00:00 Supporters of a Swedish EU employee arrested in Iran two years ago have made a renewed
00:08 appeal for his release.
00:11 Sweden says 33-year-old Johan Flodderus, who worked for the External Action Service, was
00:17 arbitrarily detained.
00:20 We are dedicated to Johan's case.
00:24 We are working closely with the Swedish authorities.
00:27 We condemn Johan's imprisonment and demand his immediate release.
00:32 We condemn the conditions of his imprisonment and we demand he is treated according to his
00:38 right.
00:40 His family say he was arrested in April 2022 at Tehran airport while returning from a holiday
00:47 with friends.
00:49 But in December, the Iranian judiciary's news agency said Flodderus had been accused of
00:54 spying for Israel and corruption on earth, a crime that carries the death penalty in
01:00 Iran.
01:03 His family denied those allegations and Sweden's foreign minister slammed them as completely
01:08 baseless and false.
01:10 "Senor Flodderus..."
01:12 (upbeat music)
01:14 (whooshing)
