 there is just one more fruit of the Holy Spirit
01:14:40 left to talk about.
01:14:41 Love.
01:14:44 'Cause today is about a resurrection.
01:14:50 And in that resurrection, love wins.
01:14:55 You see, God loves all of us.
01:14:59 After all, we are made in his image.
01:15:02 And yet I,
01:15:08 I realize I haven't been completely open
01:15:13 about my own journey.
01:15:15 (soft music)
01:15:18 God places people in our lives for a reason.
01:15:23 And someone very special in my own life
01:15:25 taught me the importance of being who God created me to be.
01:15:29 Before God's path led me here,
01:15:38 I was involved in a terrible rock climbing accident.
01:15:45 It was a moment that irrevocably changed
01:15:47 several lives, mine included.
01:15:50 And though I was lucky enough to have forgiveness
01:15:52 from those around me,
01:15:53 I was unable to find it in my heart
01:15:58 to forgive myself.
01:16:01 But today, in the spirit of the resurrection,
01:16:07 I forgive myself.
01:16:14 (soft music)
01:16:16 And I'm committed to embracing who he created me to be,
01:16:23 including my love for rock climbing, a gift from God.
01:16:26 You see, our relationship with God
01:16:30 is rooted in love and forgiveness.
01:16:33 And just as God forgives us,
01:16:36 we too must learn to forgive each other and ourselves.
01:16:41 Ourselves.
01:16:42 After all, forgiveness is the purest expression of love.
01:16:49 So on this Easter Sunday,
01:16:55 let us walk this path of love together.
01:16:59 Amen.
01:17:00 (congregation applauding)
01:17:03 Thank you.
01:17:06 Amen.
01:17:10 (congregation applauding)
01:17:14 (soft music)
01:17:19 (knocking)
01:17:24 - I'll get it.
01:17:25 - Making up for a late room.
01:17:26 Cooking looks delicious.
01:17:29 - Hi. - Hey.
01:17:32 Happy Easter.
01:17:34 - Happy Easter.
01:17:37 - Listen, I just wanna let you know how much it meant to me.
01:17:42 Seeing your face at church this morning,
01:17:44 it really warmed my heart.
01:17:45 And congratulations, by the way, on yesterday.
01:17:50 - Thank you.
01:17:51 I couldn't save the farm, but I did my best.
01:17:56 - I'm proud of you.
01:17:59 - And I'm proud of you for showing the church
01:18:03 your authentic self.
01:18:05 It took a lot.
01:18:07 - Hey, Mom, I'm gonna miss you.
01:18:09 - Miss me?
01:18:12 - Yeah, aren't you taking the job?
01:18:14 - Turned it down.
01:18:16 - Why?
01:18:19 - Because there's something here,
01:18:21 something special with you, with us.
01:18:27 And I feel like it's just begun.
01:18:30 And I can't wait to see where it goes.
01:18:35 Or grows or blooms.
01:18:37 Okay, I'll stop.
01:18:39 That is, of course, if you're open to it.
01:18:44 - Constance.
01:18:47 - Constance.
01:18:48 - You made it. - I did.
01:18:51 - Come inside.
01:18:52 I can give you a tour.
01:18:53 Come in. - Thank you.
01:18:58 - Thank you.
01:18:59 - I have to do it.
01:19:10 - Yes.
01:19:11 Thank you, Loretta.
01:19:13 And I just have to say, I'm so sorry.
01:19:16 Please forgive me.
01:19:18 - We both played an equal part, Constance,
01:19:21 so I ask of you the same thing.
01:19:27 - Thanks. - Oh, yeah.
01:19:29 - I have an announcement.
01:19:36 This is such a beautiful farm,
01:19:43 run by a beautiful family.
01:19:45 And Amanda, you are the most talented young--
